7 month window at Vero in June??

We are thinking of going to Vero Beach in June of 2008 (never hurts to begin planning early right?). Since our home resort is SSR, I cannot book until 7 months out. Will that be difficult to get? I am happy with either a studio or one bedroom, we will have the points for a one bedroom but a studio is fine if those go quickly.

TIA, I just think a nice relaxing beach vacation might be better than WDW in the summer that year.

Just a guess...but I think that would be fairly easy to get at the seven month window. It is not premier time at Vero and that is a good indication of availability.

I booked for this June (2 - 5) at 7 months - asked for and got OVInn room - I called day-by-day just in case, but didn't seem to be a problem.

We also booked VB for June at 7 months, got my first choice (OVIR) and did not have to do day-by-day. I don't think it's a problem at this point in time, BUT as more DVC-area resorts and members enter the system, there will still only be one VB and it may become more difficult to get in the future.

I got a one bedroom for the second week of June 2007 at the 7 month window. Didn't even call day by day.

Yep, We've booked in June a couple times at 7 mos. w/o problem.

That's into the summer season at VB. We got a 2BR for early August last summer, I did book it day by day just to be safe.

That stated, don't assume the resort will be quiet if you visit during the summer. It's jammed with cash clients who append a brief VB stay before or after a WDW trip. Resort was completely full when we were there.

Two bedrooms are the hardest to come by at the 7 month window in the summer. If you call day-by-day you should be good. If you're looking for something less than a 2 brm you shouldn't have a problem at all.

Thanks everyone! As long as I get a room I am okay with a jammed beach resort its jammed WDW parks and resorts in June that does not appeal to me . Its good to know that based on the experiences I am seeing here we should be fine. Thanks again!

Book at the 7 month window!! I was in the hospital at the 7 month window on bedrest. I was concerned with my unborn child and not thinking of my vacation. I tried to book at 6 months and no luck. We tried for a 2 and 1 bedroom and NOTHING!!!! I shouldn't say nothing I did get 2 nights but thats it! We have spent 1-2 weeks at VB either in June or August for the ast 8 years but this year 2 nights.

I was able to get us a 1 bedroom for June 24-27, 2007 at the 7 month window. I didn't call day-by-day but 7 months from check out day and had no problem. I did try to change this reservation to a 2 bedroom about a month ago because my sister and brother-in-law were thinking of joining us but there were no longer any 2 bedrooms available however there were still ocean view and garden view inn rooms available and this was near the 6 month window. Good luck!

I have booked OVIR 4 weeks out for February! Luck of the draw probably. My point is that you will probably have little issue getting your request in June.
