Fun day today here. We worked to completely redo our basement. We have a finished basement (half basement as the garage is on this level) but have NEVER done a good job of organizing it. It generally has been a depository of everything - i mean EVERYTHING we don't need. WE had hoped it would be a playroom for the kids.
Well today, we cleaned out 11 bags of trash, four bags of giveaway, save for the little one kind of stuff. AND we changed the whole focus of the room. It is a long skinny room and we had done a poor job of organizing it as if it was a square room. NOW we have a long skinny organization. The treadmill is next to the slider walkout. The entertainment center backs into that. We have a "tv area" and a "play area' behind it.
It is really astounding how different the space looks. Night and day. Wish we would have taken "before" pics because the "after" is so dramatically different.
Bottom line. I'm exhausted. What a load of work from about 2 to 6 p.m. But what a difference in our worlds. NOW to keep it that way!
DH called. He just got out to his route and he said it's a ghost town. The only person he saw out was a guy riding his snow mobile down the street.
