Oh No! Have spent the last 4 days in the hospital with DH. Drs. say he had a TIA (mini stroke). No lasting difficulties that we know of, but still running lots of tests. Hope they okay us for the cruise. Everything is bought and DD10 is already packed. I have lots that won't get done. Might be the worst dressed but as long as we're on the cruise...

Forget about clothes, decorations and whatever else you are stressing about. Those are mere triffles.

Yanno we are all stressing about what to wear, what to bring, and quite frankly we all have too much stuff to cram into our suitcases - your comment about being "worst dressed" made me pause. Good golly we are all so lucky to be healthy enough and have the means to go on an adventure such as this.



My DS Andrew turns 10 on the last sea day (8/30).
I'd really appreciate any general-purpose birthday stuff you are willing to share.

Good point, we feel very blessed we are still able to go the way the economy is.

I know they say it does not work but I have always had great luck with Airbonne. I always have the girls start taking it about a week before we leave and they have never gotten sick. Hope I am not jinxing us.

I feel like it works for me !!! I will not board a plane without taking one hour prior.

Oh the yucky part of today....besides not leaving yet...

I know what you mean !!! The last 2 days I have been asking myself..........why is all this bad stuff happening now? Yesterday my FIL just told us he is not coming to our house while we are gone. Why oh well he really doesn't want to look after the dog.


Today the fire department was at my 5 month old house. I am thankful that everything is o.k but I really didn't need this scare before we go. We have a security system so of course fir dept. was called. Brand new house and we have a faulty smoke detector by attic. Geesh I need a break. Sorry for the ramble.

Oy, timing is everything. DD12 has a sinus infection!! But doc said she can fly, and gave us at first 2 weeks of anti-biotics. When I told her we would be leaving next Thursday and be gone until Sept, she made the script for 3 weeks!! So DD is set!! DS has been complaining of a sore throat..so I might just bring him in to be on the safe side. Lets get all the sickness outta the way NOW!!

So, is anyone else flying Virgin America outta JFK next Thursday?? Would love if there were Disers on the plane. We could chat together via RED LOL!!!

Sounds good, but we might be doing the parks 'commando style' I think its DL park 6.30am Thursday and Saturday, and DCA Park at 9.30am after a character breakie at 8am Friday.

With only three full days it will be hard to fit it all in, as Alice still has issues with water in her ears the pool might get droped not sure, need to try and fit some shopping in.

That's true -- I was forgetting that you are getting there later. With 5 days in the parks, my plan is to be there at opening (including early entry days) at DL, switch to DCA when it opens, collect FPs to use later, take the afternoon pool break, shower, and head back to one or the other of the parks for the evening. Are you coming to the Fantasmic meet on the night of the 16th, Andrew?

You know, we leave early Saturday morning, so we will have to banter quite a bit this week to get you up 300 posts! Even though I basically have everything ready at this point, I do feel there are still alot of loose ends to tie up before Saturday. We will be at the beach (Hyatt Huntingdon Beach) until Tuesday, and then are likely to run into you at some point at the DLH or the parks . . .

I'm not sure, Celestine . . . now that I look back on it I wish that I had just had her send yours along with ours since we will both be at DLH, right? We could have gotten them to you there. At any rate, I'm sure she is on top of it and will have the t's waiting for you at the hotel.
