7 year old daughter

any suggestions for a wii, ds or board game for a 7yr old girl? dd5 turns six in January and I always like to get them a game or two for the holidays and birthday. We have tons of regular board games in our house, but I was looking for something that little girls love. She adores playing Jenga, and we have the pink one, but any other ideas would be welcome!

Also, I have ds and wii games picked out for her brother, but I'd love to hear about any video games your little girls love!

My DD seems to spend the most time playing with either her Wizards of Waverly Place game or one of the Tinkerbell games (she has both the one that came out along with the first movie and the most recent one). None of those games require a lot of reading and once we had gone thru them a couple of times reading the instructions to her, she didn't need anymore help. She has the Hannah Montana Movie game but her interest in it didn't last long. She got to a certain point where Hannah got stuck in her bus and we couldn't get her out.:confused3 We tried several times and never could figure out what the problem was so DD lost interest. (Okay with me - I'd just as soon she found another role model anyway.) She also has the AG Kit game and loves it but it requires a lot of reading. And the Disney Princess game for DS but she seldom plays it so I don't think it was a very good one. For Christmas she wants the newest Harry Potter game for the DS and the Barbie fashion design game.

WOW!! My kids would love to do Christmas at your houses!! No Kidding, Mine Too!!!

You all are dropping a chunk of change on AG! DD has Julie & Emily, Kit's bed, Julie's locker and a ton of accessories and clothes, but she has collected them over the past 4 years.

Where's this recession everyone is talking about?! Oh it's out there, but not everywhere. I know we have buckled way down and many of our friends have too. I'd love to go crazy and get my kids what they are asking for and a few years back I woudl have without a second thought, but it's so scary out there we are being way more careful. THANKS to the DISSERS for ending it!!:rotfl::banana::worship::banana::rotfl:

Recession or not, here's hoping everyone enjoys a wonderful Christmas season.

DD8 wants a Snuggie too....but what I find even more hilarious is that she seriously seriously wants the Touch and Brush. She has been bugging me for probably a year about this stinking thing. Last night a commercial came on for it and she said Mom, I really really want a Touch and Brush for Christmas!! She said it with such enthusiasm...it was so funny.

OMG! My DD8 wants the Touch and Brush too! I saw it in Wal-Mart in the "As Seen on TV section" but it was still $20.

She wants a Snuggie....but for the dog. :rolleyes1

Oh that dog in the Snuggie commercial, the kids crack up every time they see it. :rotfl:

A few Christmases ago, all my DD (who was about 7 at the time) wanted was The Clapper. :confused3 She got it but tired of it quickly when she realized you had to clap so hard it hurt to get it to work. Same kid this year wants the Touch and Brush too. The power in advertising.

DD8 spends most of her time playing Animal Crossing, Littlest Pet Shop, and Mario Cart for the Wii. No DS, but the G-parents are getting her one for Christmas.

From TRU's B2G1 free sale, I picked up Lego Indiana Jones, Summer Sports 2, and MySims Kingdom. We will both play those games.

Board games...we love playing Life, Sorry, Scrabble, and more recently, backgammon. She also likes playing Disney Scene It, especially now that she can easily read the trivia cards to me. Two years ago we would always have to wait to play until my BF came over because she couldn't read the cards as well. She wants Monopoly for Christmas. DD will be 9 in May, but I've always gotten her games that were a bit above her age.

I feel so out of it, My 6 year old doesn't even know what AG dolls are. She still loves Dora

My kids only know of them because of their cousins have tons of them. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been exposed to them.

UM...we're getting them DISNEY!! going in feb...

they get one larger item from santa normally and one from us..then smaller items..we went overboard last year..and it was a huge disaster...it was TOO much...

we'd love to keep giving them disney from us yearly..clutter free and FUN!!

this will be our first trip...we're in ontario..

When DD was 7 she fell in love with the Muppets (from seeing Muppets 3-d)

We bought her the seasons on DVD and she still watches them all the time! Its something I dont get bored with when I watch it with her, I remember them from when I was her age.

I thought my DD was the only one asking for the Touch and Brush! Luckily, I know someone who has an "As Seen on TV" franchise, so I can get it for cost. I hate to pay full retail for that kind of stuff.

My daughter just asked for the Touch and Brush too! I thought it was too funny.

My girls (and me too) love playing the Carnival Game for wii. Its so fun. We just got wii Resort too before our stupid wii broke, and we all liked that. Its a great family game.

I know I buy to much, but they only get stuff on Christmas and birthdays. I remember awhile back I let them pick anything they wanted from the dollar tree and you would have thought I have them a shopping spree to Toys R Us. They were so excited! :rotfl:
