My DD's birthday will be during our upcoming trip. She's pretty much over the princesses so that took away a few options.

I was thinking maybe Teppan Edo since they cook in front of you or maybe the luau? Any suggestions for something a bit different?

My daughter's favorite was Coral Reef. She could have watched the fish all day, if she had her way.

Haven't heard the best reviews of the Luau, but HDDR seems to be a good time for all ages. Also, I know you said she isn't too into the princesses anymore, but 1900PF dinner is very entertaining with the stepsisters antics, if she hasn't been there before. Teppan Edo is a good idea as well, or if there is anything she is into, like eating at Coral Reef by the aquarium if she is interested in sea animals.

You could always take her to Whispering Canyon and have her ask for ketchup. Little ones really seem to enjoy the antics there. I made the mistake of asking for a 2nd diet coke about 5 minutes after the 1st. The waitress brought me a diet coke that was huge, easily 6 to 7 cokes in one jar.

Didn't try Teppan Edo but DGD (12 y/o) is now a full fledged fan of Tokyo Dining (we ate there twice at her request). I should point out that it's also a great place to watch the fireworks and you can see the event quite readily.
HHDR is always a good choice as well.

Like others have said HDDR is a lot of fun, Biergarden is entertaining. Teppan Edo the food is very good but it is very loud in there.

If she is into dancing, Raglan Road is great, but again it is loud in there, the best time to get a table with a view is around 4:30.

I would avoid the Aloha dinner show - it is not nearly as good as it once was. My kids have enjoyed both the Coral Reef and Teppan Edo. I wish we had done different shows like HDDR when they were young...

It really depends on her likes/personality. Does she like the entertainment or would she enjoy a "fancy" restaurant? If she's shy she may not like Whispering Canyon. My DD8's favorites are Ohana, Yachtsman and HDDR. I love the luau also, I think that's a great choice. Just have reasonable expectations, the food is just so-so.

Not sure the menu at HDDR would work for us but Raglan Rd might. She took some irish step dancing during school and dances around the house.

Thanks for the great suggestion!
