Wow - you folks have been chatty! I've been super busy and haven't had time to keep up here.

Looks like I missed some birthdays! Happy Belated Birthday Cheryl!! and all others! (I just have actually met Cheryl AND talked on the phone with her :thumbsup2 )

The Pirate Navigator, Maps and roster should be available soon. I just sent a stuff to M and I know she is hard at work too.

I COMPLETELY agree!! Everyone told me I would learn to like coffee in college. Well, nope- still gross.
I do love my iced tea though (unsweet). :thumbsup2

I totally agree! I have never learned to like coffee - the smell is OK, the taste is awful. I LOVE iced tea. It was the one thing I really objected to giving up when I was pregnant. DH is a diet coke person. I showed DS9 the Grumpy design wit the diet coke and he says we HAVE to print it out for dad!

I'll try and keep up, but it is going to be a crazy busy weekend with the big 100th birthday party on Sunday.

Pamela

Last I heard it was sea day Thurs 8/21 at 2:00 in Stephanie's cabin.
That day is filling up quick, with the wenches lunch now and a get together at 4:00! Yikes

DD asked me about this yesterday...she is hoping it happens!

Yep, that was the arrangement, but I couldn't see it on the schedule.

Sounds good, maybe our secret ploy will work and will keep everyone away that weekend! LOL :rotfl: :woohoo:
For my own expectations, I am still planning for crowds the entire time, but the weekends in the summer don't really scare me anymore, we are going enough days that it won't matter. I usually don't go in the summer, so it will all be more crowded than when I am used to. :)

I'm not really worried about it. Given that I've done almost everything at DL multiple times (except the very new stuff, which is what early entry is for), it doesn't really matter to me which rides or how many I go on.

But if the crowds are lighter, so much the better - I might actually spend more time in the park instead of lounging by the pool.....

I hate when I do this..I accidently clicked on the kid's thread (I skim..didn't read in full) and couldn't figure out the "new" user names and why they all sounded like teenagers in thier posting.. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Although....where I went in...someone thinks the DQ is unsupervised...hope they aren't disappointed...kids..gotta love em!

When I get bored I post on the 08/17/2008 Wonder double dip thread.:thumbsup2

The release of Breaking Dawn, the next book in the Twilight series. The party starts at 10:00PM, book goes on sale at 12:01AM. It's a prom theme, so Alana is wearing one of her formal/semi-formal dresses.

We'll be at the local one here...DD wanted me to drive her 1 1/2 hours away until she found one a few minutes from here.

Arlene.. we will probably be check more than others since we are flying one way.. it happened to us in the May 05 Repo.. You will notice when you check at each checkpoint will put a different mark on your boarding pass.. so we are prepared.. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think most of us are flying one way.
TSA would have no way of knowing that I am flying to LA on one airline and from MCO on another 2+ weeks later on a different airline.

Hi Gang,

I think I'm getting a little stressed - I had a dream that the Pirate Bus took everyone not to the Port but to Puerta Vallarta and to the zip line tour location. And - they provided a picnic lunch for everyone!!

Okay - back to packing - etc.

:rotfl2:
If we are going all the way to PV by bus, I'm gonna expect a bit more than lunch!

That reminds me - is there an official task force representative at each of the bus locations? Just in case the bus doesn't show up, or the bus shows up and the driver runs away screaming at the sight of 70 pirates and their luggage. Will there be someone who know how to get ahold of you and/or the bus company?

No! No! No! I am the ray of sunshine! Just ask M. (BTW, thanks M, my wife loves the "ray of sunshine" title and has taken to calling me that along with her other pet name for me).

:sunny: :lmao:
Hmm, let me guess...

First word: smart or dumb (choose one)
Second word: {begins with a}

I have a bad feeling that my FE may be loaded with LIME green ...errrr

pirate:

I gotta tell ya, a year ago, I was worried that someone was going to put pirate logo thongs in everyone's FE.

2 sunscreens..too much or is that good?

Chrissie

2??? I'm brining 12!!
But spray-on sunscreen runs out faster and there are 4 of us.

You are so flippin' sunshine, you are the Earl of sunshine.

:lmao:
Gosh, I wonder what his chat name will be tonight!

I thought you would all get a kick out of this wording

What about medications?

I usually wear sandals, easier to get off.

But are they comparable to those temps in our area?

DL will be pretty compreable, San Pedro (being on the water) will be a little cooler.

I guess that depends.......How dark is your skin, Chrissie? Do you tan easily? You could always pick up more in a port if needed. I will probably have 3 for 4 for my family to share.

We're packing 4 full sunscreen tubes for 3 of us. But I plan on spending a lot of time in the water and I fry if you look at me wrong.

Debi, prescription medication should be in the bottles they came in from the pharmacy. As for OTC's, I usually pick up the smaller bottles and take those, unless it's something that I think I might need more of (Tylenol for those hang-over's)

OH! I am what you would call....PASTEY! Blonde,Blue Eyed, Irish/English girl her! My 3 "colors" are OMG white,Red and holy carp you are a lobster! (haven't been the latter in a LONG time..got it once bad as a kid and learned my lesson!)

So "tan" is not in my vocab! And most of the time I seek shade....with in the realm of the sunny areas!

Chrissie

Well.....you may want to take one extra sunscreen to be safe. You don't want to risk a sunburn and be miserable for a few days.

On another note, I had my yearly physical yesterday & she gave me some happy pills for the flight out & she also told me that she wished I had told her about the trip sooner & she would've given me the Hep A shots. I guess some doctors are more cautious than others. :confused3 She did give me a tetanus shot while I was there & now I'm wondering if I should get the kids one or are they pretty much up to date with all that stuff for kids?

I need to get to a doctor to refill my Happy pills! Mine up and quit his practice.

Oh! Can't wait to see Peter's - you all know how handy he is - Peter are you bedazzling too? :teeth:

Peter doesn't have time to answer you. He's busy knitting a speedo.

The navigator & maps are going to be such a help! Thanks to you & M & anyone else who contributed! :flower3:

Mike and Pamela!

We'll be at the local one here...DD wanted me to drive her 1 1/2 hours away until she found one a few minutes from here.

Are you still planning to drive to CA?? Don't you have to leave soon?

I'm so glad someone else thought about extra Tylenol!!
:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1  :faint: :headache:

engagement-2drings-2d1.jpg

DD27 and her boyfriend came over for dinner last night and broke the news. They have finally set a date for their wedding. They have been together for a few years and have been talking marriage but had not set a date. They are getting married on July 11, 09. They said I could give them a Disney Cruise for their honeymoon. :rotfl2: He is a great guy and is very good with her son. I will have to find something special for them on this cruise.

Congratulations on your daughters upcoming wedding. My daughter also recently got engaged and they are getting married Sept. 5, 2009. They will be going on a Disney Cruise Sept. 26, 09 for their honeymoon....couple weeks later but thats the one they wanted to do.

Thank you. I always put them in a ziplock,in my carryon...do they need to be pulled out and scanned separately as well?

Congrats!
Glad it worked out..when are you going to spring it on her?

I believe that's only if it's liquid medication including eye drops, lubricants & gel caps.
