7 Month Inventory?

Are there ever non-home resorts available at 7 months out other than OKW and maybe SSR? Each time I consider trying something new (since buying DVC in 2009), I am never able to get anything at 7 months out. Is any new inventory added later or is it pretty much what you see is what you get? I am 10 months out and most of the resorts have no availability for early December. (yes, I realize that is the most popular time for DVC members)

I recently booked BLT a little over 6 months out for late July. I had my choice of BWV, BLT, WL, and AKL.

When you say NO availability for early Dec are your dates flexible? I see full availability at some resorts and lots of partial with waitlist potential or split stay potential the week starting 12/4 is tight but has avail. The following week has greater avail. New Inventory is not added (as far as I know for existing resorts), but plans change and availability can change. We've been member since 1999 and have stayed at BWV (our home resort), and BLT, VGF, OKW, SSR, BCV, AKL, we have not stayed at WL but it has been available for us. We have stayed at XMAS, early Dec, Flower and Garden, Easter and Summer. Sometimes we have had to waitlist part of the stay or we have done split stays.

Not to come off snide - but it looks to me like the OP has a situation of "why can't I get into the most popular resort and most popular room category at the most popular time of year at seven months"...and I'm afraid you pretty much answered your own question.

My survey of resorts is that you can pretty much get into ANY DVC resort (except VGF) between Jan-Sept at 7-months, as long as you are flexible with room category. The only exception being a few particular dates (2-3 days around the Princess 1/2 marathon in Febuary were almost completely booked before 7 months). I am still working on filling out the last few months of the year, so I can't say for sure there, but most of the year there are quite a few options at the 7-month mark. Many of these disappear rapidly within even a few days/weeks, but right at 7 months there is generally a LOT of choices even for a studio. Just NOT the VGF.
