When I book DVC at the 7 month window

I booked an OKW 1 bedroom for early/mid May at the 7 month mark the past 3 years, no problem. Last year I called on the first day to see what availability looked like to see if I needed to do a day by day, member services said it was wide open.

I'm not sure how to vote. We always get what we want, even at the 7-month mark and I am not usually flexible with dates or accomodations. But I have had to go on a waitlist twice, with both coming through. So I don't always get my reservation right when I call. But the waitlist has always worked for us. Even when we went in early December we got BWV from the waitlist. And I hadn't even called until 2 months out! I must be spoiled! I always get what I want, one way or another.

We have also had good succes with the waitlist. Within a week of being on it, the nights came through. This happened twice for us trying to get into WLV for the second week of December and January 1, 2, and 3.

When we had to use the 7 month window I never had high expectations or a long request list, only must was non smoking. I just wanted a room! We bought an add on at BWV so now no 7 month limit at our two favorites, OKW and BWV.

We've never had a problem making ressies at the 7 month window. We own at VB and have booked BWV, BCV, VWL, OKW and VB all within 7 months without waitlist and always get the days we want. We've booked in April, July, August and September. The only snag is we had to get a preferred view at BWV this August, no standard available. I didn't want to fool around with the waitlist so I just took the preferred.

Same here, own at VB and have only made two reservations, last year at VWL and this year BCV. Was willing to be flexible. Got what we wanted. We're going in Oct, same as last year.
