Wished I could have watched the opening cermonies, but I've been working with my DS10 on his homework that was given to him this past Wednesday when we enrolled him in school for the year. As he's missing 8 1/2 days, they decided to load him up. However, he's had a very positive attitude about it! He even cleaned his room today better than he's ever done, as well as volunteered to help with chores. Are we in the twilight zone!?
My youngest also has homework, but first grade homework is pretty easy! My oldest doesn't have teachers assigned yet, so he's going to have to work like heck to make it up when we get back! At least it'll keep him occupied.
Pity Party!
Sorry to hear that. I've had my toenail removed before -- very painful!
That reminds me of our story from this morning.
My DW and I were riding bikes and going through an area with three 90 degree turns fairly close together. Anyway, she braked too hard on the second corner and went flying over her handlebars. It was horrible to watch as I was behind her. I was expecting her to get up in tears and hurting, but she just got up and laughed...thankful for no broken bones! She did break a nail, got a very nasty bruise on her thigh and scrapes on her arm, but overall she got lucky. On the last cruise, she had rotator cuff surgery two weeks prior to the cruise so we don't need any broken arms, etc.!!!
