8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

Can anyone give me some idea what sort of things to get for the FE gifts, pretty please???!!! :goodvibes

I am not participating in this but I thought about it today. I was at Target and I saw the first few aisles that have several cheapie items. There are a lot of different things including a lot of Disney items. Nothing is more than a couple of dollars. Do you have Targets in England? I don't remember any back from when I lived there. That was 14 years ago so I am not sure about now. I know you are coming out early so you will see or be near around 20 Target stores while you are out here! Not all of the items mentioned above are strictly for kids. They have a great variety.

Thank you for the idea about Target. I know the items you are talking about I never thought about that :) :woohoo:

Thanks,
Becky

Some people also bring little thing representative of their hometown/state/country.;) I've seen threads that mention, postcards, magnets, candy, and other treats unique to where they're from, etc.

I was reading some other threads trying to find out about excursions. I came across one about Paradise Village Beach resort. It stated no lockers but when I read the Disney write up it stated there were lockers and you had to pay a deposit to the hotel desk. I also looked up the resort on line IT IS BEAUTIFUL I would suggest looking it up WOW ITS HUGE!

That's a good idea! Thanks!! :thumbsup2 I might get stuff with a London/UK slant then... ;)

We were on page 2! I thought we needed a bump!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Good call - Jeff wouldn't like it if we faded away... :goodvibes

As hard as I try I can't get my head around this FE thing. I know it'll be different once I've participated - I'll be all over it next time around! But this time I'm still confused - how much money should I spend, should I get stuff for kids and adults, should I wrap the gifts... AAAARRRGGGHHH - I know I'm overthinking the issue but I don't want to get it wrong... I need FE therapy!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Howdy all. Karen - wish I could help you on the Fish Extender part. We actually had one on the last cruise but didn't sign up for the exchange because we got it very late. We found candy, (lots of candy) and some cute little things like notepads/pencils for the girls. I have to start thinking about this soon I guess.

We had a great first day at the beach today. Arrived around noon (we stayed in Annapolis, MD last night and so it was only a 2 1/2 hour drive from there). Annapolis, which we've driven thru many times, was beautiful. What an incredibly cute city/college town it is. I want to go back and explore more.

Weather at the beach was perfect (mid 80s sunny and breezy) but the ocean is COLD - it's like the west coast which is odd as usually at this time of year we can go in. I think someone said the temp was 63 degrees. We put our toes in and then adjourned to the pool. I'm sitting on our condo balcony listening to the waves. My favorite time of day at the beach.

Happy Fourth everyone. Tomorrow's my birthday. Yep, I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy. A real live nephew of my uncle sam! :rotfl:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF! ENJOY!:woohoo:

I have been on trips when some people did everyone in the cabin, some did only the kids, and others did a "family" treat. You really cannot get it wrong. Whatever you want to do is great. I have magnets that some families made, my kids have pencils and stickers from last year. Pirate stuff was very popular, and homemade cruise bookmarks are always a favorite. I hope this helps!

How everyone's having a great weekend! :goodvibes

Last night we celebrated 4th of July with a 7 course Gourmet Evening at a wonderful local restaurant - OMG delicious doesn't do it justice and the excellent accompanying wines kept on flowing!!! We enjoyed it so much, we've booked for the next one in September... :lovestruc :cloud9: ;)

Anyway, today is 'picnic lunch on the lawn' day at DS's school! It's his last day until September and I've packed a feast of goodies (mini sausages, sausage rolls, party eggs, cold pizza, chips, fruit) into a large plastic box which fits beautifully in a DVC holdall! :thumbsup2 Catch you later....

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. Today's a bit cloudy and cool with a few rain showers sprinkled in but we've done a lot of walking - to the boardwalk, to lunch, the girls are having their nails done at the salon now and I"m back on the balcony. We will likely hit the pool after they return for a bit. Hopefully tomorrow we'll be back to sunshine since it's our last day. Don't mind the break today after 2 blazing hot days but ready for it to return tomorrow.

Wow are we getting close to our cruise. I realized this morning that it's just a month from Monday that I leave for California! :cool1:

Hope everyone had a good and safe 4th. Happy belated Birthday. And only 36 more days!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:
