How was the Dog show, we couldn't fit it into our schedule. We had thought about it, but big dark clouds were headed our way and we left before it started.

Nice video!

I might have holiday news soon :upsidedow
and I made another trip report thingy

Day 10, part 4:

So when I left you I had just learned that my beloved manatees were not in Seaworld this year as their Seaworld home was being revamped but not to worry we decided to take our time and head over towards Shamu Stadium for the last non Christmas show of the day and of course I took pictures along the way:

We were super early for the show but decided just to hang out near the entrance until they opened it. While we were waiting we were quietly watching what was going on around us. There were ropes across each entrance to the stadium to close them off until show-time and this man decided to go under the rope into the stadium regardless. Then a member of Seaworld staff stopped him inside and asked him to leave he said he just wanted to “check out the seating layout” and refused to leave the stadium it took four Seaworld staff to get him to leave the stadium and then he stood at the entrance with the biggest sulk on his face ever. Momma and I were a little shocked by his behaviour. I was super excited about the show though because it was a new show. The last time we were there in 2010 they had Believe but they had changed the show because of the accident with the trainer and in 2011 it was a whole new show called One Ocean:

There’s also a small bit of trainer interaction back in but not in the water with the whales:
DSCF2771.jpg

I mentioned already that early in the day sticking with tradition I had bought the Seaworld Souvenir cup well during One Ocean I became determined to lose it. First I kicked it under the bleacher in front of me then I went to the bathroom after and it fell off the tissue dispenser and landed in the next toilet cubicle. Thankfully there was nobody else in there at the time so I washed it off and continued on my merry way!
After the show as well they left the whales swimming in the show tank. I guess this is because as we found out after the whale viewing area was blocked off for revamp as well but I got pics of the whales swimming after the show:
DSCF2772.jpg

I went to look for my rainbow then but unfortunately the weather was to dull for my rainbow to be out this year:
DSCF2774.jpg

We had time to kill before the next show so we just strolled around looking at the Christmas decorations and at the different shops along the way:

We stopped by the sharks along our way as well:

We continued on our way taking pictures as we went but now I had a mission in mind before the next show as I decided I wanted to bring a new friend home.

Next up: Seaworld’s Christmas Celebrations begin.

Sounds like y'all were having a nice, relaxed day.

That's so strange that the guy was so determined to check out the seating arrangement.

Can't wait to hear about this possible holiday news!

With Seaworld if you get there early enough and plan out from the start it can be quite a relaxed day but then we don't do any of the rides there either so possibly if you were trying to do those as well there'd be more rushing.

That's so strange that the guy was so determined to check out the seating arrangement.
He seemed to be trying to get into the stadium first to get whatever seats he wanted. I think if there had been no Seaworld staff there he would have stayed. Momma was laughing though because he actually sat in the Splash zone in the end and legged it when he got the first soaking after all of that like!

Can't wait to hear about this possible holiday news!
I'm waiting somewhat impatiently for my travel agent to get back to work :rotfl: We can't go to Florida because of finance issues after the masters this year but hoping something else works out. Just have to get prices checked and all that malarck

Those whales are such beautiful creatures.
I know I love Shamu :lovestruc

I love the way Seaworld is decorated for Christmas. All those Christmas trees in the pond look so cool.

I am embarrassed to admit that I have never been to Seaworld. I really need to remedy that. It really looks like such a cool place. I won't get there on my girl's trip, but I am definitely going there on my next trip with DH.

What's this about another holiday being planned? Did I read that right?

Those trees got cooler by night although they did look pretty cool in the day time as well

It's definately worth going to. Seaworld is one of my favourite parks

You did. It's not going to be to Florida but we'll see what happens once my travel agent gets back to work :rotfl:

BAAA excitment I can't talk about yet :/ My TA has one more thing to check and then I can give you all a hint at where I'm going :)

I just have to say it again, WOW to the Seaworld Christmas Decorations!

I am shocked by the guys behavior, too! I just don't understand people who do not follow rules or listen...4 people to get him to leave....:crazy2:

They really did have decorations like everywhere you looked at Seaworld as well. I was impressed.

Yeah they had to form a kind of human wall and back him out of the place. It was probably safety reasons mostly as well as respecting the rules because the whales normal pool seemed to be closed so the whales were swimming around in the stadium pool.

Are you possibly going to DL??! :scratchin

Loved the Whale show. It was just awesome to see those whales. You can't imagine them until you're there.
The baby had just be introduced when we had gone and it was soooo cute! It was doing what the mom was doing.

I love the whales as well. Sort of Spoiler but I've pictures of the baby later on in the day and my favourite whale pic later in the day as well.

has anyone ever had any experience of hotel price comparison sites. I'm looking at a site called booking.com and it's saving me 100 euro but I don't know whether to trust it if that makes sense. Anyone any opinions on them?

Also have an update:

Day 10, part 5:

So when I left you we were wandering around Seaworld killing time before the Christmas season shows started:
DSCF2796.jpg

DSCF2797.jpg

I say we were wandering Momma was following and I had a destination in mind because ever since I had been looking at some Christmas merchandise earlier I had been thinking of a certain whale in a Santa hat and had decided I wanted him. He was cuter than the normal whale plushies they have all the time so I was headed back towards the penguin area and Santa Shamu got adopted:
DSCF2745.jpg

We hung out by the fountain near the shop for a few minutes after deciding what to do next because we were to early to start queuing for the next show (we thought) but at the same time I was wary that there was only one of this show on this evening but while we were debating this out this dude came over to say hi:
DSCF2798.jpg

And random fountain pic just because it was beside us:
DSCF2799.jpg

We eventually decided since there was nothing else we wanted to do we would just go queue for the first Christmas show and boy am I glad we did. We must have got there at about 4.15 and there were already loads of people waiting even though the show wasn’t until 5. We had thought we’d head down and sit on a bench to relax or whatever wasn’t happening when we saw the crowd we got in the queue immediately. Apparently the rest of Seaworld had copped this was the only showing of this today as well. We were lucky enough though because we managed to get up close enough to the entrance rope and at about 4.45 the opened the rope and let everyone in. While we were waiting we were watching a group of five or six children behind us playing together and it was really cute none of the children knew each other before lining up. They were all different skin colours and different nationalities and yet all those little kids got on together like they were best friends forever they all had a few games of ring a rosie before they had to go back to their families to enter the stadium. Anyways enough talk what show are we going to… Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas. I should also say that at about 5 to 5 they closed the ropes because the stadium was full so if you weren't there early you weren't getting in to that show. Anyways on with the pictures:

SAM_2015.jpg

And I was super excited because my favourite mime was back out for this show. He was funny he took a little girl out of the audience and got her to hold cue cards up and then he had a sing song with the audience while he conducted:
SAM_2018.jpg

SAM_2017.jpg

The best one was that song “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” You know how everyone knows that line and none of the others yeah well apparently the rest of the words are just “blah blah blah blah blah blah it’s the most wonderful time of the year” because that’s what the mime’s cue card said! Clyde and Seamore’s Christmas show didn’t fail to disappoint on the funny side either. It had everything from an elf to Santa:

After that we headed towards the waterfront where people were already picking their spots for the Sea of Trees show. We went down some little steps beside the Spice Mill Café and found a little seating place that not many seemed to have copped yet and waited for the show there. Sea of Trees is probably a bit like Osbourne lights in a way. All those shiny trees on the water that I posted before have lights on them and they all dance and change in time to music. It’s quite impressive:

SAM_2035.jpg

After the show we headed along the Waterfront towards the Christmas market they had taking pics along the way.

They had snow flurries every so often as well the picture won't work for some reason but anyways.
I don’t think I’ve seen a lot of white poinsettias:
