Hey Dancing Queens

I hope you are all well. What are your plans for the weekend, anything nice ?

Well this weekend me & Paul are off to WDW, we head up to the airport hotel tonight and we'll be flying to Orlando tomorrow morning and checking into The Poly for a couple of days. We're staying the night at Port Canaveral on Monday, then we board the Disney Wonder on Tuesday for our 5 night Cruise. We are really looking forward to going to Key West, as it's our first time there. After the cruise we'll be spending our last 6 days at the Pop Century

I'll be taking lots of photos and I'll do a trip report when I get back so you can read about our adventures

Hey Dancing Queens I'm home !!

Paul and I had a FAN-TAS-TIC time. The Cruise was brilliant, I can't wait to download our photos as Paul got some great ones, then I can make a start on my trip report

Other highlights: Staying at Portofino Bay for one night, wow ! what a beautiful resort, I hope we get to stay there again one day

How is everyone ? I hope you're all OK, what have you been up to ?

It's great to hear that you had a fantastic vacation Mandy. Can't wait to see those pictures.

I did a lot of dancing while you were gone. Our annual recital was on June 12, so lots of practice was needed before then.

Unfortunately my mom found out a week ago that she has breast cancer. She will be seeing the surgeon tomorrow to set a date for a mastectomy.

My surgery is this Wednesday and I will be gone for 3 to 7 days.

So sorry to hear your mum's news Robin, I hope she's OK, and I hope she gets her surgery soon

I hope all goes well with your op too, and that you'll be home soon

Well we're having a lazy weekend, and I am sitting here watching England playing Germany in the World Cup, we're losing 4-1 at the moment, and it looks like we could lose by more

HollyAnn has been in touch with Rick, about Robin and the news is she is doing better and taking walks in the hall of the hosp. after having a bit of a ruff time at first.

Ive had the day off today, but worked on the newsletter for most of it.
Oh well it was a little rainy most of this morning anyway.

Took Brittany out shopping for her 17th birthday on Sat. She bought a few very cute Ts, and a nice pair of jean, along with a couple of hair accessories.
Then we took her to a new Chinese buffet. It was a very nice time. Although seeing as she worked from 8AM til 1PM, and I worked from 8AM til 12 PM, and we didn't get going until around 2PM by the time we got done with dinner Mike had two very tired females on his hands.
Then on Sunday we went to Mike and Lori's for Billy's 7th birthday party. His birthday isn't til the 1st of July, but this is when more people were around, seeing as its the 4th of July weekend that weekend. It was a fun party , with a ton of kids running amok, and too much food

Other than that.....
nothing more to tell, just SSDD

Free at last, although the past 2 and 1/2 days I've felt like a malingerer.

I've been feeling really great for the past few days but had to progress my way thru a fluid diet, a full fluid diet and then a regular diet before I could be released from the hospital.

So I spent my time walking the halls and hanging about

The nurse took half of my staples out before I left (half was 15 although I really did have 32 staples ) I have to go back on Monday to see the surgeon again when she will remove the rest of the staples.

Other than that I'm doing not too badly.

The pathology report came back from my tumour and it is a cancerous one. It is called a gastrointestinal stromal tumour or a GIST. The doctor does not expect that I will need any further treatment with it. I will be going to a cancer clinic just to make sure. I will keep you updated when I know more about it myself.

My mom is doing okay, thanks for asking Mandy. Her surgery is actually scheduled for this Friday at 8am. She has an entire breast removed and she only has to stay in the hospital for 1 night. I was there for 6

So my trips to the hospital are not finished yet for a bit.

Hey Robin, how are you ? I hope you're making a good recovery, I can't believe how many staples you had to have ~ you poor thing, it sounds awful. How long till you're back to normality ?

Sorry I haven't been around much, it's been mad around here. The girls are going away in our caravan at the weekend for two weeks. We're taking the van down to the New Forest and setting it up for them, then showing them how everything works and hopefully they'll have a relaxing two weeks in it. They're taking a couple of friends too, so they should have a good time

While we're down that way, Paul & I are going to Southampton (about 1/2 an hour away from where the caravan is), and going out for a nice meal and staying over

Hi there Mandy.

I'm doing well thanks.

I go on Monday to have the rest of my staples removed and to see the surgeon. We will see what she has to say then.

I was told that I had a 6 week recovery period to look forward to. No heavy lifting, pushing, pulling etc. Basically do as little physical work as possible.

I don't know if I can stay away from dancing that long though

Today is a holiday here. Canada Day, the birthday of our country.

Have a great time at the weekend. We are travelling this weekend too.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Paul & I went to join the girls in the New Forest. We bought a little tent and set it up in our caravan awning, and we had a great time, especially as the weather was so good
