7DMT question

Heading up to MK next week for a couple of days mid-week, so hopefully crowds won't be so bad. Fast passes are already gone for 7DMT, as this was a last minute trip I just booked this morning. I'm trying to figure out what the best strategy for riding 7DMT without a fast pass would be.

How bad do you think the lines will be if I arrive in the Magic Kingdom around noon on Wednesday of this coming week? Should I head straight to that ride first, or do the lines lessen later in the day? Or should I plan on going to Magic Kingdom the following day and hit the ride first thing in the morning?

I only have experience in October, but it seemed like the line was pretty lengthy all day long. I would probably opt to arrive at the park for rope drop and then head straight to 7DMT or I would save it for the very end of the day and get in line right at closing (that's what I did; it still took 40 minutes, but at least I didn't lose "park time" to the line).

The lines have been long every time I've been there since opening. I would keep trying for the fast passes. I was able to successfully grab one day of two weeks ago.

I have an AP and I live near the park. I go several times a week. Getting a FP for 7DMT is not that difficult. Disney issues hundreds of FPs every day for that ride. People cancel all the time. If you attempt to get a FP and fail then don't give up, try again tomorrow. And keep on trying until you score one.

Another secret is to only try for the FP one at a time. You have a much better chance of scoring one than score multiple passes. Once you find one then keep on trying for another one. You won't be able to ride at the same time, but you will be able to ride it.

I agree to keep checking for a FP daily, they do pop up. Otherwise go right at RD. The line may get a wee bit shorter at night, but the ride isn't lit very well outside and I think it's more fun to ride when you can see the surroundings (but that's just my opinion). Have fun!!

I've been trying to get one for weeks, and today it popped up, but for much earlier in the day, when we won't be there. (We are going to MVMCP and arriving around 6, my FP is for 10:30 AM.)

Now that I got one, I'm going in to modify that FP to see if I can get a later time to suit my needs - my other two FPs are also set for early in the day so I do not tie up a possible 'good time'.

As it gets closer, and it appears I'm not going to get it, I'll release that time so someone else can get lucky and grab it.

Good luck.

Great advice!!!:wizard:

Just read on another site that more 7DMT FP+ were made available starting Dec. 4th. Try looking again to see if there's availability for your trip.
