My day here has just started so I can't tell you how lovely it is going to be yet :teeth:

How was your Mother's Day, Mandy.

I got a Lucky Bamboo plant from my son and his girlfriend and a really cute card from my daughter with an IOU for pictures of her and her brother together. The last time I had pictures taken of them together was probably about 14 years ago. So it will be nice to have a grown up picture of them together. :goodvibes

Mother's Day in the UK was way back in March, and I got a Stitch mug and some make-up

Have a great day girls :)

Happy Mother's Day to Everyone! I hope everyone has a wonderful day! It's been raining here now for about 6 days with other 5 day to go! Yuck! I got beautiful homemade cards from ds and dd with a nice comforter!

Randall made me a potholder in art class and a beaded safety pin in his regular classroom. He made a card too. Cora made a card this morning and gave me a carnation that her TKD instructor gave her to give me. She soooo wanted to do breakfast in bed but DH talked her into letting me sleep in instead, I'm not a breakfast person....I'm not a morning person. The day would have been quite nice if the kids would have gotten along for awhile today, can't have everything I guess.

DH has to work on sundays bt once he got home he grilled ribs and steak and we had a wonderful dinner! we all played some basketball and enjoyed the evening. just relaxing watching movies now. hope everyone had a great mother's day!

What would you suggest for first-timers? We don't know what to do, stingrays or trip to Atlantis? Any suggestions??

thanks!

Laurie

Laurie, I've never done the stingray thing but I've been to Atlantis a couple of times.

We went once with the DCL shore excursion and the second time we just got a taxi and went over on our own.

I don't know which one to suggest that you do. I guess it depends on your group and what they are most interested in.

 Glad to hear everyone had a great mother's day! I got dinner and a movie yesterday! I'm rethinking the cruise now after seeing Poisedon! That wave freaked me out big time!

Just kidding! ;) I still can't miss that kind of fun!!

Speaking of Nassau exc... I think we are leaning towards Atlantis! I hope it's a good decision!

Hey Wendy and Laurie... are you guys in any areas that are having probs with flooding? We have been keeping the northeast in our prayers with all of the rain. My DBIL has family up in Mass, they said it's a mess up that way!

Take care you guys! :grouphug:

Hi,

We live near Lowell, Mass where there is alot of flooding going on. My girlfriend just called to say no school until Thur/Fri because of the floods. Also might shut off water to homes, she wasn't sure. It sure is a mess. They say rain until Thursday! Where is the Wonder???? LOL My BIL is in Disney right now, 92 degrees and having a blast!

I hope that everyone is Okay, what with the fires in Florida and the flooding elsewhere ~ I just hope that everyone is safe and well

Laurie ~ we'll just be staying onboard at Nassau (we'll disembark just to take a few piccies), we've never done any excursions and we're quite happy to take advantage of a quiet ship

Glad you all had a lovely Mother's Day

Mandy :)

The extreme Southern part of Maine has had some pretty bad flooding, but we just started getting rain this morning :umbrella: . We live along the river so it doesn't take too much for our road to flood. Makes the kids happy because if the road is flloded, the school but doesn't come, if the school bus can't get through, the absent isn't counted against them  . Only thing is DH has to go around the long way to get to work (extra 20-30mins depending on how bad flooding is), so he often takes the kids to school on flood days. :rotfl: :rotfl: Occassionally I will allow a skip day, but only if they seem to be doing particually well in school at the time :thumbsup2 . That doesn't happen too often though. :sad2:

Hope everyone else is safe and feeling well!

We've done that lots of times too. ::yes::

:guilty: Cora did not go to preschool today. This funny weather is really messing with her allergies. Had to put her back on her inhaler. :guilty:
Hopefully the symptoms will clear up quickly, today is her last dance class before the recital on Sat.
