Jeff, is she nervous?! A solo is a pretty big deal! Good luck to her. DD's recital is next Saturday, dress rehearsal is next Friday, and pictures are tomorrow. I already signed her up for tap next year. I can't believe she is not even 6 years old and she is finishing her 3rd year of dance.
She IS nervous but trying not to be. She knows the dance. She is doing a jazz solo to "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" - the uptempo version from Lilo and Stitch. It's pretty amazing how she has progressed.
Your daughter sounds like both of mine. They both started dance before age 3, so my oldest (the 9 year old) has 7 years in already and my youngest (age 4) is finishing her 2nd year. The oldest does ballet, baton, tumbling, jazz, hip hop and Hawaiian dance. The youngest ballet, tap, tumbling and Hawaiian. They have such a good teacher. She is really good with the kids but doesn't take herself too seriously. I'm hoping to be able to post video of the solo using Photobucket and if I can, I'll provide the link here. Proud dad and all..

Thanks for your opinion! I needed that!
but did have some fun after the Pens made it 3-2 and they kept showing people in the stands looking stressed, chewing their fingernails, with their hands on their faces. Looked like something right out of a Pittsburgh crowd.
It was not crowded at all- all of the other stuff, all of the rides were walk ons- the longest was for Space Mountain- 10 minutes!! The parade and fireworks were awesome too. Some of the best I have seen. All of the characters are out late, maybe until 11:30. We walked off of Small World at 12:00 on the dot, the clock was chiming- and walked to the right, and Cinderella's coach was there, no line to get pictures with it, it had pumpkins and all. It was really pretty. We walked out of the park about 12:15am.
