Agree as next years school holiday may clash with my Baltic cruise, and we have had to book that one as the Magic is going back to the Med after it.

Hi all !! :wave2:

While I’ve been working  on my Fe stuff … DGH ( NOT so Grumpy Husband !!) has finished the "opening title" for our vacation DVD. ( He loves to make videotaping during our Summer trips !).

This year his videoclip is composed of four sequences

1) the first sequence is related to the first part of our travel. We have free tickets with Alitalia, the Italian airline; it has been very close to bankrupt, though recently things improved and they could reopen Malpensa airport, which was discontinued since a few months ago. This airport is very convenient to us ... but the airplanes are still in bad shape… :rotfl2: :confused3 AS YOU WILL SEE !! in the clip.

2) We will make a connection stop in New York, catching a Delta flight to reach Orlando : THAT is :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 a REAL PLANE !!!!!!

3) The third sequence takes place at the Animal Kingdom Lodge: we have (for FREE ! ) the classic dining plan, which means that in 11 days we will have 13 table services (i.e. 13 main courses and 13 desserts), 13 quick service meals (13 main courses and 13 desserts as well) and 13 snacks. You will see DGH watching my favourite animal ... while eating eating eating !!!!;):lmao:

4) Eventually on the cruise ... DGH will be able to stuff himself with any kind of food , day and night !!!

To me it's a very nice 3 minutes videoclip ... and I’d like to share it with you !!
If you please, have a look : WDW and CRUISE atmosphere granted !!!

(It's a link to a very private DGH site ... so completely safe) :thumbsup2

Ciao , have fun watching , laura :goodvibes:)

Great video Marco and thanks for posting Laura! We only have 5 nights worth of free dining before the cruise but boy are we going to enjoy it!

We have had a busy day - the children loved their party, I made the birthday cake and it seemed to go down well as did the gluten free one I made for our friends little boy who has coeliac disease. They bounced themselves silly, we had a secret "birthday santa" so each child got a gift to open - we picked out the name of Izzys best friend Maddie from the hat and bought her the Elefun game - the funny thing was when Izzy opened her gift she had been given the same game. The girls thought it was great that they got the same present!

Photos maybe to come tomorrow - I haven't even downloaded them from the camera, let alone edited them.

Darren enjoyed fathers day, as did my Dad. We all live together as last year we sold our house in Colchester (medium sized town around about 1 and a half hours from central London) and my parents sold their house. We all pooled the money from selling houses to buy a bigger house in the countryside. So anyway, I cooked breakfast with Izzy for her Dad and for my my Dad, they both loved their scrambled eggs, toast and bacon!

Anywya, off to be now, school in the morning. I am a little envious of those of you who have finished for the summer but as I only go in one day a week plus a bit of supply teaching (substitute teaching) then I can't complain as there are only four more Mondays that I have to work!

Night night
Mel

I have been looking at your threads and others on the disboards over the last 2 days. I have learned so much. Can't believe how long you guys have been actively anticipating this cruise! (even though we booked in Jan 08).

You inspired me to join disboards and I hope that it's not too late for us to join your group.

This is our first Disney cruise and our first cruise with our DS (age 8).

Congrats to all our teachers here for a successful year!:teacher::cool1: DH just finished up yesterday; he teaches elementary school. I don't know why his district's year went so long.:confused3 But I'm glad he's done - my "honey-do" list is growing!:rotfl:

Lots of summer projects to tackle this year!

I'm glad the kids are out for the summer too - even though we still have a summer full of sports and scouting, it is less hectic when you don't have homework to worry about!;)

Hooray - summer is FINALLY here for us!:goodvibes

Summer isn't here yet for us - last day of school isn't til June 25! Sean and the kids are more than ready for their last days.... :dance3:

Hello Jude! How is it going? I hope that you are surviving your Army training!!! I bet you will be ready to be back home with your kids in a week - how great that they will be off school at that time too!!!:thumbsup2

I actually walked on Saturday night and jogged (a very short bit) today! Going to jog and walk again tomorrow. Don't expect miracles though...the 5K is going to be a slow and steady sort of deal for me even if I now train every day for it!!!:rotfl:

Talk with you soon!

Welcome aboard! I think we are all really getting excited about the cruise now as it is so close. When the thread started it was a good distraction to help pass the time but all of a sudden the cruise is coming around so quickly!

I am sure you will LOVE it onboard with Disney - it really is a magical cruise. i have previously been on a 3 night with my DH but this is our first time taking our girls (age 4 and 19 months) so I am thoroughly looking forward to it!

Yay - Jen is in training! I have been jogging on the Wii Active, I am still planning a slow and steady 5K so at least we won't be alone in the slow and steady category! Glad Ben is back to his old self :)

I REALLY REALLY am off to bed now - it is just after midnight here so need some sleep!

hi! One week down, six more days to go!!! Not that Ft Dix NJ isn't nice (LOLOLOL) but I'd rather be home!!!
I won't be able to attend Kevin's 8th grade moving-up ceremonies :guilty: but will get home the morning of his graduation party. hmmm...this will be his first "coed' party. :scared1: We're having a pool party so there isn't alot for Sean to have to pull together. Hot dogs, burgers and chips and munchies. I should be home by 1100AM and the party starts at 5PM... And then both kids leave the next day for a week at an overnight camp - have to get them up, packed and drive 2 hours to the camp!! The timing isn't the greatest but I didn't know about this Army class when I scheduled (and paid for) camp. But the kids are looking forward to it and that's what matters. They'll have a blast.
After eating all that the ship offers I don't think any of us will be doing anything but 'slow and steady" for the 5K!!! :rotfl2:
have a good night all!

To all my friends who are going to do the 5K on Castaway Cay together...

Okay...I figured when I got Ed's weekly countdown on Friday it was time to really get serious about training! :rotfl: So, this morning I got up early, did pilates and then went jogging/walking (alright, I did have to actually walk a section). Here are my observations:

1. I will probably not talk to any of you while we do the 5K...it took everything I had to keep going and to just breathe!!! :rotfl2:

2. I am training in conditions that we will probably be having at Castaway Cay...it was 71° (at 7:30 AM) with 99% humidity...I really need a shower at this point!

3. I had better use the car today to see how far I went. I think I am getting close to 5K but I want to know for sure and I need to start timing myself. I do NOT want to be under prepared. :confused3

4. Do we know if there are any big hills on the 5K???? I have come to the conclusion this morning that I HATE hills! :lmao:

Hope everyone else who is training is finding success! Remember, we are under 8 weeks!!!

Alright...I am off to the shower and I have a huge list of things to get done today. I will be rewarding myself with visits to the DIS as I work to actually get all of this done in one day!!! :goodvibes
