70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

SeaWorld seems to really go all out for Christmas. And the Christmas shows seem cute!

Your Santa Shamu is so cute! :goodvibes

Nothing's booked yet but I suppose I can give a big clue.

Mickey has a chatau elsewhere...;):rotfl:

Gotta be DLP! Right? I'm so excited for you!

Yeah there was alot more Christmas stuff than I was expecting. It's all managable in one night if you don't have little ones and are good a time planning quickly. I think we might have missed one or two shows but that was my own fault for not being able to read properly :rotfl:

Thank you. I thought he was to cute to leave behind

A+ for you to :) Nothing is booked yet as I'm still trying to decide on dates and figure out what's going on at the time plus still waiting for TA to check out the site I was looking at online to see if it's bonded.

Wow, I'm glad you decided to head to the show a little bit early. That would have been a disappointment if you had been waiting around to head over there and then didn't get in.

I was surprised how quickly that place filled up. There was a bit of a wait being there that early but the mime kept us entertained until showtime :)

Great update! We missed Sea World at Christmas time. Glad I got to see it through your pictures.

When you come back to FL you will need to check out Turtle Trek! It's very well done.

That santa whale is so cute. It would be hard to just walk past it!

I made two new blog posts.. Clickie I think I should just give in to the fact that my blog is not going to be about much other than disney and westlife lol!

No probs. There's loads more to come :)

Will def have to check it out. Won't get to Florida this year though.

He was. I was thinking about it all day as I went around and he needed to come home with me.

WOW, Sea World really has a lot to offer during the holidays! I think the Clyde and Seamore show would be fun and the mime again, I would go just to see him!

The Sea of Trees sound so neat. I like Christmas lights, so this is :thumbsup2 in my book!

The Christmas show is cute. They're running around trying to decorate the place to help the elf I think that was the general story anyway but the otter and mime are more involved. That otter is so cute and the mime is just the funniest!

I'll try put a video up of it when I get that far on the videos. I'm at discovery cove at the mo but i've hundreds of Seaworld pics and loads of video for that park so might take a while to get that far!

What a cute Christmas show. That's so cool that they put on a seasonal show and the night time lights and decorations are probably more spectacular than the day time decorations. I am definitely going to seaworld at Christmas. Thanks for sharing those pics.

I have heard of booking.com. Its a site over hear in the states too, but I've never used it. Saving 100 Euro sounds like a winner to me!

No probs. I've loads more to come. If you're going to Seaworld at Christmas check park hours before you go to judge what days the Christmas stuff is on. When we were there it was only friday, saturday and sunday and the park was open until 11pm so I just scheduled the Seaworld day for one of those days.

It actually worked out more than 100 euro I'm not sure how much but I decided not to go with booking.com for two reasons first not sure if it's bonded and if it's not and goes bust before I go I've no hotel :( second my TA got the same hotel cheaper :)

Angel has a special announcement...

He's going to France:
SAM_1822.jpg

Not the pavillon in Epcot the real France... More importantly he's going to Le Chateau de la Mickey... oh yeah and I'm going as well :cool1:
Booked flights yesterday and my TA booked the hotel today. I was going to use that booking.com site but my TA actually got the hotel for less so :cool1::cool1:

I'm going in November the week before my graduation so can't wait and will be going to Disneyland 3 days hopefully. Have to book the tickets for that. I'm not staying in a Disney hotel but in a Disney partner hotel so still close to the parks. It's going to be wet and cold but I can't wait to see my Mickey Mouse in 117 days and counting

To celebrate a new ticker have an trip report update

Day 10, part 6:
So when I left you we were wandering around the waterfront taking in all the Christmas decorations. We walked through the Christmas market looking at all the decorations and me taking lots of pictures:

Spot Shamu in the background of this pic:

There was even some Christmas Characters out to greet people. We met this dude but I looked back a while later and there was a penguin out:

There was even live music:

There were a lot of different cabins some selling decorations, some with carnival games and others with food. We decided to try some of the food as we hadn’t eaten in a while. I think Momma got tea and fries or some form of potato thing. I got an Italien Sausage:
SAM_2066.jpg

And a Christmassy cupcake:
SAM_2067.jpg

Take my advice though if you go don’t get food from the stalls none of it was nice. I think I threw half the sausage thing away and Momma ate half the cupcake!
Next we wandered over to Bayside Stadium
SAM_2070.jpg

And this is where we made our first mistake (because I can’t read the map properly.) We went to the early showing of Winter Wonderland on Ice which was silly because we could have gone to a different show here or done something else because if we wanted to see the fireworks later we would ahve to see this show twice because the fireworks were going to be on in the same stadium straight after the second showing but anyway it was good just not watch it twice when there’s other good shows if you know what I mean. Saying that looking at the map it would have been difficult to make all the shows away because they advise you to arrive at each show 45 minutes before and most shows were 30 mins long at least so kinda hard to do when one is at 8 and next is 8.30 lol! Anyways if the name didn’t give it away Winter Wonderland on Ice was a Christmas ice skating show:

After the show we headed up towards the polar express taking pics of course along the way:

SAM_2083.jpg

Here is where we made the second mistake Momma saw Shamu stadium and people going in and got over excited going quick they must be going in for last Shamu show quick so we went me not thinking at all what time it was and how it couldn’t possibly be last Shamu show so we struggled to find two seats together eventually did but they weren’t that great and we waited for the supposedly last Shamu show of the day. It was all lovely they had Christmassy music, kids on the screen talking about wishes and something about it brought a tear to the eye… or I’m a wuss for soppy things whichever:

They let the whales stay in the big pool after the show again as well:
SAM_2105.jpg

About half way through the show it was dawning on me that because of the time of the last show this couldn’t possibly be the last Shamu show so I took out the map and confirmed it wasn’t and because we were doing this were missing another show and there was nothing else on after this except Shamu again, Ice Skating show again and then the fireworks that we wanted to wait for. So what were we going to do….

Next up: Heading for the North Pole!

:jumping1:

YAY! I can not wait for that TR! I know I'll never go there, so will be a true treat!

OH! and then you throw in am update!

It looks like it was getting pretty late! How long of a day was it?

I hate to say it, but that sausage didn't look too good. Being from Wisconsin, I know a good brat when I see it!:lmao:

It's to celebrate :rotfl:

I think we got there shortly after opening which was 9am.. I'm going to guess and say we got there about 9.30 I know we went to first show of the day but I can't find the showtimes only the map.. I had them all together for trip report purposes. But the park didn't close until 11pm that night because of all the Christmas stuff... At this stage I'm up to about 8.30pm.

It wasn't. We just wanted to try some of the traditional christmas stuff.. I think Disney would have done better though :/ I'll certainly be sticking to Disney for cupcakes anyways lol

Congratulations on the new ticker!!!

I'm sorry you rushed to see the not last Shamu show of the day.

Congratulations on the new ticker!!!
Thanks. Now I get to study Paris for the next four months so I know as much as I can before I go :rotfl: I might practice my French to.. I did French in School only problem is we had to do Irish in school as well so now when I try to talk French it comes out French Irish so like tá mé ag dul go dtí (irish) le chateau de la Mickey avec Angel (french) :rotfl: see French Irish and a little bit of English! :rotfl:

Yeah that was a silly move really but still love Shamu

Look like y'all had a nice, full day @ SeaWorld! :thumbsup2

OMG! I'm so excited for you getting to go to DLP! PLEASE tell me you're going to do a TR with LOTS of pictures.

I took 3 years of French in high school and never even felt like I was close to the point that I'd be fluent enough to travel to a French speaking country. Now, 12 years removed from high school, I might be able to interpret a sentence that I read written in French if there's no time limit. :rotfl2::lmao:

I've never had a problem with confusing French for Irish though. :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:
