I haven't done any tours in LA, but I have taken a Grayline tour in Boston. It was a nice tour.
Grayline is a reputable company that I believe has been around for many years.

I have been reading some of the trip reports and the Best of Mazatlan is not getting very good reviews....Has anyone booked this? Are you thinking of changing it?? Now I dont know what to do?:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

We are in the exact same boat (no pun intended). I think we are going to cancel it and my wife and the girls are going to stay on the ship while I may try to do the zipline tour.

I'm wondering, too. From the reviews, it sounds pretty worthless. One of the trip reports raved about Mazatlan Frank's (non-Disney) excursion; it seemed more comprehensive than the Best of Mazatlan. I may look into that, if it's not too late. I'm not sure if that's toddler-friendly, though, which is a concern for us. Ugh - sooooo frustrating! :confused3

Apologies for being absent for awhile. I'm trying hard to get my work out of the way before the trip. I freaked out when I saw everyone had gotten their documents, but I can finally do the dance.:dance3: Can't wait we're on deck 5.

In Mazatlan, we are doing Stone Island on our own. I have a 3 year old. We are also going with a few other families we know from the ship. Many of us have kids 5 and under. I know it is hard to find things to do with kids under 5. My DS can go on many excursions but my DD can't. It doesn't seem fair. Oh well! I know we will have a great time. :) If you want to venture out to Stone Island, we will be there!

That sounds like a really good alternative. We might do that instead, and maybe explore some of Mazatlan on our own rather than on a tour, too. DH and I used to do a lot of "non-tour" traveling, and loved exploring new places, but we are a little leery of doing that with young children! :scared1: Are you getting to Stone Island by bus or taxi and then water taxi, or are you doing one of the non-DCL packages?

After researching it, we have decided to do it on our own. Even if we booked a tour, it would have been under $100 for all 4 of us. We are going to take a water taxi on our own. I hear that it is pretty simple to do. I have gone back and forth for about a week before deciding to go on our own. There are lots of tours you could take as well. If that makes you more comfortable, you could look into that. They all seemed to be about the same price. WE didn't need all of the extras that were offered. We just want to eat some shrimp, drink some beers and let the kids play on the beach. Most of the reviews I have seen are very positive. Join us if you wish. We are going with ten other people. You might be more comfortable if you know you are going all alone.:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping that you can help me out with some Disneyland questions. Do they have refillable mugs here like at WDW? Also, what do you usually do for breakfast if you are staying on property? Everything seems so expensive - at one place it was over $6 just for cereal and fruit:scared1: . We usually just eat breakfast in our room at WDW. We are DVC and have all of the right equipment for that when we are there. What does everyone else do? Thanks!

Hi Michelle! Lizzie keeps saying she needs to send Sami a note but this week she has girl scout camp. It's been one thing after another! Maybe I'll catch her awake on the weekend and we can have her send something!

I don't know your answer above as we have always stayed offsite at DL (Huntington Beach or Dana Point). Thus I haven't a clue about what to do for breakfast...so whatever you learn, I'll learn too.

We have Disneyland AP and I just stayed there in January for two nights. We ate at Goofy's Kitchen one morning and bought cereal for the kids and a cup of coffee at a little coffee place downstairs at the Disneyland Hotel. I have no idea what I paid but I don't think it was $6. Tip: Only buy one little milk for two people. I bought one for each of us and coffee and we didn't use all of the milk. They also had donuts and muffins I think. It was a very small place but it has a couple of small tables outside.

We usually eat over by Buzz Lightyear when we visit DL. A breakfast is around 7.99 but you get a drink with it. We get 3 breakfasts and just share(Our kids don't realize it!). They also have a really good yogurt parfait there if you want to go a little cheaper and lighter.

I am not sure where you are staying. I am happy to help. Disneyland is actually one thing I do know about!;)

Hi Jeff:wave2: Sam is a Girl Scout Camp this week too. Today she came home with some one else backpack - :sad2:. They have the same LL Bean one. Luckily we had our phone number in it and the mom just called me to let me know that she had it - whew! I was not going to be happy if I had to purchase another pair of water shoes!

Thanks for your help! Do they sell milk & oj in the gift shops like at WDW? Could we buy the 1/2 gallon size or should I order from Albertson's and have it delivered? Is the refrigerator in the rooms big enough to hold the 1/2 gallon size containers? I figured that I could pack cereal for the morning. How about the refillable mugs? Do you remember if they have these available? We will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

I booked the Best of Maztlan before I read the reviews. I tried to take it off but it doesn't look like they let me. I am not sure what I will do now - try at the port, on the ship or just go!

I went in earlier and booked the beach escape instead and it let me do that...I am hoping that at least will be good!

I do not recall seeing the 1/2 gallon containers or oj in the gift shops. I don't think my room even had a fridge although I wasn't looking for one. :confused3 I grew up with DL but I have been to WDW 4 times and we are also DVC members. It is very different here at DL. Are you driving? If you are, there are several convenience and grocery stores in the area. If you get an ice chest, you could stock that.

Let me know if you have other questions!:thumbsup2
