Hi everyone:wave2:.....just wondering and interested in hearing your thoughts :surfweb:.

I just booked a babymoon in May 2016 I'll be 7 months prego. Thank god I'm having a healthy pregnancy so I have no restrictions (as of today). It will be just myself and my husband.

Do any of my fellow diser's have any good tips for a enjoyable vacation in WDW while being 7 months pregnant?

There is a list of rides you can't go on. I guess try and avoid the crowds and take multiple rests if needed. Maybe enjoy the pool. Perhaps you can take a day trip to relax at the beach?

I've never heard 'baby moon' to describe a vacation whilst pregnant. I've heard it used for the period of time after one has a baby (like a honeymoon is after a wedding) to relax, restore and recover.

Anyhow...I went to Disney whilst pregnant a few times. I tried to stay hydrated and take it easy. There were lots of rides that were off limits, but it was nice to just walk around. I felt really bloated while there - likely being out of my home environment, salty foods, and such.

I made sure my health insurance would cover me in the case of an early birth or complications. Doable, but I was pretty toast by the end of the trip.

OooO its going to be hot. So take lots of water and shoes that can adjust to swelling heat. Have a great time!

A "babymoon" is definitely the period before the baby is born. Not sure if the above was a "Freudian slip" or not, but it'll definitely cost more bread now.

We took a trip last month and I was 6 months at the time. I packed healthy snacks with me everyday since I can't go long in between meals or eat large quantities at a time- my stomach just doesn't handle it pregnant. I took 100 calorie packs of unsalted nuts, breakfast bars, fruit, etc so I didn't have to eat a fatty, salty Disney snack when I became hungry. I still enjoyed my Mickey bars and Dole whips, but didn't want to overdo it. Also, I did a lot of sitting. We usually go pretty hard when we go to Disney, but this trip I made sure to sit, relax, and put my feet up whenever I could. Think about packing an extra pillow, too. You'll only have 2 people in your room so it shouldn't be too much of an issue for you, but we had 4 and I was really missing my body pillow from home. Drink lots of water and don't push yourself too much.

No, no, you've got it all wrong.

After the "we're pregnant" party, the "it's a human" party, the gender reveal party, the "we chose a name" party and the baby shower, comes the babymoon. This trip is largely used for "celebrating life before baby," i.e. trying to make your friends jealous on Instagram. That is, if they didn't unfollow you after the third set of maternity photos.

After the baby is born, one must then receive a "push present." No, the present is not the bundle of joy, but a luxury item. Post-childbirth pain is greatly relieved by handbags & jewelry.

If one runs out of funds somewhere between the "baby has four limbs" party & the "we're coming home! Baby Shower Part Two: Electric Boogaloo," it is customary to panhandle on GoFundMe.

Take it reallllyyyyyyyy easy. I wouldn't have any set plans. Being pregnant in Disney is just plain tough, and it is worse in the heat. Enjoy the time by the pool and maybe tour the parks only in the AM and evenings. The afternoons can be just brutal!

Since it will just be you and DH, there won't be any pressure to hurry or do everything, so just relax and enjoy the experience of being there. I went while 7 months preggo, in the summer, with a group of 5 adults and 4 kids. Not gonna lie, it was rough! But focus on enjoying the shows, and take every opportunity you can to SIT! Don't be ashamed to get a wheelchair if you feel you need it. Refusing that was probably my biggest regret after that trip.

Oh, and get lots of character photos - many of them will get excited and give you extra attention for your special cargo :)

Congrats! I went with my sister on her trip right before she had her baby and we did a lot of shopping for baby. We also went to all the face characters we could find and recorded them welcoming my nephew to the world. We had all characters sign a wooden letter that was the first letter of his name. We didn't do a ton of rides but took things slow and did a lot of pool time. I think we took the time to see all the shows and we went around the world showcase and did one of the Duffy bear fans and had every representative at the kidcot checkin stations write her baby's name and welcome in the different languages. I honestly think the thing that made my sister the happiest was making sure we took a nap every day and that I didn't judge her for indulging in some really weird Disney snack craving combinations.

I went to the parks a number of years ago while we were at WDW for a conference (yes, we played hooky) with a co-worker we was 6-7 months pregnant at the time. What I remember most about the experience is the bathroom lines... people were always so kind to her by offering to let her go in front of them so she didn't have to wait too long. Almost every time, and believe me, we were stopping at every bathroom she saw :D

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I took DD to WDW when she was between 7-8 months along... We went in September and it was hot hot hot!
But we had a great time! We made ADRs for a nice lunch each day (in the cool A/C), and went back to our resort (SOG that time) for pool and massage time. (They used to have massages set up right at poolside - THAT was wonderful!). After relaxing we would go back for a late dinner and evening shows/parades. It was a lovely trip, and we had a great time!
If you plan your breaks and go at an easy pace you will have a wonderful time!
I envy you, when I was young and pregnant, there was no such thing as a "babymoon". I absolutely love the concept and I believe it will give you and DH some cherished memories!
Do things you might not have done on previous visits... Stop at Harmony Barber Shop and get pixie dust sprinkled in your hair, get a couples massage or just a pregnancy massage, do a carriage ride, walk the boardwalk. Just relax and have fun!

People watch, hang by the pool, go to dinner shows, Jellyrolls, Yehaa Bob, Cirque, California Grill at Wishes time, Ferry Tale DP, Narcoossee's DP, Symphony DP, Wishes DP.

We went in May for our baby moon back in 2014! We did lots of shooing for the baby! We got ears with her name engraved ( and used that as our hey I'm pregnant and having a girl photo on fb) We also spent a lot more time in the pool. Lots of photos - I suggest photopass. Good meals- enjoy nice long relaxing dinners (while they last!)

Just going off of my sisters experiences when we went 2 years ago, she was 5 1/2 months pregnant. She had a great time, and we went in November so the weather was really nice and not too hot. She went on a lot more rides than she thought she could - of course staying off of the things like ToT, RnRC, Dinosaur, Space Mt, BTMR, 7DMT, and Splash. Just don't try to over do it. Take it easy, take breaks midday. Her ankles were really swollen by the end of the trip and we took breaks each day. She was very tired, so I would stay at the parks at night, while she went back to resort a little earlier to rest her feet and get a good sleep. Have a great trip!
