did you get charged a drop off charge also ?

I found a minivan for $47 at Thrifty, but with drop off charges, taxes and fees it came to 68.37.
There was a code involved, but I don't have it right now-found it on the website for Thrifty.

I don't think I was charged a drop-off fee. My confirmation shows a $58 base rate, $2.43 surcharge (waste tire/battery fee and vehicle license fee) and $3.63 for taxes for a total of $64.06. Your rate with the drop-off fee isn't too bad though if the $68.37 total includes your taxes and fees.

So if I charge it today then it's due with the rest of the trip in like November, right? Or is that a new 6mo no interest?

I'm not sure on this because I charged my tips with the final payment. If charging the tips separate qualifies for the 0% for 6 mo promo, I believe it would be a new 6 mo. Don't know if it would qualify though.

Nope. Shipboard charges are not part of the 0%. :(

Best wishes to you all.

Ever had ones of those days, felt a pain in my shin / calf mussel on Wednesday night, got worse on Thursday so went to my local GP (Doctor) today expecting a strain.

I might have pulled a ligament, and its very painful, but the GP referred me to A&E (Accident and emergency) Hospital and I had to have tests and will be having injections all weekend every 24 hours until Monday. The mussel might have come off part of the bone, and they are worried about the possibility of DVT, so being careful.

Seems I have done a bit more damage than I thought, so feet up all weekend,

I am very glad to hear they are watching it. That was the same symptom DH had when he got his blood clot in his calf. Hospital took his pressure stockings off way too soon so they had to put a filter in his vein. Hope it works out for you.

Mid-West mini meet, here we come! I made my ressies! Cheryl, Pamela, Tracy We are on our way!

I should probably explain about my cc. :confused3 I've got great credit, credit coming out of my ears. The wristband co. made a typo of the exp date and Chase shut down my card! Tink was not happy! (Tink is on my card!) So I had to call Chase and tell them it was me! :rotfl2: But I rather have Chase do that than have someone really mess with my cc!:thumbsup2

Wrong expiration dates will cause you to speak to the fraud dept and boy do they quiz you. We used to be able to remove those but not anymore.

Thanks again for arranging the wrist bands!

I also had my card shut down by Chase (at WDW) for too many "out of area" purchases and I had to call them to let them know I was on vacation and that the charges were okay. I agree, I'd rather be safe but before I leave for the TOAL, I'll be calling them ahead of time to let them know to expect lots of "out of area" charges.

Yes that goes for any card whether credit or debit. Don't forget to notify them before you leave in Aug.Most Credit card companies do have a way to track your purchases and if they see charges coming from out of your regular area they will flag the account til they heard from you. I will post a reminder before the TOAL.

Probably not then...

Ya know, I hate the Disney cc... I've had more probems with them than I care to mention (including them cashing the check, but not crediting it to our account so our account was blocked the day before our monthlong honeymoon in Australia and NZ!) They have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with as far as ccs go. But can't beat 6mo no interest on the cruise!

See my response above cause if you had notified them you were traveling abroad, you also could have checked to see if everything was ok.They also would have referred you to the overseas # to be used collect on the back of your card as well. Clerical ****oos do happen to the best of companies and human error may have caused it to not be credited to the right acct if the check didn't have the account number on it and or got separated from the statement insert .Nothing is perfect in this imperfect world.:(
I won't take the worst customer service remark personally tho as you probably haven't spoken to me.:goodvibes

I was looking into Super Shuttle last night. I'll probably make a ressie with them. Works out to about $14 per person with the discount coupon found on the mousesavers.com site. Beats using the Disneyland Express bus (@$20 per person) and we don't have the wait at DL Hotel while they collect money and I know our Hotel is one of the last stops on their drop off route - Hojo's will be even past ours.

Thanks, that is the next batch of to dos on my list.

Well we are Hep A innoculated. Ouch. Wait was around 40 minutes .

Will go to IKEA later to search out a chair for me and try on some shoes at the Walking Co.

Arlene, if the tips are prepaid before the cruise though, I know when I include them with the final payment they qualify for the 0%, but what if I charge them separate before the cruise so they are not on my shipboard account? The charge appears the same as a payment on the cruise does.

Yup, that was the total after taxes and fees. Only a few dollars difference so not bad.

I hate shopping for transportation/ rental car/ flight stuff.
It helps to know what others are paying early on so I don't waste time searching every website.

we probably don't need a minivan, but I don't feel like smushing everyone into a smaller car with all the luggage we will have.

DC DIS MEET THIS SUNDAY

I talked to Laura (eeyorelover) via email about meeting up this Sunday and she is fine with that.

Last I saw, M, Kristina and Mike were all interested in coming. Any others are more than welcome:goodvibes

Now for a place to meet. I am not an expert on the DC area, so my best suggestion was the Natural History museum at the Mall. It has a decent cafeteria we can have lunch at. Easy access from the metro too.

Also an option is Tyson Corners Mall as that is close to where Laura is. They have plenty of restaurants for lunch too.

Any other suggestions, please let us know:thumbsup2
Also suggestions for meeting times. I'm guessing 11:30 am would be ok ???

Does your $90 quote include insurance? We also need a minivan and found the following code (AWD# K199060) on mousesavers for Avis. This code got us a minivan for $58/day before taxes and insurance. I hope they don't ask for any type of verification to use the code. Mousesavers says it comes from a major Florida tourism organization and can be used by anyone.

Kim

Thanks for the Avis code! :thumbsup2 The $90 from Budget did not include insurance. Although we've had good luck with Budget in the past, I went ahead and switched to Avis using the same code as you to save $30. I don't see anywhere on the confirmation that any type of verification is needed to rent.

You may have the advantage being a TA and including it with the final payment. But if I were to call today and put in on my acct, there is a chance it won't qualify. I think I will try that tho. Need to figure out the cost of the excursions as I really do want them put on before hand. The only thing not paid yet is the hotel and the expenses in LA. Let's see what happens!!!!

Coral,
Have you read Fearless Fourteen yet? I just ordered from my book club and hope to get it next week. I read excepts online and it looks good (but aren't they all).

I have so far resisted. As soon as we get to the airport tomorrow I will start reading it. I bet it will be an easy failry quick read.

I just got confirmation from concierge that in fact the rotations are:

5:30/8:00pm LAPLAPLAPLAPLAP
5:45/8:15pm APLAPLAPLAPLAPL
6:00/8:30pm PLAPLAPLAPLAPLA

This is temporary and subject to change (as usual).

That isn't what I was saying - what I was referring to was the actual repeating of the restaurants that a previous poster was questioning.

Someone was questioning if the restaurants would actually repeat themselves every 3 nights because on the 7nt Mexican sailings they are repeating one restaurant two nights in a row. On the 7nt sailing they said that the rotations went something like this "The 6:15 and 8:15 rotation was LAAPLAP". I was just noting that for the WB cruisers their rotation was repeated every 3 nights and not repeating a restaurant twice in a row

I do understand that the actual order of the restaurant was different on the WB vs the information we were given for the EB

You were in the "know" all along! :thumbsup2

I think I lost track of all the Anniversaries and Birthday so please consider this a group:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!

Didn't mean it personally! I had no idea!

Well I had spoken with them when I did all my other credit cards and they were unable to do it "that" far in advance. Since it was a monthlong trip, I was actually calling again to do it right before we left. The check was cashed on Friday and it was a holiday weekend, we were leaving on Monday. So basicly it was just "Too bad". Good thing that was just our backup card!

Another thing that made me mad recently was they changed the payment address. OK my fault for not checking every month, really, but I noticed that my payments were not getting cashed. I called up and all I got was "Nope we obviously didn't receive anything since it's not posted". Now you would think that I'm not the only one that uses the auto pay through the bank and they would have said "Oh did you check the payment address?" Neither person I talked to when I called asked that...

It's also our highest interest rate card when we're not using the 0% interest :confused3
