Hi!

We are trying to talk my sister and her husband (and 4 children- DS 11, DD 9, DS 6, DD infant) into joining us on the cruise. Does anyone know if it is allowable to add two of their children to our stateroom and then also add an additional stateroom for 4 to our current reservation?

Also, if that is not a problem- Will it cause confusion if two of the kiddos stay in our stateroom rather than their parents' when it comes to the kids clubs/labs?

Thanks!

Cruise Excursions

Anyone made plans yet, using a private tour company, using DCL, or doing it on your own.

Haven't made any plans yet, other than to pay off the cruise in the next couple of weeks.

I would talk to DCL or your travel agent directly to see what the best option for you is, basically if you have two rooms it doesnt mater how you fill tem.

It doesnt have to be the same as the reservation, so ask them ofr the cheapest option.

Any 'add's however will be at the current price structure and that has increased as this cruise is popular.

Hello Everyone! I am so sad to say that our Tortola Website is down right now!:sad1: I have been struggling with it all day :surfweb: ...only to find out that there are some issues with people who are hosting their sites on Apple's web service (this is what I use). I did speak with the Apple tech department and hope to get it going again really soon.

The site uploads and everything is there but I can't keep it password protected! Yikes!

I will keep on it and hopefully will have it up again really soon.

This means no blog...and now I will probably have to post all my silly thoughts right here on the DIS until it gets fixed! :rotfl:

Later!
Jen
Thank you for your continued hard work on this.

Cruise Excursions

We have our first excursion planned!!! :cool1: We have reserved a private day sail in Tortola! My family, SIL and her kids will spend the day on a catamaran - stopping to swim and snorkel a couple of times - we are so excited! We will be going to the Jost Van **** area, stopping at Little Jost Van **** and sailing on to White Bay. We will be on the boat from about 9 until 4, depending on what we really want. Along with snorkeling equipment, there are swim mats for my DD who does not like snorkeling but wants to be out with us.

Here is the site for who we are using if you want to check it out! http://www.kuralu.com

It is going to cost us $800 (plus taxi and tip) for the 7 of us for the day. It is a bit expensive but I think it will be worth it!

Sound like a great day planned

Jen,
Thanks for the catamarran info! We've been looking for one. Our "problem" is our friend's daughter who turns 4 that day. The Disney excursions are all 5 and up. I'm going to email them to see if they have an age restriction.

Gina,

I have e-mailed every day sail company I could find in St. Thomas and Tortola. If you let me know how many are in your group, I will let you know who you might contact.

The boat we are taking is only taking our group of 7 - I think he only can take 10 - but we booked it as a private sail (although I am not against any small group adding on with us).

Let me know the total number of people you would have on the boat and I will send you information on other boats.

Jen

Jen,
We have 9 in total so we'd be crashing your party big time. There are 4 adults and 5 children ages 2x12, 2x10 and one 3 years and 364 days old (one day shy of 4 when we're in Tortola). I'd really appreciate any contacts for day sails you have for either St. Thomas or Tortola.

Thanks for the help!

Gina,

Yep - that many would not really fit on our boat! :goodvibes Let me look through all my files and I will send you the names and the links of boats that could hold the amount of people that you need.

I think it is a great option for your group. We didn't want to do a Disney excursion because DD doesn't snorkel and this gives her the chance to lay on the floats and experience the day with us.

Look for a PM from me later tonight with the information!

Jen

Gina - I sent you several e-mails about the other boats! Feel free to ask us questions because we learned a lot as we went.

SNOW - NO!!! :scared1:We are under a winter weather warning. Snow and freezing rain for our "spring" break! This is not good!

Website Update - I was chatting with Apple computers for a long time today - still no reason as to why we are having some problems. :surfweb: They are suppose to work on the problem and phone me tomorrow. I might have to do a whole upgrade which means our website could be up and down throughout the week. I apologize to everyone for the problems but hope we have it all resolved ASAP!

Personal Blog on the DIS - Okay...my blog is down and I miss being able to just say how life is going! So you will get it here tonight! :goodvibes While it is my spring break, I am busy with computer issues but trying to get other things done as well. My goal tomorrow is to investigate if I think I could put a kitchen back splash in. How hard can some simple tiling be? I also am going to try to do some much needed cleaning - like above the fridge, in some closets, etc. :rolleyes1 Finally, if Apple cannot solve my web site problem, I am going to go to the store and update all my software. :surfweb:

Hope you are all having a great night!

We contacted our TA and she is going to add them for us! We're so excited. We don't get to see them as often as we would like since they are Indiana and we are in Georgia. The kids are a blast and I am sure they will all have a great time! :cool1:

Yeah! How fun to have the whole crew all together for the cruise! We started out on our own and were thrilled when we could add my sister-in-law and her kids.

Glad it all worked out for all of you!
