8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #14

If there is anyone who doesn't have trip insurance, please get it.

My step mother and her daughter called yesterday morning to tell us my father died. I asked when they were planning to have the funeral and they said Friday. I got a call later saying the family has decided to have the funeral on SUNDAY instead.

So I had to cancel. I'll get a refund. DCL refunded half yesterday and I have to turn in calm forms to the insurance company for the balance.

Since I didn't book airfare with DCL, I may be out of that expense.

Is there anyone here who hasn't purchased DL park passes yet? I have two of the three day Southern California passes. If someone needs them, they are yours (no charge). They expire on the 30. If I don't give them way, they will be wasted.

If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll overnight them before we head to South Carolina on Tuesday.

If no one here needs them, I'll try to give them away on DL board when I return.

Sorry to be a downer in the mist of all the excitement.

She's 14- but she's a very VERY immature 14yr old.. (adhd/odd you name it)
AND she's just never been the type of kid to have like friends to go to their houses and stuff like that. But even the few times she's gone to birthday parties and stuff I've known where she's going, the people she's going with, address/number, etc. I literally only know the girls name is Jennifer and that they go to our church- that's it.

right now I'm glad she's not home becuase i'm in a mood to wring her neck at the moment! But I'm still panicky- hope she doesn't get hurt, hope everything is okay and I know in my heart of hearts she'll be at church tonight but a teeny part of me is like what in the world would we tell the police if she didn't show up tonight? THAT HOURS AND HOURS AGO she was just going to some "jennifer's" house to ride horses? we'd look like the worst parents in the world.

Sorry you have to feel this way. I feel this way all the time and I have DH at times making me pantic too. Cause he is upset because Ryan doesn't communicate. Sometimes I feel that he hides stuff. Gosh teenagers. I am right there with you on wringing neck. Because I feel that all the time when Ryan does what he does. TEENAGERS they need to communicate. I hope she will be at church. Ryan did the same thing at church too. Instead of going to church he went to the movies and didn't come out of church. I was waiting for him afterwards and never came out. I finally called his cell and told me that he was at the movies and I said "WHAT". I pulled him out of the movies he didn't tell me that he was going and he didn't get to see all of the movie. I was so mad. This happened acouple of years ago. He told the pastor that he was with that his mom said it was fine. It wasn't fine with me cause I didn't know. Gosh I totally understand where you are coming from.
I will pantic with you, sorry honey. Please take a deep breath and she will be fine. I can't wait to meet you cause we have alot in common.

People are cruel and Andrew doesn't talk about his incident. Although we did have to send him to therapy which he quit after 2 months. Refused to go. However, he does have an awesome scar on his left upper thigh. We told him to tell everyone that a shark got him and ripped him his leg to pieces. Yikes! Don't need that memory in my brain - suffice it to say - he has a whopper of a scar on his leg and puncture marks on his arm and behind.



Darn It Andrew! You were supposed to send her here afterwards........what have you done with her and why is she mad?

Me either on being ready. The boys tell me that the can pack the day we leave but I have to do laundry. You can talk to me anytime ok, no worries vent to me I don't mind because I have the same problem. DH does this to me too. Then he freaks me out when Ryan doesn't come home, or whatever the case maybe. Gosh I just had to run upstairs to close all the windows, we just started having a down pour outside and thunder.

I am suppose to go to the store but haven't and I will after it stops raining I hope ends soon. I will be soaked if I go outside. LOL.

Please let me know if Ruby does come home because I am worrying with you even though she isn't mine. If you don't mind me worrying with you. I just feel for you. On the punishment thing I wouldn't get her nails done tonight though. Maybe a day or two later if she comes back to you and apologizes for you worrying. I am sure she is fine but I pray for her being ok. I hope maybe we can get together on the ship and maybe the kids can meet too.

Oh my! ITA with this! No more biking riding June!

I'm a little behind here lately! I can't even seem to make it to chat! All of sudden family & friends are inviting us over for dinner. I guess they figure, we'll be gone the rest of the summer so they better invite us now. Well it's nice & all, but I still have magnets, iron-on transfers & FE gifts to finish. Tonight we are invited to my BIL & SIL's for lobster, so I'll be behind again!

Well we leave TOMORROW- so it's either her nails tonight or not at all. I suppose I COULD be persuaded to do it on one of our "hotel days" this next week (I plan on doing DL every other day/hotel every other day to take it kinda easy plus only pay for 3 days tickets LOL) but it will take some major kissing up- let me tell you LOL

I don't mind you worrying with me. I'm a worrywart anyway- the more the merrier! LOL
The thing is- I worry about things all the time so Jeff is so used to it that he totally neglects to realize that SOMETIMES there really IS something big to worry about and he should join me in atleast caring. I mean for crying out loud. It's like he thinks our kids are invincible or nothing bad could happen to us. I don't have the luxury of feeling so carefree about things- one of us has to do the worrying! LOL

Well I'm working on luggage and I somehow managed to cram things in tighter and now I'm down to 4 carryons (prefer carryons so I know the items in the luggage won't disappear! atleast not on the flight LOL) and 2 checked luggage! (I had 4 checked luggage- I did some taking out of stuff and cramming things in tighter too LOL)
Now I have a decision to make.. do I go ahead and take JEFF'S checked luggage with us since that would still only be 3 checked luggage (for the 4 of us)? It willl be more luggage for us to mess with- but on the other hand I don't have to worry about Jeff forgetting it, or worry about them giving him a hard time about the free checked luggage thing (since we bought the tickets way before this fee started but don't actually have the tickets to prove that... just a printed out thing of the email we got for the tickets and have to check in/print boarding pass only within 24hrs of the flight). So he'd be able to just grab his carryon and go straight to security.

OH who am I kidding... this is one more thing I can "control" so ofcourse I'm gonna deal with his checked luggage. LOL

Had a bit of a scare today. I went to grab all the passports to take to work with me and photocopy....and found the kids but not DH and mine! Yikes. I didn't panic for the first 10 minutes...then felt it creep over me as I raced from one "special hiding place" to the next! Wow...after almost 30 minutes I found them in a folder I had used when we went down to th epost office to get the kids passports earlier this year. DH, who never gets uptight about anything, said to me afterwards....wow, I was starting to sweat this time! Whew....what a relief!

Wow... a lot of activity on this final Sunday before the TOAL! What, no one's watching the Olympics?

At any rate... I don't blame your daughter for being in tears on the ride home. After my bicycle accident I started riding again - and found it uncomfortable when similar circustances arose to that when I was hit!

Thanks for the info about watching for cars backing out of driveways...that's one of the many reasons why we don't ride on roads.

We always stick to the bike trails. Unfortunately, the trail does cross one street. The street is designed to have traffic slowing islands in it and is clearly labeled that a bike path crosses it with plenty of caution signs. Unfortunately, the driver of the Suburban was too busy talking on the phone to notice the signs and if June hadn't hit the brakes hard she would have hit the car or worse, vice versa.

BTW and no big deal, June is my DW...with three boys, I'm not sure what I'd do with a daughter!!

Awesome idea...This reminds me, has anyone seen the pins for our cruise? I thought the WB Repo had their pins available for preview a few weeks prior to the cruise. I'm assuming ours will be about the same with the addition of Cartagena.

It takes one to know one that's why I can say it! Plus I really meant it as a compliment because I am the least creative person in the world but give me a tax return and look out!!!

I thought I lost the rewards card today.. a monicaisim for sure... but luckliy i found it after a 1/2 of looking.. thought i had it in one spot but it was in a wired spot.. but i am glad that it okay..

Put the passports in the passporter.. ( if i forget, remind me please)

Dh is thinking maybe he'll pack on friday nite or sat am.. ( we are leaving sat at 6 am) oh well.. maybe he'll have clean clothes too.. if he can decide what he is taking on Thursday .. as that is the last night I am doing laundry..

That's the camera we have- but I noticed it said on the bottom an expiration date for the film inside! and it's expired! wonder if that really means the pictures won't come out? ugh the box is all crushed from being packed in the suitcase- DH is the one that was digging thru his luggage and noticed the expiration date. I wonder if they'll let me exchange it with the box all crushed like that. LOL

Oh, I just found these cool pics, I might just print them out anyways. I don't have a ink jet printer to make the magnets so I just can't. I am so glad that you found your passports. I do the same thing when I can't find something. What we do at times. LOL
