7 flights, 6 hotels, 1 cruise ship and a major stuff up...brace yourself UPDATE!

My FC agent said that either the airline will offer you a "fast pass" card or you ask for one, to expediate your transfer to the next flight. :confused3

i agree, 2 hrs can be tight, especially when customs take FOREVER......but you'll do it, just be prepared to board the aircraft nearly last with no overhead space....

as for ALDI........saves us a fortune and the food is great...slow cooker has been given a work out this weekend..yummo....

and I feel a tad nervous about doing DLR after WDW........we love WDW and havent done DLR since the 1980's...so i feel your apprehension...

I know it's going to be different, probably alot different  so we just don't know what to expect at all.

DL will always hold a special place in my heart :cloud9:
We're stopping there for 2 days on the way home because we just couldn't go all that way and not visit, the feeling I get when I walk down DL Mainstreet is indescribable. I'm yet to see if I get that same feeling at WDW.
We'll be at WDW for 10 days, so I hope we like it

Just don't compare until you finish your trip and are on the way home. Enjoy it for what it is ... A new adventure that many many people will never experience in their lives once let alone twice.

I did this thread up a while back as I still couldnt choose between the two.

In the end they both (WDW & DL ) are very special places for many different reasons. Diversity wins out!

re: the LAX connection thing...

when we were there last year, from the time our time landed to the time we walked out the front door took us just over 1 hr.

if you have phones/ipads etc enabled with wifi or have purchased a data stick etc, i would recommend turning it on as soon as you pick up your bags and checking in online for your connecting flight while waiting to get through customs. that way, once you're through, you can skip the check in line and just go straight to baggage check/security etc and head straight for the gate.

i would also recommend asking for the fast pass from the flight crew to make your journey go a little more smoothly through the terminal/immi/customs etc.

yay for you that your connecting flight departs the same terminal - ours is 4 terminals away and i'm seriously considering just jumping in a taxi :)

naaaahhh...do the airport sprint......fairly easy, as long as your bags have wheels.....:thumbsup2 you're young

Alicia - I agree with Karen!! ^^^

I have done the hop from Tom Bradley to Terminal 1, with bags, no trouble at all - and that is one end of LAX to the other. And I'm a **lot** older than you!!! You will be fine - it would probably take you longer to get a cab than walk! The terminals aren't that far apart, really.

99 days:cool1::cool1:

That is a big milestone to reach! It will be here before you know it :dance3:

So, with very little left to book I am wondering what I will do for the next 3 months

We're doing 1 night at LAX when we fly in from NYC, and have found Los Angeles Airport Marriott for $95USD inc tax, my only issue is we get in just after midnight and i'm wondering if they have a shuttle for pickup? If not I guess we'll just get a taxi LOL It's not far at all i'm just thinking with the luggage and stuff.

So also NYC accom left to book, waiting for rates to come down (hopefully) and also get some baseball tickets, better get on that.

It's getting so close now, we're all in saving mode, sold a big ticket item the other day which gave a small cash injection which is nice :goodvibes

And it's nearly tax time!

On the flip side I don't want to see my next gas bill :scared1:

Bec - where did you book LAX Marriott? I am having trouble finding anything under USD120 per night in LAX at the moment!! :scared1: I keep on checking, though. I've budgeted USD150, but of course I'm always out for a bargain..!! :rotfl:
What to do in the next 3 months?? Read the DIS!! :surfweb: That's my plan, anyway!!! ;) It's a good feeling to have most of your plans set!
Happy countdown..!! :cool2:

stayed at the marriott, the shuttles run 24/7
so just go to the shuttle curb pick up and wait till you see it....
easy peasy:thumbsup2
i do enjoy the lax hotels...great for the low $$$$$

hotels.com is a good place to start looking

you may be able to get the LAX radisson for around $65 usd....
