3 pounds, that is awesome, way to go!!!!

Thanks Erika - This thread has me really motivated:goodvibes

I've been out this afternoon and I bought a new top as IM going out with friends next week - and I had to buy the next size down - so the day gets better!!

The next two weeks will be tough - as I've got our wedding anniverasy meal, a friends 60th birthday meal and we go away a week on wednesday for Easter.

But I'm booked into tomorrows aqua class:thumbsup2

Just taking one day at a time.
:flower3:

First off, Congratulations on all the losses! Way to go Girls!:cheer2:

I weighed in today at WW and was only down .2

I have been a slug since Thursday, started with a terrible sore throat and turned into a head cold so no walking or kickboxing (or much of anything except lying on the couch).

I know it wasn't food choices, I've been doing well and not eating just to eat (I'm definately an emotional eater: happy, sad, frustrated, celebrating, etc). Concerned with the next few weekends with birthday parties, Easter, Confirmation and a planned dinner out. Will try to indulge a little for just that meal and not let it drag me down the rest of the week.

Sorry to be a downer, must be the weather (it's raining here).

Keep up the good work everyone! 18 weeks until we cruise. :cheer2:

Gina
Total weight loss since January, 17.2 lbs. Had to put that there to remind myself that I am losing...:thumbsup2

I second the congrats on the "losers."

I'm with you, Gina. I can't seem to get my act together. I beginning to think I'm going to have to stop eating completely and move 24/7. :confused3

Woohoo, way to go, guys! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I've said here before that my goal is more to get healthy/get into shape than to lose weight (I honestly don't have much weight to lose), but I decided to weigh in anyway. I'm down about a pound and a half!:yay:

Way to go! :thumbsup2

A loss is a loss. That is great you are still losing. Some days/weeks are better than others. The important thing is to keep going. You can do it. And, congratulations on the 17.2 lbs since January. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the pep talk Marsha!

On a non-scale victory today I tried on some clothes that I haven't worn in while. One skirt still had tags on it that I bought last year a bit snug thinking I'd lose weight last summer and now it fits!

I don't think I was ready to lose the weight last summer, does that sound weird? :confused3 But I am committed now and seeing results. Yes, some weeks smaller losses than others, but I'm sticking with it. Made it to Kickboxing today, maybe that's part of my change in attitude since earlier today.:yay:

Hang in there everyone! We didn't put this weight on overnight, it ain't coming off overnight either (but boy, do I wish!)

I was totally thinking this same thing tonight.

Gina

Sometimes I get frustrated. I was feeling that today which is why I reminded myself about being patient. What a great feeling to be able to comfortably fit into clothing that you have not been able to fit into comfortably for quite some time. I am happy to be down a size.

Congrats on all the losses! Unfortunately I think I found them. :lmao: Gained another pound this week.

Me too, :guilty: that is why I didn't post, I felt the best words are the words that aren't said.
Although I feel my clothes are looser, go figure

Hi all,

Its the weekend here in the UK and I also finished school for Easter (2 week break):cool1::cool1::cool1:

Not sure how i'll fair this week.

I went out for a meal yesterday with friends - a chinese banquet and boy was it yummy.

I've just done a 20 min swim and having pizza for tea - so tempted to have a glass of Rose with it.

Tomorrow morning I'll go for another swim as at night DH and I are going to a japanese to celebrate our wedding anniversay. ( its just like the japanese at epcot where the chef cooks infront of you )

I'll try to have good choices the rest of the day,

Hope you are all hanging in there.

You might have seen my posting on the main cruise thread about me receiveing a parcel on wednesday from a dis friend in the states - ok IM now going to confess it was 2 boxes of Jif smooth peanut butter:scared1: - I love it and your peanut butter tastes so much better than ours.

I was sooo thrilled she thought of me - but now IM SOOOOO TEMPTED

Oh well going to have my tea

Take care
xx

Helen, just have the peanut butter on celery and call it a healthy snack! :thumbsup2

Dont feel guilty or down please. As you tone and shape your body you
get more muscle and I believe muscle weighs heavier.

Sometimes you feel like you have lost in the clothes ( jeans not so
hard to fasten etc) however it dosn't show on the scales.

Dave and I have a money box and if we want to eat some candy we have
to put £1 in the 'disney fund'. So far Dave has put £3 in and I've
resisted the temptation.:littleangel:

Little changes help along the way. I have a mental picture of my
behind getting stuck on aqua duck and that is helping me to resist
things -:lmao:

Its so easier to put on weight than it is to take it off

I'm pleased today as despite having 3 meals out this week - I lost 1
pound on the scales.

Hope you are all ok xxx hang in there:flower3:

Interesting that you do it by if you WANT to eat vs if you do. If that were the case, I'd be oh so poor now, but my disney trip would be lavish. :lmao: Congrats on the weight loss.

I think I've come to terms that this is where my body wants to be and will be. I can;t get my act together. I know what I'm supposed to do, I just don't/can't.

Well, its been really busy, and even though I've had good intentions, it seems that the needle on my scale has NOT moved. I've got to get out and walk more, now that the weather is better.

Congrats to everyone who lost this week. I guess the good news for me is no gain :guilty:

I don't even think I'm going to weigh in today. I haven't been eating well, and I haven't gotten to the gym in over a week. Maybe next week will be better!

Just got back from a few days at the beach and I won't even tell you how bad we ate there. I'll be good tomorrow! :thumbsup2

I've never been on this board, but a few of us 8/16 cruisers are getting excited about our cruise but not the shape our bodies are in, so we want to share our thoughts and support here to each other, we invite anyone to join us.

My plan is...To not eat junk after dinner and to get out and walk! Maybe even buy a workout video for the WII to keep me going and on plan if I don't want to walk alone.

I have the WII fit and really like it. Anyone have a tried and true WII game for keeping in shape?

Joanna

Joanna, thanks for starting this thread! I hibernate during the winter and really need to get out and exercise. I weighed myself yesterday morning, ugghhh, but Tuesdays sound good to me (gives me an extra day before I weigh in again).
I also have wii fit, but my DD's got Just Dance for the Wii - so much fun, and you are really moving. So if you want to dance and exercise its a lot of fun.

Okay, guys, count me in for this!! I need all the help I can get! My goal is 20 pounds lost by cruise time...but I'll settle for just about anything!!!

secret motivation: we met up with some friends from MN (also on our cruise) in WDW for the princess and, OMG, she was wearing a bikini that made her look like a 17 year old. Holy cow.

I'm down 1 pound this week...just need to keep that slow and steady progress....:goodvibes

Down one pound, that is great :cheer2: Hey you didn't gain twenty pounds in one week so you won't lose it. I just got something from weight watchers, I really know my downfall so I didn't want to spend the money and go to WW, but ya know, I just may because I'm not doing what I should be and if I I am accountable each week, maybe I will see some progress.

Jude, Jen is a motivation to me too (I just outed her). In two years she's gone from not running at all to training for the Castaway 5K, losing weight and running marathons. She looks (and sounds) great.

If you keep losing a pound a week you'll be down 16 when the cruise rolls around...

I joined WW in January because I needed to be accountable. If I was paying the money I was going to stick with the program. I didn't check in here last week because I was bummed I had my first gain (knew it was from eating Wendy's the day before and was extremely bloated) but still didn't help with my self esteem. Proud to say that I survived the Easter holiday and lost 2 pounds this week. Yeah me! 18 pounds down...:yay:
