It's looking more stable today, Abby! Which is just as well as the traffic chaos was insane yesterday!!! Took all of my little clan one and three quarter hours to get home - that's twice as long as usual...

That's too bad it doesn't seem to be working out. Is there any chance the airfare will drop later? Are you going to hang on to your cruise/WDW ressies until later on just in case airfare gets better?

I'm not sure what to do, TBH. Trouble is, it's a very expensive vacation and when I booked we weren't anticipating such a difficult year in the financial sector!!! Flippin' US banks!!! Seriously, we're just talking too many $$$$$ - I can think of so many other things we should do with the cash. I'm sorry to disappoint the kids but I know it'll cost far less to send them somewhere else on a vacation. So I've pretty much answered my own question and we will cancel. At least I'm getting my Magic fix with you guys...

Just a little update: I went ahead and cancelled the NYE cruise this morning. So many factors were contributing to make the trip feel less than good and I decided enough was enough. I'm really sorry that we're not going meet the fab people I've met on the DISmeet thread but hope I can catch up with them some other way...

Spitzer (D) paid $4,300 to be with a prostitute for a little under 3 hours! He could have had almost 4000 of those rancid McDonalds' Filet Fish sandwiches or cruised Disney for 7 days WITH his spouse in a nice cabin. I don't know WHAT the world is coming to with stuff like this going on. Especially with politicans who present themselves as Mr. Clean. I hate to say this but it's obvious...

Thank you! We just got home a little while ago. He's feeling fine right now, but who wouldn't be with morphin, vicodin, and numbing solution on the 3 incisions. I wish he could feel this fine throughout recovery but the doc said by tonight he's going to be hurting pretty badly.

Hope your DH's first night wasn't too painful, Abby! Fingers crossed he has a comfortable day...

Here in our area we now have the guv of NY involved in this "upscale" sex sting... to go along with the former guv of NJ who was involved in gay sex acts at rest stops on NJ highways.... Karen said it best - "filthy business" = politics!

Good afternoon everyone! Just popping in to see what's going on. It's been kind of slow around here? DH is doing very well. Better than the doctor expected. I think he's going to be bored out of his mind in a couple of weeks though. All we've done is lay around watching movies, and that's out of the norm. But it's nice. Hope you are all having a good day.

I think he's going to be bored out of his mind in a couple of weeks though. All we've done is lay around watching movies, and that's out of the norm. But it's nice. Great news, Abby!!! When my DH had surgery a couple of years ago, he was pretty weak for a couple of days but then got bored pretty quickly and I had to physically restrain him from doing jobs he shouldn't!!! But then he is rather naughty...

Great news, Abby!!! When my DH had surgery a couple of years ago, he was pretty weak for a couple of days but then got bored pretty quickly and I had to physically restrain him from doing jobs he shouldn't!!! But then he is rather naughty...

Thanks! I didn't realize it until today but he has three incisions. I thought there were two. OUCH!!! Tomorrow I go back to work (it's a good thing because I'm running out of things to clean and laundry to do ) but his dad and mom are going to take turns coming over and hanging out with him. So hopefully he'll continue to let everyone else do what needs done.

Good to hear you DH is doing ok, I was out of work for six weeks in 2006 when I was layed up, and yes boredom sets in quickly, The Internet and a stack of DVD's helps the day go by. If I had to depend on broadcast tv or Cable I would have gone nuts.

He isn't in to the computer, so I think it'll just be movies and Sportscenter for him! I would go crazy. I can't sit still long enough to watch an entire movie, let alone watch tv for 6 weeks! He does have an easel, paints, and canvases. This might be a good idea for him to get back in to painting.
