Hi from sun filled Massachusetts! We finally saw blue sky and the sun today. Let's get rid of the water now! About 1/2 hr from us is where its really bad..they still have no school.

Have any of you been on the cruise in January? I'm wondering about weather and what to pack? Shorts???

We got the Disney CD last night and I've watched it twice already! I'm already thinking of booking a 7 day and I haven't been on the first cruise yet! Oh, boy! Where's the money tree??? LOL
Hope everyone is having a super day!
Laurie

Laurie, I have cruised in January 6 times before.

It's very hard to predict what the weather will be but I've always used shorts on all of my cruises.

We have had really warm/hot cruises and others that were a little more on the chilly side but still comfortable. This of course depends on the part of the world you are coming from ;) I am from Canada and whatever the temperature is in the Caribbean is definitely warmer than it is at home :rotfl2:

I suggest when the cruise gets a few weeks away, start watching the weather forecasts and plan your packing based on that.

I agree with Robin about the weather! When we went the January before last I packed capris and shorts and 1 pair of pants. The water was cooler than I'm used to (it might not bother you, I think your water temps stay cooler than ours in Va.). The winds were worst on the ship that time of year, but it only bothered me when we went to the front to play basketball with the kids! Every shot I missed (which were very many), I blamed on the winds :rotfl2:

I am not a great ball player anyway!

P. S. If you find a money tree, let me know where they grow! :thumbsup2 I'd love to cruise at least once a year on the 7 days!

I think I'll have Cora tuck some tissues in her leotard, she'll like quite "developed" for a 5 yr old, but she has the messiest sneezes. And for some reason she is so worried about it not getting on anything, she'll have both hands under and around her nose, and just politely asking "can I have a tissue please?" :rotfl: 3 times during dance class she had to stop to wipe her nose and then go wash her hands. Not a lot of practicing. No worse than when she had her bath today. Usually she has a shower but once in a while I let her have a bath, and because she wasn't feeling well, today was a good day. Two messy sneezes later, I had to change her water!!! :rotfl2: EEEEeeeeEEEWWWwwWwww!!!

Hi Guys

I need your help, please :)

Does anyone shope at Bealls ? As there is an offer on the Universal Studios site for Annual Passes (Buy one year, get one year free), here is the link

http://www.universalorlando.com/annualpass/index.php.html

Obviously if you need the passes, then I hope that the link will be useful for you, but if you don't, would you kindly PM me with the special coupon code number on your receipt (store receipts should be dated 5/19/2006 thru 8/31/2006)

Thanks for any help

Mandy :)

Bless her heart! Sounds familiar, my DS still has allergy probs! They haven't been as bad since he started using Nasonex. :goodvibes But when he was younger his poor little nostrils were like spicots :crazy2: and sneezing wasn't a pretty site either

Good luck tommorrow, Cora! :woohoo: And  Randall! I know you guys are looking forward to a summer break! Take care, Wendy! :grouphug:

Aw shucks!!

Mandy... Oh :guilty: , I've got bad news! This doesn't apply to online store sales. Maybe one of the other DISers in Florida can help you, unfortunately Beall's is only located in Florida :confused3

I am so sorry that I couldn't do any better for ya!

Hope someone else can help! Take care :grouphug:

Cora's recital was today. I got some really cute pictures. Now I just need to figure out how to upload them. :confused3 I took pictures backstage and during their dress rehearsal so not to distract them w/the flash during the actual recital.
I'm soooo glad it's over. It's such a stressful day for EVERYONE. Tomorrow she will be skipping TKD because she has a b-day party to go to :cheer2: . Then Monday I am having a scrapbooking party....case anybody want to come!!, gonna make some caremel filled chocolate cookies  and some peanut clusters!

I'm glad Cora's dance recital went well. My dance recital is on June 24th, so we've got a few more weeks to practice :dancer: and I think we need it. ;)

Looking forward to seeing some pictures from the recital. I use imagestation.com to post my pictures.

Sorry I'm not into scrapbooking so I won't be able to make the party. Hope everyone has fun though.

:wave2: Hi Guys, I hope you are all having a great weekend

I managed to get a code for the 2 year Preferred Annual Passes for US/IOA (the code is BEALLS06 ~ if anyone needs it)

Wendy ~ I'm pleased that Cora's dance recital went well and I look forward to seeing some photos. I'd love to pop over for your party (even though I'm not into scrapbooking ~ though it would be fun to meet you ~ and have some of those delicious cookies ~ LOL :rotfl: )

Yesterday my DD's spent the day at Alton Towers (a big theme park in England) and they had a great day. Hubby and I went to see Mission Impossible 3 (a bit disappointing) and then we went for a lovely Chinese meal.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Mandy :)

MMMMmmmmmm.....chinese food! Kayla's gonna bring some chines takeout over sometime soon. (my b-day present) My mouths watering already. :rotfl:
Glad you got your pass, Mandy. We have no use an annual pass, January will be my FIRST trip to WDW :Pinkbounc . And the last time my DH and Kayla went....it was more that 6 yrs ago.(before me)

Now that Cora's dance class is over for the season, they don't start again til Oct., I think she will be starting gymanstics for the summer. :woohoo: There;s always something! :rolleyes2

Hope you had a great birthday Wendy!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only adult who hasn't been to WDW :goodvibes Enjoy your breather in between dance and gymnastics, Wendy :thumbsup2

Mandy always has the neatest b-day graphics! I'm glad to hear that you were able to get a code for the Universal passes! I look forward to seeing MI3 only because part of the filming took place on the bridge that we travel on quite often :teeth: not because of Mr. Cruise, he's been bit of a disappointment to me here lately

Robin... got them dance moves down yet? :dancer: Good luck to ya, you will do fine next month! :woohoo:

My legs and tummy are killing me today! :guilty: Saturday, we spent all day at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg (alot of walking) and yesterday, we spent all day at Ocean City (a big ocean resort area with tons of small amusement parks)! I ate so much both days that I don't need to eat for a few days, I'm still full

Take care and have a great day all! :grouphug:

 Weird weather day here today. When the sun shines it is beautiful out but when it does not the wind is very chilly. :cold:

I'm still working on those dance moves Kelly. I hope I do okay but heck who cares. I just challenge anyone who wants to laugh to get up on the stage and do it with us :thumbsup2

I would like to go to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. It is on my list of things to do someday. ;)

I'm off to start painting on the kitchen again. Have to get it all done before the new floor gets installed because I am a messy painter :teeth:

Have a great day!
