7th Heaven is Coming Back!!!!

I also read that the actors that play Ruthie and Simon only signed on for a partial season.

Also that the Dad will be trying to homeschool the twins.

I'm not really a fan, I used to watch just to see how campy/bad the plot line was. And the twins! Why can't the twins actually speak full sentances?

And I'm a just a bit bitter that Everwood was totally canceled.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how they try to move forward after the finale.

Ok, I can't find it on my local listing! 7th Heaven used to be on our local WB network, but 'Desire' is listed for tonight.

Edit: Nevermind, I found it on an obscure cable access channel. :confused3

Yay Im glad it is back, to bad I am never going to be able to see it as Monday is the day I have Water Polo practice.

I'm glad its back too. I heard that Ruthie and Simon will not be appearing this season (not sure how that will happen with Ruthie as she is still in HS and a minor, therefore needs her parents somewhat). I also heard that Annie will only be appearing rarely. I don't think the show will be too good this season with so many people gone, but who knows?

Was anyone else disappointed with the direction the show is heading. I watched it, hoping for some happy Camden love, but I was so sad when everyone seemed to be so unhappy. Lucy blames her family for the miscarriage. I thought Ruthie was going to Scotland for the summer, now it seems she will be there indefinately. Sandy blames Martin for her and Simon not working. Martin is giving up baseball...I don't know if 7th Heaven will stand up this season...I am sad. I loved it until the end of last season.

I read a couple of things saying that despite some depressing storylines there is going to be some really funny moments this season. Ruthie is in Scotland because the actress didn't want to come back for a full season. I actually thought the show was pretty good last night. I think Lucy's reaction was in keeping with her character. I don't really care one way or another about Martin and Sandy, but I guess they think they need peripheral characters to make up for the lack of Camden's.

Well, I hope it picks up. I do have to say the last 5 minutes of Lucy/Kevin were getting back to the "old" show. But, I still miss all the Camden kids. I may give it a few more tries before I write it off completely.

I do wish all the kids were still on, those darn actors just won't cooperate.

Did you hear why Simon left? I was under the impression at the end of last season they were saying that Sandy's baby was Simon's, or, at least that is what I took it to mean, now they are back to he is Martin's. Maybe I just misunderstood what it meant. I don't remember a paternity test, and I don't remember how long before she got pregnant that Simon slept with her. Hopefully the MIA kids will at least show up for guest appearances. And I am very thankful that as the kids have gotten older and decided to branch out that they haven't recast. It is great to see the old shows and still see all the same (younger) faces.

I thought that the show was originally cancelled because, with such a large cast, it was very expensive to produce. So now, in addition to Matt (and Sarah) and Mary (and Carlos), they've gotten rid of Simon and Ruthie. With a really stripped down/less expensive cast, they may think they can make it work financially for another season.

But they're going to kill Eric??????????? Why would they go and do that? I guess so no one else can ever pick up the series?

I missed about the first 12 minutes - I came in when Annie and Kevin were talking about flipping houses. Did I miss anything in the first 12 minutes? Were Ruthie and Simon even on the opening credits?

NO Ruthie or Simon on credits. Not even guest starring. Did you see Sandy coming home and Martin going off on her "date"?

Yeah, so last year, Sandy practically stalks Martin and now she doesn't want him around. (Martin really has a grown up look this year; looks like a man instead of a boy!)

I was really disappointed last night too. They DID spin the end of last season to imply that Sandy's baby was Simon's, but unless I missed something last night I think that they "un-spun" that, so that Martin is the baby's father. So 2 sets of twins were born (to Matt and Sarah & Mary & Carlos) but not even a glimpse of any of them? It would have been more exciting in my opinion to have Lucy being the mom of Savannah & twins. I was hoping they'd also go into the storyline too of how Lucy was asked to help build & run the home for unwed mothers. Oh well, I will give it a few more episodes, but I have to admit it's not going to be Must See TV for me anymore.

At the end of last season Lucy turned the home over to Annie. They did make reference to her "little mom's home" a few times. I am guessing that is what they talked about. They did mention Mary had girls, but, I didn't hear what Matt had.

They didn't actually get rid of Ruthie and Simon. The actors chose not to renew. I have heard that Ruthie will be in some episodes, however they only insert them into the opening credits when they are actually on. Also the Eric dying is only a maybe. The interview I read said he had a possible terminal condition, which sounds like it is also possible he will live.

I think Annie mentioned that Matt had boys.

It's a shame that the boys cast as Sam and David can't act their way out of a paper bag. hose two should have been sent somewhere this season. The show could have continued and evolved around them if they had any talent.

And for heaven's sake CUT THAT HAIR and become real boys!!!!!!!! The Little Lord Faulteroy look is very passe!!!!!!

I've have no expectations for this show this season.
