Invites are already out. RSVPs are actually due to us today! YAY!! 105 and counting.

Announcements are different. They go out the day of the wedding (or the Monday after) to tell people we weren't able to invite to the wedding that we got married! It's basically so all of those great-great aunts & uncles and mom's best friend's uncle's brother that our parents wanted us to invite, but we drew the line and didn't invite, still feel like they are part of the celebration. We got my cousin's announcement 2 months after her wedding! Now that is a little late.

Talking about packing....
I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to get the girls all unpacked from camp on Friday afternoon, wash stuff and repack them to leave bright and early Sunday morning. I'm hoping they can use different suitcases for camp, so I can start packing some stuff ahead of time.

Just pack their clothes in a cardboard box and send them to camp!

My goodness what a chatty bunch!!!! I decided to go watch two movies with John today. Now I am paying for it!!! I really did enjoy Journey to the Center of the Earth. We saw it in 3D and I would think most boys (and my DH) would really enjoy it!!! It was full of action and a must see in the 3D. I also saw Hell Boy 2. I don't think it was as bad as Hancok last week. Not worth a full price admission. Next year eleven 3D pictures will be released. I think this is the trend now!!!

For some reason I am starting to get panicky about the next 5 weeks.
Being on vacation a couple of weeks ago really showed me that my "back-ups" are just not "up-to-speed". I came back to a lot of issues I had to end up taking over. That means that I am going to have to work way more the next 5 weeks to get the particuraly needy clients taken care of so they can last w/ out me for 2 weeks. I normally work part-time so that is out for a while.
I had the idea last night of laying out the outfits for the girls and taking digital pictures of them. That way even though I cannot pack their clothes now, it will make it easier when I do pack. Print out a sheet of the outfits and put them in the suitcase.
My house/animal sitter called and said she will not be here on the day we leave. She is bringing over her friend that will take over for her that day but she was our ride to the airport so now that is gone. We are debating asking a neighbor (who has offered many, many times) or get a Super Shuttle.
I am still working on clothes and the cool door signs may be a "no-go". Also, I have no fish extender.
Is reality hitting anyone else about now?

Get moving. I just realized it is 5 weeks away.

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is doing good today. Least it's Friday. DD and I will be off to the Mid-west Mini meet late this afternoon. Her day camp is going to an indoor water park and they won't get back till 3:30 PM! So much for us getting an early start. But I'm still leave early as I still need to pack! Yeah, I need to get myself together for the TOAL. Can't be packing the night before or I'll be in trouble.

Since I haven't packed yet for this weekend, I really need to get organized. I have a friend and co-worker who is going to take us to the airport, before work. She is going to keep our Jeep "Otis" while we are gone!

Hi All!

Just wanted to quickly post about the Mid-West Mini Meet tomorrow. The current forcast has "Scattered T-storms" through the early afternoon. The percentage chance of precipitation is dropping throughout the day and is gone by 9PM so we should be fine for the fireworks.

As you probably know, the weather around Chicago can be pretty changeable - so we could have a beautiful day with little white puffy clouds or a huge thunderboomer! If we get a thunderboomer for our meet, we'll just move it inside (just don't look too closely at the dust bunnies!

I'm going to be running around all day, so I won't be on the board. But I'll be back tonight (taking a day off work and going shopping with my mom)

It was one of those days where we thought it was going to rain so we saw movies instead!!! Turned out to be a beautiful day and we were inside.

DD wants me to tell you that she thinks you have a very cute doggie.

I am considering packing up some outfits for the kids in the next couple weeks. I use the ziplock packing plan so that they don't get mismatched and we end up with a bunch of items that cannot be coordinated no matter how much we try. LOL! They have enough clothes to wear without those and I do not want to end up doing laundry the day before we leave. This is the first time we have not cruised in December where I just packed as I put the summer clothes away in October, so this is a new experience for us.

Can you come and coordinate my outfits. Maybe I wouuld not have to take 6 suitcases. :

She said thanks Paula.... She is doing a CIT (counselor in training) seesion for GS camp in Leesburg , VA.

It's an OK camp but only about 15 miles south of Frederick so fairly easy to pickup/drop off.

Hopefully she learns a thing or two while away. At least DH and I will get a break.

Tell Devin to have fun!!! She will get a break too!!!

My wife used to think I was OCD for my spreadsheeps for vacations, packing, what we were doing, reservations, etc.

Now with all the other spreadsheepers here...... she is pretty sure I'm just nuts!

Has anyone found some inexpensive magnet paper.. I have to try to make some for our doors but cant find any great deals on them.. ANy help is appreciated.....

I got mine at Walmart..... I need to buy more....

I have had a headache for the past week..don't know if its the heat,sinuses or my wisdom teeth...I really dislikes headaches....

OMG!!!I forgot about ROCKFORD FILES! On the 4th we were sitting around talking about our favorite shows growing up. Mine were Cannon, Police Woman, Mannix, Hart to Hart, oh crud- the one w/ Susan St James and Rock Hudson, and I cannot believe I left off Rockford Files- it was my favorite.

I loved all of those shows!!! My mom made me stop watch Marcus Welby & Medical Center..... So, I had to start watching detective shows instead....

Here is a modest but fully particiapting cabin complete with FE and a bit of door decorating! And may I be the first to confess - MY Cabin door and FE was very very similar to this particular door on this sailing!​

We have this same FE except ours is DIS Green!

I know some nice person who is willing to make name tags!!!

When I can't think of my kids names (that's just sad) I call them Fred and George.......

Of course they know they are in trouble when I call them by the dog's name!

I always used the middle name when my children were in real trouble.

And if it doesn't thaw quick enough, just put it outside on the picnic table in the sun. It'll thaw

My MIL always left her butter out to keep it soft. It was NEVER put in the fridge. Don't know how safe that was!

Ours was always in a covered butter dish,in the kitchen cupboard.

I'll be right there with you. Our flight leaves at 11:40am. Doesn't bother me though. I'm not the type of person that needs to sit at the airport waiting for my flight. I'm fine with getting through security and getting to my gate just when they are boarding.

I ordered mine online from DickBlick.com. It was $6.99 for 5 sheets, which is still cheaper than what I have seen in the stores. The shipping is a little steep but I added other things so it wasn't too bad.


We always ate raw hamburger as kids. Yum with onions and garlic. Wouldn't do it today though. I am still guilty of leaving the meat on the counter in the morning, but my Mom puts it in the fridge once it is mostly thawed. I left a lemon meringue pie out yesterday and you can bet I am still going to eat it.

My sister called me by her daughter's name last night. And when we get together with DH family and everyone is talking it is hard to know if they are talking to Terri, Cary or Gary.

We will so get along! LOL! I didn't order my magnet paper from them BUT, I've ordered plenty of stuff from Dick Blick over the years! LOL!

And I don't care how long a Lemon Meringue pie has been out... I'm eating it! LOL!

Okay, this made me spit tea all over my desk! I wasn't even clever enough to seal my dress up but was convinced a daughter would want it. Well, three boys later it is hanging in DS15s closet and has been since we moved into this house 11 years ago

His comments lately have been "And why do I have to have your wedding dress in my closet?" Guess I should get rid of it at this point

It was horrible last year when we had to come home from London
Next time I go to London I will make the treck to Gatwick instead, Heathrow is not worth the hassles

This was the first time for him out of Heathrow. He has always flown in and out of Gatwick. Now if you want a GREAT International airport...dh will vote Narita. But, I think that is more for AA's Admirals Club there! LOL!
