Hi Jennifer :wave2: Nice to see ya here!

AM I THE ONLY ONE WITH NO TONSILS?? I thought the majority of kids had them out back in 60's and 70's until they found out it wasn't necessary.

In my area, alot of kids my age did have a tonsilectomy. Hmmm... :scratchin , maybe there's a story here... something they are hiding from us!

Maybe I was a guinea pig for the medical center here :scared1:

Apart from Robin who is off to the Pop Century tomorrow, is anyone else doing anything nice this weekend ? The girls are having a sleepover here tonight, they're at the cinema at the moment, then it will be chaos.

Hiya Mandy and Robin

Mandy,
Betsy ~ Did your Mom have a good birthday ?

She had a very nice birthday...She was brought a cake at the place we have our Thursday lunches.(been going to this place on Thurs. for more then 10 yrs. now)....and we got her a covered swing to put on her new deck...also a birdfeeder ....and my DSis got her a very nice outfit...

She wasnt to happy about turning 83, but I told her its alot better then the alternative..She agreed :teeth:

Robin,
When I was young , the dr. wanted me to get them removed. My parents decided not to :) ....I havent had any trouble with them, so I guess they were right :thumbsup2

Maybe I was a guinea pig for the medical center here :scared1:

Hi all

Sorry I've been away for a while (DS eldest is now engaged, and DS youngest has closed on his own place, and we are also remodeling a bathroom and spare room), someone will have to catch me up on the highlights...... :confused3

I have my passport now and I've paid off my cruise

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. :goodvibes

That is a lot going on....congratulations!!! My cruise is almost paid off too... I only have the transfers to go!! :woohoo:

Happy weekend everyone!

Hi from a rather wet U.K.

Kelly ~ Miami Vice was rubbish, even Paul (who'll sit through most bad programmes) wanted to get up and leave half way through it. I'm not a fan of Colin Farrell's anyway, but I thought that Jamie Foxx would've been a bit cooler in it. I think I'll just stick to the 80's version :thumbsup2

Colleen ~ enjoy your hectic weekend, let us know where you ended up going to

Sue ~ Congratulations to your DS on his engagement, it sounds like you've been really busy. It's a great feeling when you pay the cruise off, isn't it ??

Jennifer ~ Like I said to Sue, it's a lovely feeling when the cruise is paid off, it's just a case of saving up for all the Bahama Mamas and photos onboard ~ LOL

Robin ~ Have a fab time, I wish I was there too, have fun

:wave2: Hi everyone else

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Mandy :)

Wow!! I had nearly 3 pages to catch up on!!

I have some pretty exciting news....I just sent out Randall's passport Friday. I was able to meet up with his dad and get it all straightened out! It was sooo easy and painless I'm thinking about getting mine and DH's pictures done this weekend and next week find time to get mine, his and Cora's sent out. Cora's pictures are done, and all of our paperwork is filled out and documents together, should be painless!!
We're HOPING to get to the National Folk Festival today. We started going when I was pregnant with Cora and now she has never NOT been. Today is actually Randall's b-day but he is at his dad's for the weekend so I won't get to see him til tomorrow. Well, I have to drop off his meds on the way by, he has Poison Ivy or something that he takes meds for. I thought it was an allergy reaction as it wasn't really consistent with poison ivy. The doctor said we maight not really now for sure unless it happens again. He wasn't really itching it. He said it itched, but I NEVER saw him scratch, and that doesn't sound like poison ivy, or oak or sumac to me!! Anyway, it is healing, thank goodness. I sent that child to kindergarten first day with an eye swollen shut, he was bit by something, but fine, First grade he fell off his bike, didn;t have his hemet on,though I'm not sure it would have helped, and stated 1st grade with a black eye! 2nd grade he had to leave early on the first day due to an appointment I couldn't change, 3rd grade....nothing unusual. 4th grade...poison ivy? :joker: Well, it's better than the black eye or swollen eye, I was beginning to think they might report me to the state or something.!!
NOw that I've totally rambled on, Today is Randall's b-day, but we are having family cake and icecream tomorrow afternoon. and he is having 4-5 friends over next Sat for a friends party. Normally I don't let him have a friends party, but I found some really cute pirate party stuff so I bought it!

DD and her BestFriend just outside of the stingray shack...Here to say
party: :bday: party:
Happy Birthday Randall!

I got so into the story I missed the fact that it's his birthday :faint: :insertsmackingforeheadsmileyhere!:

Here's what I posted on DCL pic-a-day....to get you guys in the mood maybe. Not that you aren't already worked up about your cruise...;)

I am so there with you and am almost looking forward to January as much as you guys :grouphug:

I met up with them after their football game on the teen beach to head over to the banana boat for our ressies...

We wound up staying home last night :lmao:

I refrained from telling you guys, the more we have to do the more John likes to stay at home ;)

He proved me right last night....

We had Japanese for dinner together and DQ blizzards for dessert and stayed home and watched a movie on tv.

We've got so much goin on most days, you all can attest to this...sometimes it's nicer to just stay home and enjoy the quiet.
