7 Month - Call each day ?'s

I want to change from SSR to BCV, the 7 month window opens April 11th. I think the best way to do it is call each day from Apr 11th to Apr 18th. Each day i call and switch a night from SSR to BCV, do they send me a new confirmation in the mail EACH time i call?? Should i tell them in the first phone call that this is my plan, so they know i am going to do it each day? Just want some info and help, as i have never done this before, thanks so much

When you call MS, tell them you are doing a "day-by-day". MS will probably ask you for your intended total days. As you call each day, your reservation will be held by them until you are either finished getting your dates, or until the maximum number of those dates can be reserved. At that time, your complete reservation will be sent to you.

I switched over to BWV at the 7-month window and they sent me separate confirmations for each call. Mine worked out to be only 2 separate letters since I called on March 1st and booked Sept 28th-30th (since Feb is short) and then called on March 2nd to book our last night on Oct 1st. But I think they would have to send letters for each call just in case you didn't get all the nights you wanted and had to be waitlisted. When I booked those first few nights of our trip, we kept the ressie for our last night at SSR (home) until I called the next day, just in case we couldn't switch over to BWV. A split-stay is better than no stay!

I currently have reservations at SSR, but want to keep the reservations just in case I don't get all my days at BCV, so can I make my reservations day by at at BCV, if I get all my days then cancel my reservation at SSR and those points from SSR will be put back into my 2007 points? I used my 2006 points to make the SSR reservation but when I book BCV I will be using 2007 points, please let me know how this works.

It depends on what use year your vacation is in as that affects things.

If it's in your 2007 UY then that means you used banked 2006 points for your SSR reservation. In that case, if you get all your BCV days, then when you cancel your SSR reservation, ask them to reallocate those 2006 UY points to your BCV reservation. This then returns your 2007 points.

If instead the reservation is in your 2006 UY, then you used regular 2006 use year points and borrowed 2007 use year points. If you're still within appropriate banking deadlines, then you want to leave the borrowed 2007 UY points for the BCV reservation, and bank your 2006 points that are returned.
