7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

My dad says that someone hit him but of course he doesn't know who it was.:confused3

The problem with the Alzheimer people and he lives on a floor that is only Alzheimer patients is that they forget so quickly.

The staff have been keeping watch on my dad and the man who shares his bathroom but they say they haven't shown any signs of not getting along together.

They sit together on the same sofa, greet each other in the hallways:confused:

Of course, they probably don't remember IF the incident even happened.

So sad, that sort of life they live.

That's why I'm living for now.

Somebody says vacation??? And I'm there:laughing:

And yes the truck will fit 6 people in it.

Might be a bit squishy in the front between the two men but that's okay if it gets you to Florida:crowded:

I'm with you Robin - I love my holidays, and can't think of anything better than being away with my girls (and Paul of course - LOL) and making more special memories.

I love my parents dearly, but they drive me insane :rotfl2: they haven't been on holiday for years (though my dad occassionally pops back to Ireland to meet up with some friends). A few years ago they went to New York for 10 days, and they loved it, but they never plan to go back there or anywhere else :confused3 :confused3

Roll on August, I need that beautiful Disney ship :thumbsup2

Your parents are kinda young to have stopped doing stuff.

If my dad were still around, my parents would be out doing things all the time.

Rick's parents, now, that's a different story.

They worked and scrimped and saved every single penny their whole married life.

Said they would travel and enjoy their retirement.

Well, retirement came around and they did basically NOTHING:confused3

I can't understand it. They are sitting on this huge pile of money and doing nothing with it.

We still get garage sale and thrift store items for Christmas gifts each year:confused:

Families eh Robin ?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yeah, but whatcha gonna do :confused3

Tonight I'm going over to my brothers house.

He's offered me some things that belonged to my sisterinlaw that passed away.

Apparently she had quite a collection of teacups and saucers.

He said one day to me..... what the heck do I do with those??

I said.......if no one else wants them, then let me know. I have a little collection.

Well apparently Cheryl had easily 50 or more of them. I heard they belonged to her grandmother.

She also used to sell Tupperware and my brother wants to get rid of a bunch of that too.

So..... I will be happy to go and have a look.

:wave2:

A quick hello to you all! Last week was hectic, had to take care of my work as well as another girl in the office's work since her child came down with the flu...

Now here I sit, at home, waiting hand and foot again on my little princess:

As if we haven't been sick enough... Carolin has come down with the flu and decided to add a sinus infection along with it. Saw the dr today, she put her on an antibiotic to rid of the sinus mess.

Chad woke up in the middle of the night with his 3rd bad nose bleed in a couple of weeks. His door looked like a crime scene where he was trying to open it in the dark :scared:

I miss chatting with you all! I hope everyone is doing well!

Hey Kelly.

Sounds like fun times at your house, as usual;)

No, you really don't have to share any of that fun with us.

We will be happy to just watch you:thumbsup2

Good Morning DWDQ's

Robin - Another day closer to your trip. I bet you can't wait to feel that Florida sunshine again. How long will you be away ?

Kelly - Hi there, it's great to hear from you. It sounds like you've been busy. Sorry to hear that Carolin has been poorly and that Chad is suffering with nose bleeds. I hope they're both better soon and you're back chatting with us soon too

Betsy - Have you still got snow ? I bet that Hawaii trip can't come quick enough

Well I've had a better day today. I popped to see my mum this morning, and she seemed a lot better (except for her elbow) and we're hoping to take her out tomorrow

Have a great day girls :)

Hey Mandy.

It's a beautiful sun shiny day here today but we still have piles of snow (again).

I really enjoyed a few weeks back when the snow was all gone for about a week. It was great.

We are leaving for Florida this Saturday morning and returning the next weekend on Sunday sometime. A total of 9 days away.

Good Morning DWDQs,

Its Thursday, but not the normal lunch day today...
We will not be going to Cortese, or picking up the DGS..got to watch the outgoing dollars...
But we will be getting my mom and taking her out...She still should get out once a week...and she so loves riding in the car and hearing the 40s music I put on for her...She sings right along...knows every word...Its wierd how she remembers all those songs, but cant remember what happened just this morning, or who some people are...She still knows me thank god...

Hello ladies.

I went this morning for my annual physical. Well not so annual since I probably haven't had one in about 3 years or more.:thumbsup2

Then I went to dance class.

It's a beautiful day here today. Well it was earlier when the sun was shining.

It's nice and warm anyways but it's supposed to rain later on.

  Yay, it's nearly the weekend:banana:

We haven't got anything planned for this weekend, I don't think the girls have got anything planned either

Robin ~ Have a safe journey down to Florida tomorrow, I hope you have a lovely, relaxing time. Have fun

Betsy & Kelly ~ What are your plans for this weekend ? I hope you have a great one

Have fun :)

 Thanks Mandy.

Now I guess I have to get packed since we need to have everything to go tonight.

We are leaving about 6:30 tomorrow morning.

The man we are travelling with is bringing a laptop so I might get the chance to pop in and say hello a couple times while I'm away.

If not, please know that I will be thinking of you all.

Now off to do some work. I've got a whole list of things I need to accomplish today.

:moped:

Thanks for the well wishes! Everyone seems fine, for now  Chad will be seeing the dr next week for his nose bleeds...
