All is good over here. The girls have not long got back from school/college and Becky has just been for a guitar lesson. I think I'm coming down with a bad cold (Kerry has kindly shared it with me ), so I'm pleased that I've got a quiet evening in front of the TV watching Heroes ahead of me while the girls go to see High School Musical 3 at the cinema

We had an exciting night last night! After few wins and many loses, Chad's football team played a great game last night and won! He hadn't gotten alot of play time this year. Due to an injury, Chad filled in for kicker and got to play offense and defense last night... he was so happy! Mom was a wreck in the bleachers though...

Mandy, hope you are feeling much better today! Is Kerry getting excited about her birthday trip?

Robin, did you manage to drag yourself to the store? I lucked out yesterday, CW went to the store since I had to be the local cab driver after the game last night.

Betsy, how's the weather in your area? Looks like next week it's going to be pretty chilly for us!

Alex had a sore throat yesterday and probably still today although I've not seen him yet.

I hope you're all well this morning

I was feeling a lot better yesterday, and I had a nice afternoon at my friends. Unfortunately my cold reappeared last night, and today I feel like I've been run over

Anyway, enough of my moaning. All being well, I'll be feeling better tomorrow as we've got a shopping day planned and we're staying over. Hopefully I'll get my last Christmas bits and pieces, and that Becky gets all her friends presents too. Then tomorrow night we'll go out for a nice meal

The girls have broken up from school for half term, so they've got a week off, so a whole week without washing school uniforms, making up lunch boxes and getting up too early ~ woohoo !!

What are your plans for the weekend ?

We are expecting rain this afternoon and for many days to come

I went food shopping this morning finally.

As for weekend plans, we don't have a lot planned.

If the weather had been nicer we might have taken the trailer out but that doesn't look like it will happen.

We are planning to have dinner with friends but no definite arrangements have been made for that either.

Hey everyone
Ive had a busy day today...But it was fun... my DBF came over to visit ( I dont get to see her often, a she works so much, and now lives father away then before)and we went for a nice walk to salt springs and back..It was a little chilly(in the 50s), but perfect for a brisk walk....and the hr. or so it took gave us plenty of time to catch up...

Now Im trying to plan my menu for our Thanksgiving dinner...Im thinking Turkey as we normally do, but I think Ill add a pork roast to that ..and cook it in the slow cooker...So people have a choice...Then...Mashed, and sweet potatoes, fresh green/wax beans, ...Im not sure what else...???
I have some time...but looking at all these recipes are making me hungry......Which is NOT good...because I am going food shopping tonight...LOL

I was going to go eariler today, but my steering is making an odd noise..and Mike wants to look at it before I take it out again...Just to be safe...Its probably in need of fluid...

Yesterday was very cold, but it wasnt too bad today as I said..a little chilly, but my fires going so its nice and cozy in the house...

No plans for this weekend yet....But we always end up doing something...work on the house somehow I assume...I let Mike decide as its really his days off...

Robin,
We didnt use the trailer at all this year...Mike has a problem with his tow pakg, on his truck..Now its too cold..Oh well...there is always next year...Im sure with saving for our trip... camping in it will be the only vacation we will be able to afford next summer...probably like you,.... weekend trips...

I was so very tired yesterday for some reason and I had a ton of work to be done since we were having company for dinner.

Our shopping day went well. Becky sorted out all her friends presents, I bought some nice Christmas cards and Paul bought himself some new clothes and me a top that will look great for the Christmas party season

We had a couple of nice meals and the girls went to see HSM3 again

Betsy - Your Thanksgiving menu looks fab, my mouth is watering at how delicious it all sounds. How many people will you have coming over for dinner ?

We had a fun weekend here...Played a new Wii horse game with the girls, and I tried out a crockpot pork roast I am planning for Thanksgiving...I need to work on that...It cooked way too fast, and turned out dry...

Boy that must be a great movie for the kids..Ive heard about alot that are going to go see it more then once...
Ill wait until it comes to the disney channel...Thats where Ive seen the other 2...They were alright, but not worth seeing twice...But I am not a teen anymore soooo.....LOL

We are planning on My eldest son and family(9), My Dsis, and DBIL, My Mom ofcourse, Mike and I, and maybe my DILs parents( no RSVP yet)...Soooooo
It looks like 14-16 people...
Mike DGS( mikey) killed his first turkey during the summer bow hunting, and has asked if we could cook it for T.dinner, Its not a real large one, so Ill let his mom cook it, and bring it, and Ill cook a storebought one, and the pork roast... if I can figure out why my crockpot is cooking it in half the time (was suppose to cook in 4 hrs. and it was over done and dry in 2 hrs. )its suppose too.... It was alright, with gravey, but...NOT for special dinner like Thankgiving...

I am planning on making my goodies for Halloween...ie: brownie tombstones, sugarcookies, with caramel and almonds on top....No caramel apples this time...They are just too messy, to transport and all the kids have more trick or treating after my house now that they are older....I have found a cool recipe for cupcakes with hairy spiders (black gumdrops, dusted with sugar) on them, and of course mulled cider...a whole day of baking for about 15 mins of visiting....LOL
and YES Albert will be dressing up for the visit....This year he will be a bumble bee...It looks really cute on him...especially with his little nubby tail, that looks perfect for a stinger....LOL
Ill take pictures of all the costumes, Alberts included...He will have a hat again(he hates hats) so he will probably not look too happy in the pictures...

Well Im off to go clean after the weekend....

Hi all!

We had a great weekend, it was relaxing... for me anyway! We hung around home other than slipping up the road to Chad's soccer game! It was very windy and rainy! This Saturday will be the last two games!

Chad has a halloween party to go to on Friday, Carolin was invited but CW & I would rather her wait hanging out with the older kids.

Needless to say she is an unhappy child right now! She'll get over it! We may take her and some of her friends to a haunted house if she plays her cards right!

I need a good push to do some Christmas shopping (and some money too)!

Oops... I'm being paged in the office... gotta go!
