7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

A very Happy Belated Thanksgiving to Kelly.

Our Thanksgiving was fun, and I didn't have to cook this year..which is a good thing as my oven bit the dust a few months ago..and we haven't had the money to replace it. We went to My DS's and DDIL's house...
I, like everyone I'm sure, ate way to much.
Then I worked on Friday. I replaced a friend who wanted to do the black friday thing.

Now the DGKs are here...and we are playing rockband!:rockband:Beatles edition!:goodvibes
Sooo fun.:thumbsup2

Wow, Not long now, Mandy!
I'll go see your PTR , when I get a chance...

Hey Robin,
I hate shopping at this time of year...everyone gets crazy..and its always sooo crowded..:sad2:

I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weekend..Its a little cold here, but the suns out..So its not so bad.

Oh yeah....
We changed back to the POFQ, Just couldn't justify the extra $200.00 for the pirate room, and that's all we could get at CB...It's a bit of a bummer. I was kind of looking forward to staying at a new(to us) resort , but I like POFQ...and that 200.00 can go to a few extra's....or even just that much less I have to worry about saving.

Oh and Thank you Mandy for my very first Christmas card of the season!
It was a nice surprise..

I'm not sure how much decorating we will get done this year for Christmas, as I am the one who does it, and I have so many things I need to do when I'm not working.
The tree WILL go up...but the outside, and the bigger things may have to slide this year.:confused3

Tomorrow Mike is going hunting with my DS Mike, and the DGS's. I'm not a fan, but the freezer will get full, so I'm not complaining. P&P for a safe day Please.

Have a good evening ladies.:wave2:

Good Morning Dancing Queens

Where has the weekend gone ? It's just flown by. I hope you all had a good one

Betsy ~ It sounds like you had a lovely Thanksgiving Day, and how nice that you didn't have to cook either. I hope Mike, your DS and DGS's stay safe while they are out hunting, I would worry too. Glad you got my Christmas card :santa:

Robin ~ Thankyou for your Christmas card which arrived Saturday, it's my first one too :santa:

Kelly ~ Hi

Paul & I had a lovely time in Manchester over the weekend. We did a little shopping, had a delish Chinese meal and some very nice cocktails too :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Have a lovely day girls :)

Hi ladies.

The sun is shining quite nicely this morning but it is cold outside :cold::cold:

Mandy, I'm glad that you got my card.

Alex is still here. He's got lots of plans with his friends for his remaining time at home. I think he will be heading back on Thursday morning sometime.

I've got a week of my usual things to do plus I need to finish up my Christmas shopping and take the cat to the vet.

We are having Christmas here at my mom's on December 18 and at our house on December 19. Alex has to work Christmas and New Year, so that weekend is the only time he is available to come home.

It doesn't matter so much to me when we do all that stuff. It's just nice to be able to get together.

Mandy, did you see the prices of the Mediterranean Cruises for April and May. $999 a person for Category 12's. You wouldn't have the huge flight costs to get there that we have from here.

Well, I'm off to start the day.

I finally took a few pictures of my bedrooms that I painted a couple months ago.

The first set is Alex's old room. The colour of this room is very strange. It seems to change from a dark terracotta colour to a fairly bright pink colour depending on the light:confused3 I'm not sure that I'm in love with it but it is what it is and I'm not about to paint it again.

The picture is one that I've admired at Disney the past few years. I finally bought it when I was there in October.:thumbsup2 It has a sand pail for each of the parks and also DCL:love:

This room still needs some suitable bedside tables but I haven't found anything I like yet.

I love the bed and it is so very comfortable. It's great. It is a queen size though and the room is tiny, so it tends to dominate the room but that's okay with me.

I am quite satisfied with the way these two rooms turned out. Now the rest of the house looks like it could use some updating.:)

Good Morning Dancing Queens

Wow, I can't believe it's the weekend again, this week has flown by

Are you doing anything nice this weekend. Paul & I haven't got anything planned, which is fine by me as we've had a couple of busy ones lately. Kerry has gone away for a long weekend, I dropped her at college yesterday, and she is due home on Monday. The kids didn't know where they were going, they were just told it was about 3 hours away. Well I got a phone call yesterday afternoon, and they're staying in a Youth Hostel in Whitby, which is by the sea. They are making films this weekend, and apparantly the place is lovely and quite inspiring

I think Becky will be off into town today to see the Christmas lights being switched on, and tomorrow I think the 3 of us will go out for Sunday lunch at an Italian restaurant that has recently opened

Robin ~ you've done a great job on both of the bedrooms :thumbsup2 I love the picture with the Disney sand pails too ::yes::

Have a great weekend girls, take care :)

Good morning Mandy.

I don't have a lot planned for the weekend although Liz will be home sometime today and going back on Monday afternoon.

Last night we went out to dinner for a Christmas party with Rick's airplane club.

There was a record turnout this year and it was very nice.

I had chicken parmesian with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. It was very tasty.

I'm trying very hard to behave myself lately with my eating but last night definitely wasn't a low calorie meal with all that melted cheese :faint:

Oh well, back to it again today.

Enjoy your quiet weekend. :santa:

I am waiting, not so patiently to get our cabin assignment for our cruise at the end of January. We have booked a GTY CAT 12 and hopefully will get lucky and get a bit of an upgrade. If not then I will still be happy just to be there. But it's always exciting waiting to see what cabin you are getting.

Good morning ladies. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

The most exciting news from my weekend is that Alex and Stephanie have found themselves a house.

They have put in an offer and it's been accepted conditional on a house inspection which is being done today.

It is out in the country and has a huge piece of property with it.

I hope they like being country folk;)

The bottom level is totally unfinished so they can do what they want with it.

Here is a link if you are interested in having a look.

Hello everyone!
Wow its good to see all the posters!:cool1:

I am doing a flyby today, as I have to be at work soon.

Love the pictures!, and The house looks very nice:thumbsup2. I can attest that mowing a large yard is time consuming. Although I have to admit I really enjoy it..Just put on the headphones, crank up my MP3 player, and mow away..Its a great way to get an all around tan too!;)

Well I'm off to get ready....
:wizard: To all for a great day!

Good Morning Dancing Queens

I'm feeling rather festive today, as I'm going out for a Christmas meal with a couple of friends tonight. I haven't seen them for a year, so I am really looking forward to seeing them, having a good laugh and a delish traditional Christmas meal :santa:

Robin ~ Alex's house looks lovely, when are they hoping to move in ? I'm so pleased that the Airplane Club Christmas party went well

Betsy ~ I hope you're still enjoying your job

Kelly ~ Where are you ? We miss you

Have a great day girls :)

Mandy, enjoy your meal out and the company of your friends.

What is a traditional Christmas meal for you?

Alex is supposed to move in the end of March. Let's hope the snow is mainly gone by then.

I too am going out to dinner tonight.

I'm driving to meet Liz and we are going out to a Chinese Buffet meal. This is generally very good and there is a lot to choose from.

Then we are going to see So You Think You Can Dance, the road tour.:thumbsup2

We have been looking forward to going but the weather is not the most pleasant today. It is rainy/snowy.

But we will make the best of it and have a fun evening out.

Too bad it means about 2 1/2 hours of driving time for me, but I'm okay with that.

Have a great day everyone.

Hey gals!!!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week and is looking forward to some rest this weekend!!

I'm waiting patiently for life to slow down a little... seems like we are hoping from one thing to the next! I miss you guys terribly, I haven't been on my fb in a month. I got fussed at by a friend asking why I hadn't replied yet :upsidedow

Another busy weekend... 3 soccer games tonight, company Christmas dinner tomorrow night, and another soccer game Sunday night. Where is the smilie for pulling out your hair!!!!! :rotfl2:

Sending my love to you all!!! Take care! :grouphug:

Hey look, I finally got my Cruisin frame filled with cruising pictures:thumbsup2

Good Morning Dancing Queens

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend. We are having a very quiet one. Thankfully all our Christmas shopping is done, so we don't have to battle around the shops

I had a lovely meal with my friends the other day, we had such a laugh. We had a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and it was delicious

Kelly ~ It's great to hear from you, I hope you are all keeping well. Enjoy your busy weekend. I hope your works meal went well :thumbsup2

Robin ~ I love your 'Cruisin' frame, it looks great. I hope you enjoyed your Chinese meal and the So You Can Dance show

Betsy ~ Thank you for your Christmas card, it's so cute

Well it's just gone 9am here. I've got to get Kerry up for work soon, and Becky wants to pop to town to buy some clothes ~ so enjoy the rest of the weekend girls :)

Good weekend to you too Mandy.

We are having a fairly wet weekend.

The Chinese meal was very nice and the dance show was pretty awesome. We both really enjoyed it a lot.

Today we are having dinner with friends at their house.

I've been working lately on decluttering the basement.

I've got to go out and get more wrapping paper since I ran out last night. I only have a very few things left to wrap. Can I use birthday paper:confused3:lmao:

Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

I dont think I have used birthday paper for christmas presents, but I am always using Christmas paper for birthday presents!:rotfl:

Good Morning Dancing Queens

I hope you're all keeping well. Are you all set for Christmas now ? Thankfully we are, and I just need to get my grocery shopping on Tuesday

What are you up to this weekend ? Tonight Paul, me and a couple of friends have got an evening out. We're having a meal, then going to a Christmas show then staying over in a nearby hotel. It should be a good laugh, it has been in previous years

No doubt tomorrow will be spent recovering, though I really need to get on with some packing ~ I can't believe that this time next week, Christmas will be over and we'll be heading to the airport and on our way to Disney World :yay:

Have a great weekend girls :thumbsup2
