My thoughts are already turning to next years cruise plans . We are considering a 7 night cruise on the Fantasy. My question is East or West? And Why? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences on the best itinerary!

I've only done the Eastern but really enjoyed the ports and liked that there were 3 sea days.

I have only done the western, but would love the idea of 3 sea days on the eastern. The sea days were so relaxing that have 3 instead of 2 would be great!

Some of the westerns do have 3 sea days. I would choose whichever cruise ports you haven't done before.

While we enjoyed both cruises, the eastern would be our hands down choice. The ports are more scenic and come across as nicer. We've been to the western a couple times and would be ok staying in the boat for a couple stops
You can't go wrong though!!

We're doing an Eastern because we've been to Mexico and Jamaica. For me, since you can get great deals on all-inclusive resorts at both of those places it doesn't seem as interesting of a cruise destination.

If you'd never be interested in a resort vacation in Mexico, then maybe do the cruise so that you can see the Mayan ruins and culture - it's very cool.

We went Eastern last year, this year we are trying Western. I think we will like both.

I like both east and west ports but prefer the 3 sea days on the Eastern. As mentioned some westerns have 3 sea days.

Love them all!!!

MJ

We did the Eastern in September and loved it so much we are doing it again next May. The ports are more appealing to us than the Western.

Sounds like I can't go wrong! We sail on the Dream in just under a month so plan to try booking whilst onboard !

The Fantasy could do circles in the ocean for a week and then return to PC and I'd be happier than ever, so I vote as many sea days as you can stand.

We did the Eastern, because I wanted the extra sea day even though it included a port I'd already visited on my own (as opposed to Western, which would have been all new ports). The sea days turned out to be our favorite days by far, and I loved the Eastern for that!

sorry to hijack this thread, but we have the same question. we are not hugely into shopping or hanging out at the beach all day, and DS and DD will be 10 and 6 by the time we take this cruise.

would folks still recommend eastern as opposed to western? swimming with the dolphins or rays is something we would be very interested in.
