7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

Okay finally some pictures from my Florida vacation.

These are all taken at the Gaylord Palms. It is a big fancy resort that we've seen the outside of lots of times and always wanted to go in and have a look. We finally took the time to do that. It has a huge dome roof that is really interesting.

Turns out that Ann and Tom are spending Christmas at the Gaylor Palms, which we did not know when we were there looking around. I'm sure they will have a great time there. We went to a Mediterranean Buffet for lunch and it was delicious:thumbsup2

These are all inside pictures at the Gaylor Palms. There is a restaurant on the deck of this ship.

There were lots of fall decorations around when we were there.

After our tour of the Gaylord Palms we went to the home of our travelling companions friend, Bob.

He lives in Orland and this is his cute dog, Cosmo.

Then Rick and I were off to MNSSHP. Where I did not take any pictures at all. But here is a picture of all of the loot that we collected. The bowl that the candy is in is huge. The smaller bowl beside it is actually quite large. If you filled it with cereal in the morning you'd have a pretty big bowl of cereal.

On to our meeting with Ann and Tom.

We both did a bit of driving and met in the middle, Daytona for some lunch and some fun at the go kart track.

We had a nice looooooong lunch at Ruby Tuesday's with much talking and catching up and laughing. We always enjoy getting together with those two:goodvibes

Then we headed over to the track.

Ann couldn't wait to get to the arcade to play the skeet ball game and that's the first thing that we did. We had a great time and ended up with a fist full of tickets that we traded in for some little trinket toys.

The one and only picture taken of me the whole vacation. I hope you enjoy it :woohoo:

IMG_5052.jpg

Now off to the karts we go. We had a great time although it seemed that no matter which track we were on and which kart I was driving..... I could never get one that had any speed to it. :headache:

Some karting pictures for you:

Rick and Ann decided that they were going to battle it out with the nitro cars. Here is a picture of Ann telling Rick that he was going DOWN :lmao:

And she was right ;)

On our last day in Florida we went canoeing with our travelling companions, Cliff and Val, at Wekiva State Park.

It was beautiful. The water was so clean and clear and we saw a lot of wildlife along the way.

I would recommend taking the time to do some canoeing for something different. We would do it again.

Hey Girls

I hope you're all having a great weekend :)

Yesterday Paul & I went down to London to watch the England Rugby team play Argentina, then in the evening we stopped off in a town called Kenilworth and had a delish Chinese meal, and we stayed overnight at a little hotel

The girls had a quiet weekend, but they didn't mind as they're off to see the Jonas Brothers on Tuesday evening .. they are soooooo excited :yay::yay:

Robin ~ Your photos are brilliant. It looks like you had a great time, and you looked like you were having lots of fun with Ann & Tom too

Betsy ~ Have a lovely day with your grandkids

Kelly ~ I hope you're all having a nice weekend too :thumbsup2

 We are just getting back from our weekend of visiting with Alex.

Alex and Steph are looking for a house to buy, so we did some house looking while we were there.

It was great fun but also very tiring. :faint:

Hi Girls

I hope you're all having a great day

I wasn't allowed to tell you this before, but Kerry won a competition to meet the Jonas Brothers before their concert last night. She didn't want me to say anything until it actually happened

Well, the girls had a fab time, and Kerry loved meeting the boys. She wasn't allowed to take any photos, but an official photographer took one and it was on their fan website

Here's the pic

Enjoy the rest of the day girls :)

That's a memory she will have forever!.. ::yes::
Pass along my Congrats!:thumbsup2

:yay: Yay, It's nearly the weekend !! 5 Weeks till Christmas !! and New Moon Day :yay::yay:

Thanks girls, it is a lovely photo and I don't think Kerry will ever forget the day she met the Jonas Brothers

Are you doing anything nice this weekend ?

We've got a quiet one. This afternoon I'm going to see New Moon with Becky and her friend, then hopefully Paul and I will go to see 2012 over the weekend too

Have a lovely weekend girls, have fun :thumbsup2

No exciting plans for us this weekend, at least so far not.

Liz might be coming home tonight and staying until tomorrow but that's about it.

The weather looks like it will be halfway decent, so that is a bonus.

Maybe we will just wait and see what happens.

Enjoy your busy not-busy weekend Mandy.

Good Morning DWDQ's

I hope you've had a lovely weekend :thumbsup2

I've had a busy one. I saw New Moon on Friday and yesterday Paul & I went to see 2012, both movies were really good. We also had Paul's dad round for Sunday dinner and Paul got all my Christmas decorations out of the attic ready for me to put my tree up on Wednesday :santa:

Did you do anything nice ? I hope so

Have a lovely day girls :)

Good morning Mandy.

Sounds like you had a busy lovely weekend.

I spent most of the weekend hanging out with Liz.

We did go out for a bit of shopping but other than that, not much exciting was happening around here.

Today looks to be a beautiful day in the making.

I'm going to try and get some things done.

You have a wonderful day today.

Try not to drool over those Christmas ornaments too much, okay :rotfl:

Well I just managed to kill my garage door.:sad2:

I've been nursing it along for the past year or so but today it finally decided that it had enough.

The top two panels have totally buckled up and it won't close :guilty:

Guess it's time for a new door.

Now you know what I'm doing today.... waiting for the garage door guy.

Morning Mandy.

The garage door guy came yesterday.

We need a new door, which I knew anyway.

He's supposed to call me with a price. He called back yesterday but I was not at home.

The only catch is it will be at least 6 weeks before it can be installed because they are very busy right now:confused3

That's okay because we don't park any cars in the garage and don't use the door on a regular basis.

He did manage to close the door up again for me and make it secure.

So I really don't care how long it takes to fix it. Gives me time to get the money in place for a new one.

And also to move some of the stuff out of the way so that they CAN fix it.

We use it mainly for storage but it's mainly recycling bins and empty boxes. Shouldn't take much to clean out. It's a job I've been putting off and it needs doing anyway.

Robin, loved the pics you posted! What a neat place! Those little alligators are cute, it's just a shame they grow up! ;)

Mandy, Carolin saw this pic and yelled "Oh my gosh, it's Kerry! I'm so jealous!" :rotfl: What a lucky girl! Tell her how happy we are for her!

Betsy, hope you are doing well!! :goodvibes

I hate that I'm not on here as much... can't figure out where the time is going :confused3 I'm sure you all are getting ready for your holidays! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Miss you all!! :grouphug:

Hey Mandy did you get all your Christmas decorating done yet?

Any pictures to share with us this year?

Betsy, where are you hiding out these days?

Haven't seen you around in quite awhile.

Kelly, sounds like you have a very busy life at the moment.

Mine, is busy but not busy :confused3

Alex is home right now but he won't be here very long. He has lots of things he wants to do while he is down this way, including hanging out with his friends.

One of his friends is getting married and they are having some sort of bachelor party this weekend. Actually it seems like they are having a bachelor WEEKEND :rotfl:

Hope all is well with everyone. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Dancing Queen's

I can't believe it's Friday again, this week has flown by :thumbsup2

I hope my dear Amerian friends had a lovely Thanksgiving, what did you get up to ?

Yes Robin, I have done all my decorating for Christmas, and there's a few photos on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2037775&id=1503996605 I can't believe that it's only 4 weeks till Christmas Day, so that means 4 weeks till me, Paul & Becky head to WDW (woohoo !!), so 5 weeks till Kerry comes out with her friend :)

Are you doing anything nice this weekend ? Paul & I are heading to Manchester for a bit of shopping, lots of TGI Friday cocktails and a nice meal in the evening

Have a great weekend girls, and Robin, enjoy having Alex home for a little while ::yes::

Nothing real special happening around here this weekend.

Went out for lunch and a bit of shopping with my mom.

Too many people in the stores for my liking;)

No plans for the rest of the weekend, either.:confused3
