The neighbour put his garbage in front of my car this morning.

Rick had left his van parked in front of my car and was obviously gone this morning before the garbage went out.

Kelly, I thought of another way to "annoy" the garbage man neighbour

If I were up when he puts the garbage next to my car, I could set off the car alarm from the house and scare the heck out of him

Well I got my house as clean as its going to get......I dont have any plans today...so Ill be on and off all day today...
I think I may have another go at making my slide show movie....I cant seem to get sound on it correctly and its driving me crazy

That's a great idea Robin or you could put a walkie-talkie in your car, and when he puts his rubbish out, then 'your car' could say 'Could you move your rubbish away from me, cos it smells'

Okay, guys.

There is a growling creature in my fireplace

When we got the big screen tv we put it on the fireplace hearth right in front of the opening. I closed off the opening with a styrofoam sheet and a glass window frame.

For the past couple days I have heard the sounds of something in there.

We finally decided that we better figure out what it is.

We tried to move the styrofoam gently and whatever it is GROWLED at us

Playing the waiting game.........

I wonder what it will turn out to be

Tomorrow I'm going on that silly roof and make sure that nothing else can get down that chimney

I know now what is in the fireplace/chimney.

It is a squirrel.

I saw it this morning.

Now to figureout how to get the silly thing out of there without having it running wild in my house.

I'm thinking that a squirrel can climb the bricks of the chimney, since it disappeared last night from the lower fireplace. I wonder if it just can't get out of the last little bit that is smooth pile at the top

I think I might try tying a rope at the top and dangling it down the chimney.

I'm thinking if a squirrel can hang on the side of a house and jump from very skinny tree branches to another tree, it should be able to climb a rope.

Worth a try anyways I suppose.

Now to find a rope

Mandy, I would love to get a Disney ringtone on my phone. I tried to put Bibbidi Boppity Boo on mine but it wasn't very loud. I didn't think it was worth the money if I couldn't hear it Thanks for the Christmas countdown!!

CW & I celebrated our 14th anniversary yesterday by taking the kids with us. We spent the whole day in the Virginia Beach area going to the mall, IMAX theater and the aquarium. I didn't take my camera... wish I would have. Carolin fell in love with the stingrays and was the last one there petting them, they were waiting to be fed so they all surfaced! She was on

We ended our day with dinner at the Lynnhaven Fish House, I figured it was a very casual restaurant with medium priced menu items ($10 - $15) however it wasn't. The average meal was $25 and the kids were hungry We had a great time anyway!

I called the pest control guy to come and get my new squirrel friend from the fire place.

He came and the squirrel is still here

There was a small electric fireplace sitting in the hearth and we could not get the squirrel to come out from behind it and go into the trap.

That squirrel was absolutely determined to stay here with me

We eventually got the electric insert out and the squirrel went crazy and went up the flue. Is that how you spell that word???

So now we have a trap set in the fireplace.

Hopefully once the squirrel calms down he will nicely out into the trap.

That's a theory anyways

Robin... all I have to say is The movie "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" plays out in my mind where the squirrel pops out of their Christmas tree

The squirrel has left the house.

I left shortly after the pest guy and went to get groceries.

When I returned about an hour and a half later the squirrel was waiting for me in the cage.



It wasn't very happy about it either. It was trying to get out and telling me about it at the same time

So now the squirrel has returned to it's normal life after having a short vacation at my house.

Hopefully it did not like it here enough to return
