8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

I found a picture of my DD's hair, so you can have some kind of idea. If they do this on the ship, I am staying on the ship!

Ayumi, that is absolutely adorable! Makes me wish I had a daughter instead of only boys!

Hi Michelle
We go to Disneyland about 10-12 times a year, and we always stay at the Residence Inn where there is a full kitchen and free breakfast..........but I will tell you RIGHT in front of Disneyland where we all walk from.......(it's closer to the gate then the Disneyland hotel through Downtown Disney just the opposite way) is an IHOP with all their great breakfasts deals especially for kids. We also eat in downtown Disney at the cafe Orleans, because they make fresh hot beignets all day long...........and the bakery on mainstreet is always a favorite in the morning. When I have stayed at the Disneyland hotel I do not recall a fridge, but that does not mean they do not have them.

They do not have refillable mugs..BUT they do have free coffee once you buy a cup if you keep your receipt..you are suppossed to keep your cup too, but I have never had a problem just showing my receipt. If you buy a cup of soda you are allowed to go to the soda fountain and refill it free prior to leaving the restaurant.

If you have any other questions, please let me know and I will try to help!
Debbi

OMG they have beignets at DD. Breakfast problem solved for me. (do they also have authentic New Orleans Cafe Au Lait?

Congrats on the docs.:cool1: :cool1:

Thank you for the name tags they are great I have them all printed and ready to go:woohoo:

Have a couple more magnets to do, waiting on my order from Oriental Trading company for the FE gifts, Recieved my FE and I need to start packing I hope I don't have to pay the extra fees for luggage.:confused3 See you all real soon 17 days   :scared1:

Yes they do!!! I love the place and the coffee. Fresh, hot, beignets with lots of powder sugar. In downtown Disney close to House of Blues not a far walk at all from any of the DL hotels. :dance3:

Ayumi, I love your daughter's hair - it is so cute!

Jeff, I can't believe how long it took you to get your documents. Were they coming from a TA? I would have been beside myself if I had to wait this long!

Debbie, Thanks for all of the great tips. I think IHOP is more within our budget. I saw the beignets mentioned on the menu's on allears.net. They sound delicious. Hey - what's a few more calories after a 7 day cruise - Right:thumbsup2 That's a great tip about the coffee too - we definately need a couple cups to get going in the morning around here.

Michelle - Yes they were coming from a TA. And she emailed me earlier in the week to say they had arrived and she would take a look at them and then send along...so I wasn't worried...yet! Girl scout camp is FINALLY over so I'm going to get Lizzie to send a note to Sami tomorrow or Saturday.

Thanks! That looks great! It looks similar to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in WDW!:goodvibes
There's also a place in DTD called Club Libby Lu that does hairstyling/dressup/makeovers for girls. I don't have any girls, so I can't speak specifically to what they offer but I know they're there. :thumbsup2

Just when I think I'm done buying stuff for this trip, I fiound a pillow case for autographs on Ebay!LOL:sad2: My DH still doesn't "get" all of this stuff. He can't understand why we need all of this "stuff" to go on a cruise vacation. (Think a zillion door magnets and now personalized pillowcases)

I can't believe we are getting close to the 2 week countdown.:cool1:

Plus, I took a class this summer and it is officially DONE! I turned in my final and now I am REALLY free to work on this vacation!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Now, for my question to all of you. What do you use that is really good for sunburns? I took the kids to the beach yesterday and made to sure to reapply sunscreen often to the KIDS! So, guess who is sunburned! I put aloe vera on but it isn't helpning much. I figure I have time to buy something really good so I can use it on the cruise WHEN DH gets sunburned.(Think Irish with blue eyes);)

Thanks!

Ok, I need help. How is everyone printing out their name tags? The only way I can get a clear pic is if I print them out individually. I don't have that much magnetic paper left so I want to find a way to print them all on one clearly or 2 on page.

Can someone help me?

Thanks!

I understand! :thumbsup2 I bought Tinkerbell pillowcases for autographs. My daughter's room is not Disney (mine is) but the purple and green in the Tink pillowcases matches so great! Are you taking your own markers??? I read that soem people do... and some don't. I did buy some permanant markers.
As for sunburn... the old Aloe is all I know... My husband lathers up in the stuff after being in the sun. He is also Irish... blue eyes!

Hi Andria,

I am making a quick stop here, then I have to be gone.
Put a lot of Aloe gel(you can get them at Target. More natural the better) all over. If you can put the bottle in the fridge before, it feels even better.

When I went to this deserted island in Japan with my best friend about 19 years ago, we went to burn ourselves all day long for three straight day. Forth day, we could not move. We were completely toasted. My friend's relatives were living there and she told us to just take the wild grown Aloe plants, and open them and place them on our skin. It really worked and in the afternoon, we had sun"screen"s on and off went to the beach again.

Nature works the best, I guess.

If you can go to Whole Foods, they have more natural Aloe Vera gel and cheaper.

As for the name tags, I can make them a bit smaller and try to fit them on one page. Or you can just use magnet strips and so you don't waste your mag sheet.

Hope things work!

Ayumi, I love your daughter's hair - it is so cute!

Thanks, Michelle  .
They really did beautiful job in just a matter of ... say 15 minutes?

I will be dancing tonight for the important people who finally got THE DOCs.

Ayumi

Ayumi, that is absolutely adorable! Makes me wish I had a daughter instead of only boys!

Thanks, Susan  .

But you know, those moms who have boys are so special and I am envy because you get to be THE princess of the family. I was thinking and notices, at least 6 of my close friends have two boys. They, the moms, are all amazingly tough, but yet they are treated as a princess of the house.

At my house, we have to share the princessness between DD & myself.

Maybe you can try. I don't mind getting my hair done like Gazelle in the movie Enchanted.

one for you, princess: and one for me princess:

I tried to do a cut and paste for Brianna's tag, but I am having no luck......actually I have NO IDEA what I am doing :confused3 ....if you get a minute can you make a tag for BRIANNA, Brentwood CA?

Also do you mind if I use your map/calendar to make t-shirts?

Thanks Debbi
