Robin~ How's your part of the world? It's got to be cold... it's pretty chilly here! Hope you're having fun getting your next cruise all straight!

It's fairly chilly here too but not real bad. It gray and dreary out though.

I had to drive Alex to the airport in Toronto this morning to catch a flight for up north. He has to be there about a week for his new job. They do some training, some ride along shifts with the ambulance and he's also going to look for an apartment. Then he will come home, pack up and move out :guilty:

I've been up since 4:45 am. The airport is about 2 1/2 hours or so from here. Today it took longer because of heavier traffic and a surprise blizzard we had to drive through on the way to Toronto  We certainly weren't expecting the blizzard. It was about an hour or so down the road and only lasted for maybe 15-20 minutes of the trip but it was nasty.

On a brighter note, I picked up the documents for my Royal Caribbean cruise today :sunny: Now I'm off to read up on it.

What a lovely surprise Robin, I always read and re-read my documents when they come. I hope that made your day a bit sunnier. :sunny:

Woohoo !! 2 Months Til Christmas

I'm glad that you are happy with that Mandy. :goodvibes

I need to get my behind in gear and get some shopping done.

I used to be so good at it, always done by this time of year but I don't seem to do it anymore. Maybe it's because everybody's older and I have no idea what to get them :confused3

Have a happy day everyone. I have to go to work. I stopped in yesterday and my inbox is overflowing :sad2: So it's off to work for me today.

Morning all!

Yikes Robin, a blizzard already? I'm not ready for snow yet!! (I'm never ready for snow!) I usually have the studded tires put on my car in late Nov, early Dec. My car is pretty useless in the winter without them! :sad2:

Mandy, I've never known anyone as excited about christmas as you. It's a nice change though. Most people I know don't enjoy the holidays because they put too much pressure and expectations on themselves. You, on the other hand, seem to enjoy everything about it! :thumbsup2

Hope the move is going is well for Jennifer. I can't imagine trying to pack and unpack around a little one. Should be interesting! :rotfl:

Anyone hear from the sisters?

I'm off to do laundry...oh happy, happy, joy, joy!! :teeth: Then I'm headed to the big city (45 min drive) to get a few things at the craft store. Our PTO is having a fall frolic and auction this friday and I still haven't made my donation yet. It's suppose to be a handmade or home baked or whatever donation and while the parents are in the gym at the auction, there's games in the classrooms for the kids. It;s their biggest fundraiser. In the past I have made scented jar candles, scrapbooks where they just add photos, greeting card sets, and trick or treat bags with scrapbook supplies. This year I have to donate to two classrooms...one for each kid, so I'm making the trick or treat bags again and also some chocolate pops. Last year I made a basket using a deer antler shed. It was extremely time consuming and a bit difficult and it went for $15. I had twice that in to it. I've also made little girls hairbows before too, had $20 in supplies into them and they went for $6!! You got to know ahead of time that it's a DONATION, and you can't worry about how much they get for it. My mom makes fudge and puts them in 2lbpackages and they go for $20 each. :confused3 Anyway, that's my day! Talk to you all soon...Hope NO ONE gets snow today!!

We are usually so lucky, we don't usually get much snow, though even if we only get an inch or so then the town and nearby city come to a complete standstill - we are really not prepared for snow at all

I think that's the one thing I dislike about the winter - I can cope with the cold temperatures and the rain - but not snow

Wendy - it sounds like you make lovely things for the kids donation day, do all the parents take part ? I know when my girls were at junior school, I was always baking cakes etc, but not everyone would pull their weight and help out. I'm sure whatever the school raises, they are gratefully happy

Robin - I'm sure once you get started with your Christmas shopping you'll get on a roll and get it done in one.

Today my girls wrapped all their presents up for their school friends and put them in nice gift bags, next they're going to tackle their Christmas Cards (I haven't even bought mine yet :rotfl: )

Have a lovely day everyone, and don't work too hard Robin

Mandy :)

Kelly ~ I find Clowns very freaky, and I hate seeing them in movies (though I tend to stay away from scary movies anyway). I can't say I've ever come across any clowns in WDW, I guess the nearest you'll get to any is if you are going to see Cirque du Soleil

BTW Kelly ~ I still haven't heard from Paula about the Christmas Card List, will you PM me with all their details please, thanks :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Glad to know I won't have to look over my shoulder at WDW!

I sent you a PM with Paula's info, let me know if that's what you are looking for or not!

Hope you guys are doing well :goodvibes

I had to remove pink nail polish from Randalls fingernails this morning! Also he drew a face on his pointer finger and thumb...that I couldn't scrub hard enough to get off. I told him to hide his hand for the picture.

This reminds me of Easter Sunday! My kids look like they had a paint war on their hands  :lmao:

Nov 11 my kids are having their pictures done with Santa.

That's not too far away! How cute

Aw... poor Robin! Congrats to Alex and :wizard: on finding an apartment! But you need a group hug :grouphug: !

A blizzard... YUCK! Not this soon! :sad2:

 YEAH on getting your RC docs! Couldn't have come at a better time, huh?! :thumbsup2

Well... I'm off for a moment to see if I can transfer a pic or 2 of Carolin's halftime cheer yesterday! She was soo far back and I'm not a great photographer... you'll see!

I'll be back! :goodvibes

Ooh I look forward to it

Thanks for Paula's details, I think I'll send out the Christmas Card list tomorrow

Mandy :)

Like I said... I'm not a professional :rotfl2: But here they are!

Carolincheersetup.jpg

Here they are setting her up for her first stunt

Carolincheer.jpg

Her big stunt, I don't know what it's called (Swedish Fish? :confused3 ) :lmao: She would kill me if she knew I posted her devilish eyes :rotfl:

CarolinCheerleader.jpg

I could never get a good shot of her, she was always too far away

ChadandAnthony.jpg

Big brother who kept giving her a hard time, so much love between the two

Thanks! :thumbsup2 I'm awfully proud of her, and Chad, too! They are sweet kids :goodvibes

Did you buy any new Disney Christmas ornaments this year?

When we were in WDW I bought a couple of decorations, one with Stitch sitting on a glass bell (from an outlet store), a Mickey Mouse one and a decoration that you can insert a christmas light behind so that it lights up.

When we have our shopping trip on Friday I am hoping that the Disney Store has some Christmas stuff in

I can't wait to put my tree up :thumbsup2

Cute kids, Kelly :goodvibes Just look how nice and straight Carolin has her leg. Looks very nice.

Busy day at work today. I don't know why there was so much to do but it took me all day to do it :confused3

Then I came home and finally cut the grass. Probably be the last time for this year. I'm thinking next year I'm going to hire someone to cut the grass and take care of the weeding and stuff. It's not that I can't do it myself or that I hate to do it, just don't seem to find the time nor the ambition. :p

Now I'm pooped :crazy2: and there's no dinner made yet :sad2: Alex of course is gone and Liz works until 7, just me and Rick, dont' know what we will have but we'll find something. I'm not particularly hungry anyways.

Be back later to see what's happening. :wave2:

Morning all :wave2:

Robin ~ It sounds like you had a busy day, I bet you slept well. I really must get round to cutting my lawn for the winter

Anyway have a great day everyone

Mandy :)

That sounds real cute  I agree! I can't wait to put my tree up either, every year I like to get more decorative with it! :lovestruc
