Ever since you announced that, I have had you on a prayer list!

I think it would fall under the "miracle" department for a bus load of people to go into a store, get what they wanted, and be on their way in 20 minutes.

Even if everyone is relatively fast, the lines at the checkout counter(s) will make the stop long.

I'm hoping for you all . . . but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Oh NO - The entire bus does not go into the store - the kids & one parent stay on te bus and one member of each family goes into the store & buys whatever.
Otherwise its the scenerio as you said!!

With my frequent flier miles, I paid $50 for a 1st class ticket from Chicago O'Hare to LAX on August 13th and then Orlando (MCO) to O'Hare on September 6th. I couldn't believe it!

My goodness what a chatty bunch!!!! I decided to go watch two movies with John today. Now I am paying for it!!! I really did enjoy Journey to the Center of the Earth. We saw it in 3D and I would think most boys (and my DH) would really enjoy it!!! It was full of action and a must see in the 3D. I also saw Hell Boy 2. I don't think it was as bad as Hancok last week. Not worth a full price admission. Next year eleven 3D pictures will be released. I think this is the trend now!!!

We can't wait to see this! When Micahel was young (9 or so?) it was one of his favorite books! I think we are going to wait until Michael & Samantha get home to see it!

Wow...I have not heard that one before! That would be wonderful. I wonder if its a school policy or district or other. Anybody else hear of this before? I will have to call both the schools, since my kids will miss the first few days too!

It is the policy here. That is the reason the girls can go sine school starts here on the 25th.

Todd - what time did you get to the store? I was at my ATT at 3 am and was #9 until 6:30 when family members began showing up - ended up #18. I was done and out the door in 20 minutes - I had no issues...
Ended up with the 16g white!!!

Went to go by the Apple store after work and there was still a huge line of about 100 peeps. I need to get another case.

I am tired too..and I promised DS we would go see WALLe tonight...

got to the store around 2 am .....51st in line

Guess they should have kept some of us around......I don't feel bad for them at all

We did the DCL name tag that Tom makes as well as the Mickey Mouse Pirate, and the Trip Schedule Brooklyn made. All came to us without a hitch.

I might have to get some magnets there for our doors- I've been shot down twice now (bought magnet paper at the dollar store- had to take it back because once I peeled off the backing it wasn't sticky! no way to put any pictures/designs on the magnet paper.... then designed and ordered some on zazzle.com and they cancelled the entire magnet portion of my order! Maybe 3rd time, for me to try, is the charm? )

I wonder if we're gonna be the only ones without banners. Just a question- how do you ATTACH the banner to your verandah? And didn't I read something like a year ago or so about them not wanting people to put banners up anymore? Am I remembering that wrong?

We used to call my DD25 my herd of elephants when she was younger. DH would say "here comes the herd of elephants" when she got home.



I have a spreadsheep too, but it is just the things we need to take. I need to get down to the nitty gritty...how many of what for which day and what still fits and what goes with what. And I have to finish my FE gifts too. And...

My MIL has been known to run through her husband's name, both sons, 3 grandchildren, and sometimes a dog or 2 (usually deceased) before settling on a name to say.

What's really fun is when she get my name and SILs name mixed up...and sometimes throws in the name of BIL's first fiance.

The pitfalls of naming your children with similar sounds or starting with the first letter....... this is how our mother called us:
Shelley/Shanah/Sheila/shirt (the last word said in exasperation with herself and NOT really saying the word shirt.....)

mine are Robert/Rita/Ruby... I do get their names mixed up on the girls and/or go thru the list of names before getting the right one. I have NOT yet included our dog's name Tramp though- but I bet if I did I'd get a funny look from the kids. LOL

I am such a TV person! LOL! For many years (the first 18yrs of our marriage) dh travelled ALOT and the kids were asleep by 8.......

It's more like 12 hours for my kids, but I do have to have everything ready for school too!

OMG I'd totally forgotten I have to have everything ready for school too! They will be missing 6 days of school here and have to go to school the next morning!
yet another thing I forgot about.......

I would love to have an earlier time! We had a 5:15,landing at 9pm,now it's a 7:30 ish,landing at 11pm. Both with layovers in Denver.

But I think her ealrier time was on the day we get OFF the ship- and it's impossible to make an 8:30am flight when on disembarkation day... so she had to change her flights and pay more. That's why I said I hope that doesn't happen to me! I don't like arriving super late either which is why I hope our flight doesn't change even latter to arrive- but i'd rather arrive no matter HOW late than have my flight back home change to a time I can't possibly make and have to change our flights and everything. That would be a major headache and cost I'd rather not pay!

I'm like on page 62 or so.... I can't catch up with y'all! LOL

I thought that was a given but maybe it's only in MY family that my husband would beg off having to go in the store and I certainly would prefer not going into a store with my kids if I can get the choice. LOL
