Okay now for a bit about our vacation. I have pictures but will have to post them later.
Liz did eventually get home and we made it to our hotel in Detroit just fine although fairly late.
The next morning it was up and off to the airport. The flight was uneventful and we arrived about 10 ish.
I didn't know ahead of time that Thrifty Car Rental is no longer off site, so we were looking for the shuttle which does not exist anymore
Once we figured it out, we got our lovely little blue Dodge Caliber and we were off to the Florida Mall to pass some time.
We had lunch and got our shopping done and headed to our timeshare villa.
It was very nice and the people there were friendly.
The next morning we were heading off to enjoy the parks....... well, that's what we had planned to do. Did not happen.
Liz had had a cold during her first few weeks at camp and thought it was turning into bronchitis which happens regularly for her. So she was coughing a bit.
That morning she got up and started to cough and then couldn't breathe
She was gasping and wheezing, very scary stuff.
She used her puffer that she fortunately had with her........ used 10 puffs which is not good.
I seriously thought about calling an ambulance but decided to drive her to the Celebration Hospital about 5 minutes away.
She received very good care there, bloodwork, iv fluids, chest xrays, etc and eventually they did diagnose her with bronchitis although I think the triage nurse thought she had the "swine flu". She was tested for that and she did not test positive.
Unfortunately though she has been exposed because kids at camp have had it.
So after all that excitement she was very tired and not her normal self for the rest of the week. She tired real easy and we had to take things very slowly.
So with that, the extreme heat and the crowds it was not the most ideal of vacations.
I have never seen so many tour groups at Disney at one time before. Seemed like thousands of them
I will post the few pictures that I did manage to take later.
Going to spend some time with my Mom this afternoon.
