Okay ladies it is official as of tonight.

I guess that I will be leaving on Saturday morning sometime.

There is space for me in the van for the trip to the Miami area.

I will be gone for probably about 11 days in total

That is a long time to be away from home, especially since Alex will be having all 4 of his wisdom teeth taken out the day before we are to arrive home.

I guess that he will be fine without his mommy here to take care of him. He will have his sister, his girlfriend and his two grandmothers available to tend to him.

Well not exactly 11 days in Miami..

11 days away from home, which includes probably up to 5 days of driving time to get there and back again. Still that leaves me at a minimum 6 days in Florida

I will pass on the good luck to Rick but the guys really do not expect to do anywhere near well at this competition.

They are mainly going for the fun and to get out of the snow for a bit.

There will be a lot of pilots there, so hard to place in the top rankings.

I like the jacket picture too. We were waiting in line for a ride and it was chilly so they thought they'd warm each other up.

Oh I forgot to tell you guys what came in the mail this morning.

There was a large envelope in the mailbox and it felt to me like a book or something.

I did a used book exchange here on the DIS so was thinking maybe it was that.

I opened it and there was a picture frame inside.

It had Subway's name in caligraphy letters with his paw print and some of his hair.

There was also a card signed by a bunch of people at the vet's office.

That was really sweet of them to do that.

They did a good job of making sure that all of the colours of his fur were in there too.

A nice little reminder of my dear sweet old man

We're all great thanks Kelly, the girls are off school for a week for half term. They went ice-skating yesterday, to a friends today and they're going to the zoo tomorrow - LOL, 17 & 14 going on 5

You're off to bed late Robin, what has kept you up so late ?

I've got a nice quiet day ahead of me, as I have just dropped Kerry, Becky and their friends off at the zoo, and I'll go and pick them up at 4pm. Then tonight Paul is taking me to Birmingham - we're going for a meal, staying the night and going shopping in the morning.

So I'm not going to be around much this weekend - so have a great weekend girls

going at my house

Mandy, everyone's doing better after last night.

We had a very heated soccer game... a dad on the other team got ontop of the bleachers yelling over the plexiglass at our players (which is against the rules). This got the rest of the parents worked up, so everytime one of their players would fall... it sounded like a bunch of two year olds hollaring.

The ref was calling alot of senseless calls against our players and CW kept asking the ref to get some control of the game before it gets out of hand... well he never did and the parents ended up confronting some of our parents (me being the main one)

But that's ok... I defended our boys and parents, but now I think I'm going to be called into the facility on Saturday. The sports facility had a rep come out to get involved in the mess... he just stood there and did nothing, he was no help!!

Sooooo... off to the principal's office I go!

Yes it was a very nice thing for them to do.
