What are you up to today ? I'm just taking my mum to another hospital appointment and grocery shopping, so nothing exciting

Morning all,

Its my Thursday lunch day.....and its beautiful out AGAIN!
The only drawback is its so nice and warm out, that I cant bring Albert today...It wil be too hot in the car.. ..I hate to leave him home, but he had a nice long walk yesterday...So he will probably be happy to rest anyway!..

Its only 2 month until we go to the world...AND my DN and DSis might join us for one of the weekends...Jenn, (my DN), is the one that works for Disney in Ca.
She's up there somewhere in the corp. tech area, but for the life of me I can never remember her title...
But it will be GREAT to see her! if it all pans out...

Well I better get ready to go, with having to go get my mom, my day starts a couple of hrs. earlier then it use to....

Morning ladies.

I ended up spending over 4 hours last night in the emergency room with my mom.

She fell and broke her wrist or a bone just above it.

She went outside to plant some flowers a neighbour had given her and somehow tripped or had a stone slip sideways and she fell.

Now she has a cast and her hand is quite swollen. They had to reset it too because it was not in line.

I spent the night at her house with her just in case but I think she's okay. My brother will be in and out of there all day long because they run a business from her home.

Not exactly what I was planning on doing with my evening.

Woohoo, it's nearly the weekend

What are your plans for the weekend ? We haven't got much planned. The girls are going to a concert tomorrow night, to see Simple Plan, so Paul & me are going out for something to eat, and to pop in and say hello to one of the girls friends as she is having an 18th Birthday party tomorrow night

Betsy - I hope you had a great day yesterday

Robin - I hope your mum is OK today

Kelly - I hope you're having a fab time

Anyone know when Kelly is due back, I can't wait to hear all about her Cruise

Morning ladies.

I spent another evening in the Emergency Room last night.

We were there from 11:30 till shortly after 2am.

My mom's hand was extremely swollen, hurting and her fingers were changing colours.

Not good.

So we went in and they cut a small slice out of her cast so there would be more room.

The swelling started to go down very quickly after that although her fingers are still swollen this morning she tells me.

She has an appointment on Monday with the specialist so hopefully things are on the mend by then.

I think that Kelly should be getting back tomorrow

Makes sense if it was a 7 day cruise anyways.

I don't know what I'm doing this weekend for sure but I know that today I'm going to try and get outside as much as possible and enjoy the wonderful day that we have going on.

It was so nice out today I had a hard time coming inside....
So I did some gardening...My hands are killing me...and my back hurts too...
I just LOVE spring...

Mike also took me to dinner and a movie ...It was a very funny movie, but I just cant remember the name...

Hello, where are all my cruising buddies today??

I spent another 4 hours at the Emergency Room again today.

The cast was still too tight so we had to go back.

They cut the sleeve stocking thingy underneath this time, so hopefully all will be well.

I sure don't want to go and sit there again.

It was such a great day outside today too and we spent it all sitting inside looking out

We had a very busy day yesterday. First I was taking Becky shopping, when my car broke down. Then the girls and a couple of their friends went to see Simple Plan in a town about 45 minutes away. We took them (and their friends dad was bringing them back), so Paul & I had a night out. We went to a lovely Italian restaurant and afterwards we went to an 18th party that we'd all been invited to. I found out that the girl who was 18 and her family (who are big Disney fans too) will be in WDW when we are in August. So that'll be great to spend some time with them in WDW again

We got home just before the girls, and we had all had a great evening

Today Paul & I will go and visit his elderly aunt, and then I'm hoping to just chill out for the rest of the day

Good Morning DWDQs,

We all went to visit with my mom yesterday, and took her out to this place near her place, for Ice cream..It was really cute...just like the old ice cream places of yesteryear...It really looked like small town america...
The prices, put me back to the present though... No they really were'nt that bad...but getting something for eight people really adds up...even just Ice cream....
My mom enjoyed herself and thats what mattered...So it was worth it!

I had a GREAT weekend!...
Just got the news that Brittany is going to be able to join us on the WDW trip, so all the birthday plans are a go....and I even booked a wishes(they all LOVE wishes)birthday cruise...
We will be going from the Poly, so we all can at least visit our fave resort...and I made ADRs at the Kona for dessert(this is why she thinks we will be there)and then after we will just be "taking a walk around to se if we can get a good spot to watch wishes"...whe I will actually be leading them to a boat all decorated with streamers and balloons and a Happy Birthday banner!...She is going to just freak!..I cant wait to see her face ...She LOVES attention!....

Well Im off to check out the other threads and see if any codes have come out since Ive been too busy to Dis. this weekend...

My sister and DN will be staying at CB, But Im thinking Id reather stay at POR, if I can get a code and they are not full....We will just have to see...The girls like those surry bikes and they dont have them at PC, but if we end up staying at PC... We can always rent one at the BW....But POR has the nicest path for them!...

I was waiting to see how long it would take before someone noticed

Well, it happened like this.

I was checking the prices for a visit to WDW staying at the POP Century, maybe during free dining time.

Then I wondered.... how much for a Disney Cruise about the same time

There was only about 100 dollars difference between the price of 5 nights at POP Century or 4 nights on the Wonder.

So I asked my mother which she would really rather do and she decided that she wanted to do the Cruise.

And, of course, who am I to argue

So right now it will be me, mom and Rick doing the 4 night Wonder Cruise, September 28- Oct 2.

There just happens to be a MNSSHP scheduled for the night that the ship comes back, so we might stay for that too.



We had plenty of discussion time while we were sitting in hospital Emergency Room waiting areas this past weekend.

Mom asks what day the cruise comes back and I tell her Thursday and she says, well, we might just as well stay until the weekend then!
