Today is Thursday, dance class day.

I have a class at 11 am, one at 6:45pm and another at 7:30pm.

Maybe in between I will go and visit my dad

I haven't seen him in a few weeks.

Mike likes the idea of the Cosa Maya, Cosamel(sp?) 7 day cruise.... ...for our "No kids"trip...in 09.....It would have to be in a "no freeze" time....I havent looked into it much yet so Im not sure when the sailing dates are.....
Im really surprised...I didnt think he'd want to cruise again so soon....

Ya think you'd concider moving it up to the spring????
Now that you have me thinking about it Im going to go take a look.....

i had a nice chat with a lady from Carnival Cruiseline today.

She called me. We cruised with them our very first cruise in 1994 and not since then. I'm surprised that our info was still in their database

Good morning girls

I'm feeling very Christmassy today, I bought a nice Santa tablecloth, serviettes and plates this morning and some lovely santa wrapping paper (as I'm going to start wrapping presents next week)

Also I received DVD's of Muppets Christmas Carol and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas - as I'm trying to replace my old videos

So, what plans have you got for the weekend ? We've got nothing planned as yet.

I have no plans so far.

I THINK that Rick is going away this weekend. I'm not 100% sure of when or where he is going though

I really should get up to visit with my dad. I haven't seen him in quite a time. Not that he really knows who I am anymore but I know who HE is and that is really what counts.

We plan on making brunch reservations for this cruise.

I have never made any advance reservations before, so this will be different for us.

Thanks to Betsy and Mike, we now know what brunch in Palo is like so we have to go again

We thought we'd share our new found knowledge with our friends that we are cruising with this time. They love to eat and will enjoy the brunch for sure.

Other than the brunch we have no definite plans so far. Don't know if or what we will be doing in Nassau. Might just see what happens when we get there. Personally I don't care if I get off the ship at all.

Its very rainny here...very fall'ish...

I looked into the costa maya cruise...and was told its only offered until 12/08...and there is no way to tell if it will even be offered for the 09 season.....So I guess all we can do is wait, and see... ...
It does look like it would be a fun cruise....

Is everyone ready for Halloween????....
I have the candy...But I still have to shop for the caramel apples, and make cookies,...cupcakes, and ricekrispie treats....
Albert is going to be a pumpkin this year.......LOL... ..He looks so humiliated, but funny in it....The kids cant wait to come and find out what he will be.....I'll post pics.....

Well Im going to, get my day started...as late as it is....

We have to make a trip to town and then finish closing the cottages....Its suppose to get VERY cold tonight....

Betsy - I was only thinking about Albert last night, when he dressed up last year for Hallowe'en. I look forward to seeing this years photo (aww, bless him )

Unfortunately I'm not into Hallowe'en at all. The whole Hallowe'en thing has only caught on over here in the last couple of years. If I was in WDW, then I would dress up for MNSSHP, but here, I really dislike it. So come Wednesday evening I'll just lock the front door and not answer it to anyone - though I hope you all have a great evening

Robin - I'm so jealous that you're going to Palo - Mmm, all that fab food, it really is something special

Kelly - Where are you ? Have you got any Hallowe'en plans ? I hope you're all well

It's a dreary rainy day here today. Very fallish also. The temperatures are not too bad thought, so that helps.

I'm not too much into Halloween either. I do hand out treats to the kids that come but we don't usually get much more than 25- 30 kids. Lots of years we only had a dozen or so.

Having a good time with my DGDs....
Ive been busy making chicken sausage soup...I hear it turned out very good, although I havent had any yet....

Wed. Ill be making.....(for my little T-O-Ters)
Spice cupcakes with lemon frosting (turned orange, for a pumpkin face)..., sugar cookies with caramel and slivered almonds on top,,,caramel apples, Rice Krispie treats,...brownies,..and of course candy....

I can do this because I only get my DGC...BUT I always make more then I need ...Just in case.....

Hi all!

CW & I had to make a quick trip towards the western part of Virginia on Thursday (about a 4 1/2 hr drive). My great aunt is planning on moving in with her daughter who lives in New Mexico.

I had heard she wasn't doing well and has put her house on the market. They needed us to come out and help move some things and clean up a little.

I couldn't wait to get out there and see my Aunt Billie, I was sad thinking it would be the last time I saw her... but to my suprise she looked great and said "I'm not done with living yet, I still got alot of kick in me and some living to do" She is keeping the doctors and nurses on their toes and is pushing to get moving around again!

Do you have a date decided for Jan 09 Kelly

I think it'll be the second week in January. Hopefully we will know soon! Did you get out to see your dad?

Betsy, we would love to go on a 7 night... but I think the only way we could do that as a family is to **gasp** go on another cruise line. We are planning on trying that in 2011

Mandy, we haven't done much planning for Halloween. It'll probably be low key around here. We don't get any trick or treaters where we live and the kids are past the age limit.

Glad to hear you found your great aunt in better spirits than you were expecting.

Yes I got to see my dad yesterday.

He was pretty out of it but still occasionally you see glimpses of the "old" guy in there.

We were told that he had been up wandering all night and hardly had any sleep at all. So therefore he was quite tired.

Robin - It's so difficult when you see a loved one change so much. We saw Paul's aunt at the weekend and although she seemed fine this week, sometimes when we go she can make up the most amazing stories of things that she thinks have happened - but didn't really, it can be so sad

Betsy - I can't wait to see Alberts Halloween outfit this week

Well today it is Paul & mine 19th wedding anniversary, I don't know where the time has gone, I can remember our wedding day like it was last week (it was such a great day). So tonight we're going out for a meal, which will be lovely

Robin, good that you got to see him! I can't imagine how frustrated they must feel having alzheimers. My grandfather would have good moments, then his smiling face would turn into frustration. He knew something wasn't right and couldn't speak about it... I'm always keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers
