Ok while you were all chatting away I was packing. Came back here and it took me forever to ketchup. We have everything is 2 large suitcases, 1 medium case and a garment bag...and room left over for last minute items. I still have some clothes that I need this week, plus our toiletries, medicine, etc. And we don't leave until Sunday morning. Then I gathered up all our memory cards and made sure they didn't have photos that needed to copied to the computer. (of course they did and I had to copy them and then delete) So now I have 5MB+ of memory cards and we are bringing the laptop, so I hope that is enough.

Medicine Question
What is the best way to pack your prescriptions? I have 5 different medicines I take every day plus 2 non presciption meds so I buy in bulk. I know you are supposed to bring the originally prescription but I don't want to bring 90 days worth of medicine x 5. And the vitamins and aspirin are in large bottes too.

After yesterday's fly across the handlebars, June has several scrapes and bruises to show for her spill. But she was a trooper and today we went for a long bike ride. Near the end of the ride, she tried to avoid a lady and her dog and almost ended up in a stream. Less than a minute later, she almost got hit by a Suburban

After giving the driver a piece of her mind, she was pretty shaken up and in tears riding home. She decided that she wasn't going to chance it and will stay off the bike until after the TOAL!!

June stay away from the bike until after you are safely aboard the ship!!! I am afraid to go up the stairs thinking I will fall down the stairs.

I got it at Target. I don't know if you have a Target by you or not though. Maybe WalMart if you have that or maybe your food store?

Crash...........have you tried the lower resolution on movies. We took movies of DS wedding on our Sony and they turned out beautiful. Got a lot of miutes on each mini DVD. We are taking about 30 minis with us and an extra memory pro stick. We are also bringing our Digital Fugi camera.

Hi everyone, I'm checking in from Huntington Beach, CA -- the flight was super smooth yesterday and we actually got in about half an hour early. All the luggage arrived, and we took a taxi to the Hyatt here to relax at the beach until we switch to DL on Tuesday. Hope all of you are well and see you this time next week!

I'm a little behind here lately! I can't even seem to make it to chat! All of sudden family & friends are inviting us over for dinner. I guess they figure, we'll be gone the rest of the summer so they better invite us now. Well it's nice & all, but I still have magnets, iron-on transfers & FE gifts to finish. Tonight we are invited to my BIL & SIL's for lobster, so I'll be behind again!

Gosh you are so lucky to leave early (tomorrow) I hope that you all have a great time at DL. We are not leaving till Friday. I am trying to figure out the luggage stuff to today but they all don't want to pack until the day of..Geesh. I still have to do laundry and DS(Ryan) doesn't get it.LOL Again we do it all you know. i still have to do laundry though. I need to get a move on huh? I will probably be up all night tonight. I haven't been sleeping well lately anyway and then if I stay up late (again) I can't like sleep in tomorrow- I have too much stuff to do tomorrow! Things that can't be done today (ie: take dog to his home-away-from-home for the duration of our trip, take bird to mom's house, go to highschool and beg for Ruby's schedule a few days early, etc.)

Atleast I KNOW that I'll be so tired after staying up tonight and all tomorrow that I'll actually SLEEP once we get to Hojo's so I'll be rested up for the first day at DL on Tuesday! hehe

Ruby won't be coming home soon... she's supposed to be back at church tonight at 7pm and we pick her up at 8:15-ish. I'll probably be at the church before 7 though just so I can see her arrive and know she's safe about an hour earlier...... LOL

I thought I lost the rewards card today.. a monicaisim for sure... but luckliy i found it after a 1/2 of looking.. thought i had it in one spot but it was in a wired spot.. but i am glad that it okay..

Put the passports in the passporter.. ( if i forget, remind me please)

Dh is thinking maybe he'll pack on friday nite or sat am.. ( we are leaving sat at 6 am) oh well.. maybe he'll have clean clothes too.. if he can decide what he is taking on Thursday .. as that is the last night I am doing laundry..

Personally, when on the last trip Ruby had 90 day scripts, we brought them in original bottles but LEFT THE EXTRA medicine at home. I didn't want to take that much medicine but knew it was supposed to be in original bottles, so I took out all but the week of meds she'd need out of the bottles and put all that in baggies- labelled ofcourse- at home. The bottles were almsot empty ofcourse and took up extra space because they are big bottles, but I was not about to have them tell me I couldn't bring her meds. LOL

Terri..........I just bring all my pills in a 7 day pill keeper (We are taking 4 of them this trip). John and I take 7 prescription drugs and 5 non prescription drugs. I have never been stopped without orginal pill bottles. We buy in 90 day supply too. I would need a large suitcase just for the drugs!!

It was me..I posted that they came out okay...and figured since 2 disposibles were 30 bucks and this one was 25..it was worth it to me. They came out about the same. DH is currently uploading the pics and I will post them soon.

As for poker, DH is interested but wasn't sure if anyone else was. I told him what you said, that you or I could always go into PV and get some chips, somehow, I have a sneaky suspicion that men.....er....people will be coming out of the wood work for this especially on a sea day!

That's the camera we have- but I noticed it said on the bottom an expiration date for the film inside! and it's expired! wonder if that really means the pictures won't come out? ugh the box is all crushed from being packed in the suitcase- DH is the one that was digging thru his luggage and noticed the expiration date. I wonder if they'll let me exchange it with the box all crushed like that. LOL

We had a couple that expired in June and tried to use them last week just to see what they would do..the film did not process well. I am not sure how expired your are but I would use them for fun but nothing that you want to rely on for memories.


We are back from Pinks! I will post some pictures..Chrissie and Brenden are as nice as I thought...the wait wasnit to bad..about half of an hour..by the time we left..it was a lot longer of a wait. They are off in Hollywood sightseeing and we are getting ready to go to a birthday party.

That is so funny Ryan has been in band camp all week too. Ryan plays the drums. I hope that you can get everything done. I need to get started as well but I keep being on here. Right now I am not so worried about it but starting tomorrow I am in panic mode. I have to drop of DH's truck to get it fixed. So, I won't have a car all day, so actually Tuesday will be my day to get things done.

take them to the pharmacy and ask if they will make a label and put them on a smaller bottle for travel. I have done that at my pharmacy before.
