7 flights, 6 hotels, 1 cruise ship and a major stuff up...brace yourself UPDATE!

bec have you seen the new blog from the dis with the radiator springs racers POV and hints for fastpasses...they are anticipating ride queues to be between 2 - 2.5 hours (without fastpasses) and possibly up to 3 - 3.5 if they have to extend it... they also say that there are no bathrooms nearby or water fountains, so might not hurt to have a pit stop before you get in line :) although, in disney fashion, they do have snack sellers walking the line, selling snacks to people :)

we're hoping that it won't be as busy in december when we're there, but i really can't wait to hear all about it in your TR when you get back !!! yay for being at the 3 month mark :)

Yeah, I read it this morning, 2.5 hours :scared1:
Hoping we'll get in as soon as it opens and i'll send DH for a run
If we can't get on it in the two days that we're there i'll have to plan another trip

lol. yeah. when i read that, i turned to carlo and was like 'you know how some people go to disneyland at rope drop and run for anklebiter land to make sure they get there before the lines get huge?' .. well that's gonna be us, except we'll be at DCA and we'll run for radiator springs, grab fastpasses then get right in line :)

i just hope that radiator springs rides are gonna be fine for the more pooh shaped ones of us - namely me :(

And me girlfriend ;)

My DH will be running though.

I'm hitting a high protein, low sugar (no chocolate) diet for now until we go, if I can drop 10kg i'll be happy :goodvibes

Just watched 60Minutes and they had a thing on about how sugar is an addiction...um yep, it's my drug of choice :upsidedow

:scared1:2.5 hours is insane and we are there the week the AP's open back up:scared1:
:rolleyes1 I might of already convinced DH it was worth staying onsite for this benefit I think the thought of 2.5 hour line ups will make it happen;)

I was sort of wishing we were staying onsite, that was our original plan before all of our plans changed LOL with NYC and 10 nights at DW I had to draw the line somewhere, 4 nights at Grand Cali would be the same as 4 nights in NYC.
I was showing the boys the new pics of Cali Adventure last night, so many changes since we were there last, and I'm
already in my head making plans for our next trip, although I already know our next trip won't be as big as this one, it may be another West Coast only, my DH is still to get to San Francisco.

lol. i watched the same thing - i am also today starting a high protein, low fat, low carb, low sugar (yup, taking away all the good stuff) diet. i don't care about kg so much as inches... i want to reduce my waist and hips by a fair few inches :)

Another trip is always a good thing:thumbsup2
I am trying to justify the extra money of staying at DL and I want to but now I am thinking about the extra Disney stuff I could bring home with that money:confused3 I think I think way to much:rotfl2:
2 rooms by 4 nights is :scared1::scared1: I think I will just keep hoping for a discount or a magical pin:goodvibes

Good morning everybody!

Well, i've been awake since 5:50am although I couldn't drag myself out of bed to do some exercise I already don't feel so lethargic after starting a more healthy eating plan and no sugar (coke).
I did a small workout last night and I am very unfit, but I figure it's a start, even 30 mins a night is better than the none i've been doing for months.
And I get my new runners next week (bought online yesterday and currently in Kentucky as the tracker says).

DH bought a bucket (i'm not kidding, it's a bucket) of protein powder last week, which can be used as a snack replacement and it's actually not bad, tastes like chocolate :joker:

Has my DS doing pushups and situps on the floor with me (he's strong for a little fella), and will be getting a punch/kick bag to add to the home gym (will help DS also develop some confidence so hopefully won't be picked on at school.

So this is the start!

12ish weeks to go!

I hope something great happens in all your days today!

can i join you in your getting fit challenge? i also need to give up the soft drink (coke zero has less calories than water, so i'm thinking of giving that a go instead of the regular stuff) and my healthy eating plans starts on saturday (after my birthday dinner on friday :)). i too have been doing little work outs on my exercise bike and would really love the motivation of having someone else keep me honest :)

yep...count me in

although have just discovered the 40% choc chip cookies at ALDI:wave2:

Absolutely! We'll check in daily, the more the merrier! (should we start another thread?)

So, day two of exercise, situps :scared1: pushups 2X:scared1:
My muscles in my arms are tight though (still there somewhere :rolleyes1)
Bacon & eggs for breakfast
Quiche for lunch (homemade) and fish and salad for dinner followed by 35 minutes of exercise and then a protein shake straight down the throat.
