Is it difficult to get in to BWV at the 7 month window for October during F&W Festival for a 2-bedroom unit? I know it's nearly impossible to get a studio and hard to get a one-bedroom but is it still very difficult to get a 2-bedroom?

Any advice or past experience would be appreciated,
Suzanne

I've been trying the past two years to get a room at the BWV during the first week of December (always calling on that 7 month day) and never had any luck. No complaining, we're at the BCV, just would like a change of scenery.
keeping our fingers crossed for this year, but no luck yet.

One bedrooms are easier than two bedrooms. All two bedrooms are lock offs at BWV. So if the studios are tough to get because so many are booked, that doesn't leave as many two bedrooms for reserving.

What is a lock off 2 bedroom? I keep hearing about 2 bedrooms and than 2 bedroom lock off rooms and would like to know the difference between the 2.

Lock off is a 1 BR with a door to an attached studio.

Can you request a lock off 2 bedroom or is just asking when you check into the villas?

All two bedrooms at BWV are lockoffs - you can't help but get one.

At other resorts where there are combinations of lockoffs and dedicateds, its a booking category - you book a lockoff or a dedicated.

It is always POSSIBLE to get a room anywhere at seven months. People have reported some unlikely reservations (someone got a standard view at seven months at BWV during F&W this year - that was really unlikely to be available). However, BWV during Food and Wine is very popular. Preferred views are much more likely than standard views or Boardwalk Views and calling right at seven months for any unit will be important. Never hurts to call, but having a backup reservation in your pocket might be a good idea.

We tried this year for Oct. at BWV right at 7 months but did not have any luck. We didn't bother with the waitlist, so I don't know whether that would have worked. We also tried in 2006 without luck.

I don't think you really know if you can until you try and waitlist. We've stayed many times at resorts other than our home resort without too much trouble....even booking on short notice for early December. It took a couple of calls...I think I hung up to decide whether or not to waitlist and when I called back to waitlist the rooms were magically available.

Epcot area resorts are really popular during F&W, but you never know until you try!
