Hello Everyone! I am working on my "master plan" and need some information to add into it.

How much do you tip for excursions?

Here is what we are doing if that helps...
1. Tortola - All day sail on a catamaran. It includes 2 stops, snorkeling, beach breaks, all drinks and some snacks. It does not include lunch.

2. St. Thomas - Island Tour and Beach Break. It includes a 2 hour tour of St. Thomas and a drop off at the beach.

Do you usually tip a % of the total cost?

Jen,

We usually tip 15 to 20% of the total bill depending on the crew and if the service is really great we will tip more...there are usually several crew members and they will split the total given.

Hosp was some tests on my eyes, the place where I got my glasses said pressure was high but hosp said no its all ok....

Nope... he is running a fever of 100° that doesn't go away and he is not able to hold anything down. Today he had 1/2 a piece of toast and 2 cans of sprite but I do not think any of it really stayed in him.

We will see in the morning...if he is still sick we will be making a visit to the doctor tomorrow. I am hoping there will be some improvement.

We had planned to go to the lake this weekend but those plans are on hold too - we do not want to make the trip with a sick child.

Here's hoping tomorrow is better!

How is Ben ? could he sleep at night ? fever ?
In Italy when one is sick we "treat" him with a light vegetal broth or white rice ( just boiled- no condiments) and natural water without gas ...
Myself ... in that case I eat salami with fresh bread !

Hope dear Ben will be ok soon - and that you can go to the lake ... I know you all were so looking forward to a break !!

PS WE tried to retrieve our ADRs on line ...but the system kept saying some type of ERROR ...

Andrew, glad that it turned out that all was well with your eyes.

Jen, I hope that when you get up this morning Ben will have had a better night and be feeling better. It is no fun for anyone when you have a poorly child.

Laura, I didn't even attempt online ADRs - I booked my pre cruise ones on the phone as soon as the booking window opened and for the post cruise stay I am concentrating on offsite dining apart from Beaches and Cream and that doesn't take ADRs anyway.

So pleased it is Friday. This weekend we have a party on Sunday. We are still very friendly with the group of people we met at antenatal baby classes when we were preparing for Izzy to be born. There are eight of us and all the children are great friends and the Mums are too. On Sunday we have a birthday party for all the children as they turned 4 in the past 2 months. Even though each child had their own parties we have one all together with the 8 Mums, 8 Dads and 8 Children plus the four younger siblings who have since arrived! We have a hall booked with an indoor bouncy castle, party games and food.

I am hoping to finish off my first batch of FE Gifts this weekend too. Then I will move on to idea 2!

Morning Everyone!!!!

We are up early around my house today (except for DD who could still sleep for hours). Sad to say...Ben is still sick. He still has a fever but seems to be doing a little better with keeping some liquids down today.

If he is doing better and eats some food, we might still go to the Lake. Our place is very comfortable and Ben loves it up there. It is also very hot and humid in the cities right now and it might be a bit cooler up north. We will have to see what happens.

Laura - I showed him the fish get well card this morning and it made him laugh! It was sweet of you to send it.

Mel - I hope you have a fabulous group party this weekend! I think that sounds so neat that you have kept in touch with all the people and celebrate the children's birthdays together. Sounds like the first round of your FE gifts went well! Good luck with idea #2!!!!

Yes. I spoke with a CM, they indicated there is a problem with retriving reservations, but they are working on it

I am so excited that it is all getting to be so close - plus having everything paid in full (WDW and cruise) make it feel a lot nicer as well!

Today is the official day that I can pull out the suitcases!!!! Seriously, they are coming out and I will start packing!!!

Jen, sorry that Ben is still sick, hopefully you will make it up to the lake, it sounds like it might be good for him, so long as the journey doesn't make him feel worse. My DH has just come to accept that I am mad when it comes to Disney planning! I know when he sees the suitcases out, he will give me a slight look..but he won't say anything and then HE will get all excited because he knows that means we are one step closer to the trip!!! Maybe we are both crazy!!!

JEN SORRY that dear Ben is still unwell !! Hopefully some "lake therapy" will heal him !! I do hope that you all can go up north !!!

Here weather is HOT and humid - a Florida weather !!!
Our weekend will be just relaxing ; we will be visiting with my MIL : she definitely WANTS to go shopping with me ... because she wishes to buy me SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL FOR THE CRUISE !!!!!!!! Isn't she lovely ?!! Marco will be our "taxi driver" ... but his Mom doesn't want him to come with us ... She always says " HE cannot understand that a woman CANNOT buy the first outfit she tries on !! He has better wait for us in a coffe bar !!!!!!!!!".

MEL Your party sounds wonderful !!!!!! How nice that you and the other Mums and Dads could keep in touch !!! LOVELY !!! it will be such a splendid party for the kids , with plenty of fun and games !!!!
(I'd like to "see" that bounchy castle !!)
