7am Priorities

Edited: I posted this in the wrong thread but leaning if because it may help:

Just left today. We did 1 park per day and it was stupid crowded. We are primarily ride-people. Quick service restaurants and maybe 1-2 shows. Open to close. Our goal is to ride as many rides as we can. Here’s how it went for us:

Day 1 Epcot: no Genie+. We scored a boarding group for Remy at 7 am. Longest actual line we waited in was Frozen at about 50 minutes. We were able to ride every single ride and even Test Track twice. A couple shows. Even left early because we were tired and had done everything we wanted to. No regrets not getting Genie+for Epcot even with the crowds.

Day 2 Animal Kingdom: no Genie+ Longest wait was Flight of Passage of probably 45 minutes. We did every ride and a couple shows. Ride Dinosaur 4 times (daughters favorite) and Everest 4 times (my favorite). We saw all the animal exhibits and attractions. Again, no regrets on not getting genie+.

Day 3 Magic Kingdom: genie+ day. Rope dropped Seven Dwarves. Double stacked lightning lanes all day. Ride every single ride minus Dumbo (kids say babyish) and Splash (down all day). Lines were long on everything but we flew by with our carefully selected lightning lanes. Did Space Mountain on standby twice. Thunder mountain 3 times. We ran out of things to do by 5 or 6 and debated going back to the hotel but for the first time ever decided to camp out in front of the castle to have a prime spot for Enchantment. Worth it. Genie+ was definitely worth it.

Day 4 Hollywood Studios: genie+ day. Crazy crowded. Booked slinky at 7. Rope dropped rise and were probably among the first 200 people in line. It was down for a bit but we managed to get on and off by 9:10. We then selectively double stacked lightning lanes for the rest of the day. I refreshed the tip board over and over and scored great return times all day. Lines were insane (over 100 minutes for most every ride, rise 200 minutes) so we felt privileged to use the fast lane for everything but Mickey and minnies railroad which ended up about an hour wait. We rode every single attraction with Millenium Falcon and Star tours twice. We did 2 shows. And got back in line for Rise just before they closed. Posted wait of 195 minutes ended up to be 45. Genie+ Well worth it. We heard several people complain that they only managed to ride 2-3 rides all day while we rode 13.
I hope our experiences help!

Okay, if I may take over the thread on this topic real quick:

We are going for one day and it will be at Epcot, do not wish to buy fastpases/whatever they are called now.
Our priorities are Remy, Frozen, Test Track, Living w/the land, eating around at the holiday booths, holiday/anniversary treats, and maybe story tellers.
We won't be able to stay until closing because we have tickets for the Christmas party. Oh, this is 2 adults.

So, based on info in this thread we should do Remy boarding group at 7am, then Frozen for rope drop, then test-track, then do eating and such until dark then do The Land ride? Somewhere in there will be actually riding the Remy ride.
Also, the boarding group can be done at the hotel, right?

Yes to your plan. Although I would check thrill data to check on Frozen and Test Track wait times- I personally would probably switch those just to avoid walking back into future world after FrozeN. Sounds like a great day at WDW!

No I’m just shocked lol. Jungle cruise was only kinda cool at night and never seemed that busy.
Peter Pan yes always long line!!
Ugh I hate going from a WDW “expert” to complete newbie:scared::scared:
The problem at MK is that only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open for early morning opening at 8:30 (or whatever is 1/2 before park opening). The regular park open crowd gathers at the Adventureland entrance and fills up the line for Jungle Cruise right away. The line for Jungle Cruise stays long all day long, so it is hard for anyone who does the early opening to get to Jungle Cruise if they don't buy Genie+. We didn't buy Genie+ so we skipped JC.

Jungle cruise was a hot mess on Wednesday. When our LL time was 355-455 we still waited 30 minutes. The standby line was 120 and they announced twice while we were in line that standby was actually 120 minutes—it was like they were telling people don’t get in standby now!

So what is good for early entry.
Opp, prob not a question for this thread.
I figure trying to get Remy at Epcot at 7 but that's about all I'm getting up early for :)

I think 7 am is for Hollywood. Other parks are a little more relaxed in my opinion. Maybe that has changed for Epcot with the opening of Remy though.

OP I could have written that post! We go in 2 weeks and I've never felt so lost. We own DVC, go multiple times per year, have AP's nut I have no clue how to navigate Genie+.

I am not planning to buy Genie+ for our AK or Epcot days. I will try for a boarding group for Remy at park open (that is when they open boarding groups right??)

For DHS, we will rope drop either RotR AND buy a ILL$ so we can ride twice, and we will use Genie+ to try for Slinky Dog, and then stack ToT and RnRc and other stuff later.

Does this sound right??
