St Thomas I would say Coral World, either with or without DCL tour, like seaworld, or Maagens beach break, St Maarten the Butterfly farm tour and Island tour would be nice

Coral world is good for kids and not a long trip leaving your options open later in the day, the long island tours might be hot and uncomfortable for a young child

Thank you Andrew DEREK UK:flower3:
Yes, I agree.... I don't want to be gone too long.....my DD is pretty mellow, but she could have a "meltdown" if she is too hot and uncomfortable, something that I want to avoid at all costs!!!!:rotfl:

When my son was we did a Western cruise, we kept it short each port day as in the heat he went to sleep, Key West we did a tram tour and he was asleep half way around, Cayman we did stingray city and Turtle farm he loved that, and Cozumel Dolphins.

I found at that age they love anything to do with Animals, Sea-life, etc, and its not good to lay them in the Sun all day either on a beach, -and you have a beach at Castaway.

So thats why I went for those recommendations.

Excellent, you are right.....she'll probably be miserable if we go to the beach all day at both stops....Castaway Key should be enough, I sometimes forget how hot it can get out there.....great advice:yay:

We had a great day at St. Thomas doing Coki Beach in the a.m., grabbing a quick lunch and then walking over to Coral World next door in the afternoon.

The kids loved feeding the beautiful fish at the beach w/ dog biscuits. They sell them to you right at the beach. It was a nice relaxing day and just right for our 5 yr old dd.

We did this on our own- not through DCL- It was very easy to do and alot less $$$$.

Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

Several years ago I did the Coral World/Coki Beach combo on my own with my two DD's, too.

We grabbed an open air type bus which took us up there. It was quite a scenic ride. There were plenty available to take us back to the ship when we were ready. We toured Coral World first and enjoyed everything there. We ate lunch there and then went to the rest rooms to change into our beach gear.

Headed next door to Coki Beach where we rented some beach chairs. My girls were impressed with the waitstaff working the beach and offering us "free samples" of their various drink concoctions.

The beach was clean, the water clear and plenty of fish to view there too. All in all it was a great self-excursion.

With my kids who were 3yo and 6 months on our Eastern cruise, we did the Coral World and Island Tour in St. Thomas and the Butterfly Farm and Island Tour in St. Maarten.
