I took the tour last Feb and thought it was excellent and worth the price. With only a few exceptions(like Utilidors), there was no overlap with any of the other tours. This was my biggest concern as I have taken almost every tour offered in all the parks. You get to go to places that are not part of any other tour like central services that is like a huge maintainence and repair shop.(you can see ride cars, animatronics, new projects and assorted stuff being worked on) We went under the American Experience attraction at epcot to see how it works. The laundry was even interesting! If you go after they take down the Xmas decorations, you go into a very large warehouse where they store it all(after they go through everything first) It mind boggling all they have in there including rows and rows of brand new items as spares. We had what seemed like a 5 course meal at Mama Melrose for lunch.
There are too many other sights and interesting trivia to list but I would pay to do it again someday. My only complaints were that first, other than lunch, we didnt spend more than 20 min at MGM and didnt go backstage of any attractions. Second, the tour doesnt take you to Animal Kingdom. When asked, The CM said they dont because of individual AK tours offered. That still doent make any sense to me, as so does MK and EPCOT. AS with any tour, the CM makes a big difference in its outcome. Ours was excellent(sorry, cant remember her name, maybe Nancy?) She had a ton of interesting trivia for us which made the bus ride(a tour dedicated cruise line bus) between stops fun as well. She used her job and that of her son as examples, when answering the thousands of questions asked her(and a few from other people!) about what goes on backstage in the life of a Disney CM.
I'm starting to ramble, so I hopes this helped!
